The initially quoted price for 60mm endless hoops was a bit more than I was allowing myself to spend and I was about to say thanks but no thanks. Mak then sweetened the deal. I went for it and crossed my fingers since I was buying sight unseen. The earrings came in on day three. They look great but are extremely thin...probably the thinest hoops I have ever owned. They are beautiful but I'm hoping they are more durable than they look because I want to be comfortable wearing them freely without worry. Fingers crossed and just to be on the safe side I decided to go for the third party insurance to protect my investment. We visited Diamonds Direct in early April and our wedding was in mid May, so the timing was getting a bit tight. While we were there, Heather (plus another staff member who I cannot remember the name of!) worked with us to help me find my perfect wedding band that complemented my engagement ring. They were patient and helpful throughout the process. Upon making the purchase, we were informed that the ring would be ready a week before our wedding so that we would have time to pick it up and make sure everything looked good. When we got to the week before mark, we hadn't received any updates so I gave them a call, and they informed us that there had been some delays and they would have the ring ready 2 days before the wedding. This caused us unnecessary stress in the days before our wedding, but thankfully Heather called to let us know that the ring was ready 4 days before the wedding! When the manager called to say my watch was back in the store from the repair location he said there was a miscommunication and the repairs were done and they weren't releasing the watch until I paid for it. He said it was my word against his employees and that he had to side with his employee because he didn't know who I was. How would I know beforehand I could walk in there and get an estimate and verbal approval it or not and try to get it fixed for free saying I didn't approve it? How would I know they don't use written estimates and approvals. Really? I said that's fine, let's settle it by watching the security tapes when I was in there and listen and watch it when I said do not repair it. The manager said I don't have access to that and I don't think there's sound. He wouldn't give me the district manager's phone number to call, but he called him and finally settled on $2000. It was either that or take them to Small Claims Court, which I was fully willing to do, but decided it wasn't worth my time and effort and money. Also, the face of my watch was scratched so now I have a ROLE watch. I never thought the employee would lie/forget about it when he screwed up or I would've got something in writing. Lesson learned, don't worry about getting something in writing from them. Just don't use them. Terrible business practice. He said it's happened before and I said oh really no wonder. I've been using this store for a long time and these are different employees than the last time I was in there so not sure what's going on, but definitely would not go back to them.
