They quoted me 1-2 weeks, but a month passed with zero updates. The front desk staff was clueless and kept making empty promises to follow up. After being told the gunsmith was out sick, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. At the two-month mark, I finally reached the gunsmith, who claimed they needed a "special tool." I gave them two more weeks, but today I finally had enough and went to pick it up. My gun was returned to me completely in pieces. On top of that, they had the audacity to charge me $45 just to pick up my unfinished firearm. I paid it just to get out of there. I took the pieces over to Petaluma Gun and Reloading Supply, and their gunsmith knocked the whole project out in a couple of hours. Take your business elsewhere!

After multiple in-person visits to the store, multiple calls, dealing with multiple salespeople, even being told at one point they weren't aware my gun was in their possession at all, then they "found it", then "it will be done next week", it's now the week after "next week" and the agreed upon work is still not complete. 6 months after dropping it off, I had to throw in the towel. I went in person, again, today, and told them just give me the gun back. Months of haggling and dealing with evasion, stalling, and being given the run around is enough to make any potential customer stop listening to words and start observing patterns and behaviors. This is a good ol' boy establishment where if you don't know the staff on a first name basis, you're ignored while they chit-chat with their friends. If your last name isn't McNear, Zibura, McDonnell (or whatever it has to be), you're dead last on the shop's priorities. Rarely do I take the time to write lengthy negative reviews. I will never return to this establishment for any reason. The fact that the business owner has never once taken the time to respond to a single negative Yelp review in an attempt to mend relationships with clients speaks volumes and is a crystal clear and accurate reflection of the current customer experience at this business.

A while back I saw they had a few 1891 Mosin Magnets, very hard to find these WW1 relics, the ones I usually see these days are the dragoon variant with cut down barrels. They currently have a few M1 Garands that look really nice and at a price that is more than fair. They also had a DWM Luger P-08 dated 1914. I could not believe the low price for it, I've wanted one for over 20 years and now it's mine. I never thought I would get to own such a piece of functional art and history. These guys know their stuff and take good care of their customers. This place is about an hour from me but I'll be visiting more often.
