I have followed Marc Samuels Jewelers on insta for several years. So when I needed to have a high end watch serviced, I took it to them! They sent it off to their watch "expert" who proceeded to return it stating that it was "not authentic". I purchased this watch for my husband 32 years ago for our first wedding anniversary. I purchased it from a three generations established jeweler in Charleston, SC. I have the original paperwork, box, hang tag and lapel pin that came with my original purchase. The salesman who helped me was even surprised! He was very polite I must add. But he referred me to the manager who simply dismissed me by stating "why don't you get a second opinion?" I left feeling very angry and embarrassed. I might add that I am a high end watch collector. And although they have several beautiful timepieces at Marc Samuel's and the salesperson who helped me was very soft spoken and kind, I will not ever go back. Partially due to the manager's dismissal of my situation and secondly due to the fact that if their repair person cannot effectively recognize a 32 year old Breitling Jupiter Pilot watch, then maybe he shouldn't be repairing their customer's high end purchases. read more

I have had to go back multiple times to get my jewlery and they keep promising to call when it will be available, but they first replaced a clasp on my bracelet with the WRONG COLOR and promised that they would make it right although they have failed communication and I am very unhappy with the customer service that I was provided with or lack there of. I had an amazing experience at the jewelry store today and I just wanted to share it. I walked in, not knowing what I wanted just thinking price point, but the owner Myrad and his team really took care of it all for me. I showed the girl a picture of my wife she instantly knew what she needed. We went to the hoops I was like no not my wife, but we got diamond encrusted hoops, that y wife is going to fall in love with I know already! This jewelry store is top notch! I looked for awhile for a jeweler that could make my ring, 3- 1 carat diamonds(1 for each of my kids) as well as re-mount my diamond with what I had envisioned. I decided to have them make make a mount for my ring first, and when I went to pick up my husband surprised me with my 3C ring as well. We went here about a month ago in search of my 10 year anniversary upgrade. We met with Saffi who is the absolute bomb!! Super cool guy who worked with us on picking the perfect band and diamond. So I love this place because it is very beautiful outside and inside but has a laid back approach. They have a huge selection of designers. Saffi broke down the differences in each designer and the types of jewelry they make which was helpful. The whole time we worked with him we did not feel pressured to buy or that we didn't have the right budget for them. We felt comfortable. I'll admit, we were hesitant to go on once we pulled in. Don't trust your Rolex to them for quality repairs or inspection. I took my Rolex in because I wore it in the lake, and it got condensation on the face. I took it to them to inspect it to see if the seals had broken because it was still working. I also took my husband's Rolex in for cleaning, which he was told when he purchased from them years ago, that the cleaning would be free for life of watch. They told us that the repairs for mine would be $1950, and my husband's watch needed similar repairs for $1950 for rust, parts and labor. Wow, the coincidence that both watches need the same kind of repairs for the same amount!!! We declined their service, I went to pick up the watches, mine was not working and would not wind. I asked for it to be fixed and in working condition like it was when I brought it in. They agreed. I waited for 2 weeks, I called them, and they said it would now cost $1595 for me to repair the watch. I told them this was unacceptable that your watch repair had not put the watch back together properly because the watch was working when it was dropped off. I finally talked with the owner, he was very short and unapologetic, he took no responsibility for the fact that my watch won't wind or work properly. What an ordeal with no resolution!!! read more

This is, by far, the best customer service I've experienced with a jeweler. They really do walk the walk about building long term relationships. Three years ago I was looking for opal jewelry. They created a pair of stud earrings from stones they had on site. Not a hugely expensive transaction but they treated me like I was their most important customer that day. Fast forward to this year, and my 25th wedding anniversary. Husband bought me a Rolex and Asa patiently showed us multiple faces and bezels, until I had the perfect combination. We had an interesting idea for a custom necklace. Totally outside the box of what you'd normally find. I wanted a curved setting and an emerald cut stone. Coco, Murad, Asa, and Tom all worked with us to find the perfect diamond and educated us along the way. We verified the stone number under the microscope before it was set. They communicated exactly what my vision was to their goldsmith. The piece came in on time and way under budget compared to another jeweler we went to and I could not be more over the moon! Sadly when I showed them I was told all the reasons why they could not but only after they completed job. No emails or calls.
