Went in today for the first time. They have a big selection of pan dulce. When we got there the bolillo was also just coming out. It smelled so good (and it was) the champurrado was on point one of the best I've ever had. It was just perfect the consistency, sweetness everything was just right. Popped in after dinner for some fresh pan dulce and I'm bummed I haven't come here before. (My pickings didn't last long enough for a picture.) They had an incredible amount of options and everything was fresh and rightly priced. This is your typical panadería with a custom cake bakery attached. They also serve champurrado and cold Mexican sodas. We will definitely be back when we are in the area, especially because they do not bake everything with lard. I went there last week for a tres leches cake. The cake it self was really good but i would of preferred it with less frosting. So for future reference I would say order a cake in advance and ask for less frosting. I didn't buy bread but it looked very yummy. read more

I have been to San Antonio's other location, now defunct, and was quite impressed. Finally, we made it here and I am not disappointed. Lovely pan dulce. I particularly love the pound cake style cupcakes. Don't know what they are called, but they are bigger and better than most. There is a nice variety of treats. And the cinnamon pinwheels are light and as big as frisbees. This is one popular place. They run out quickly, so an early morning visit is the way to go. I only wish they had more locations. Say, in Corona? Our bakeries leave much to be desired. (Hope they pick up on the subtle hint!) read more

Stopped by to pick up my two dozen sweet bread and damn I noticed it was more expensive than usual. Well to my surprise like everywhere else who's taking advantage of the working people they raised their prices to make a buck. Had I known that I'd have gone elsewhere. Go somewhere else. There's places that haven't raised their prices. I know times are tough but their tough on everyone. I won't be back,there's another bakery down the street that hasn't raised their prices. read more

There is a TON of selections here. Their cookies are pretty good; that's all I can vouch for at the moment. It's one of those places where multiple trips are needed to taste a variety of things! The one thing I didn't like here is that you walk in, take a tray and tongs, and place what you want on the tray, which is unlined and there is no tissue paper around. I found this local bakery while driving near my house. I always wondered about it but, never actually stopped by until a couple of weeks ago when I was looking for my birthday cake. It's a very small bakery a hole in the wall. Their bread is freshly baked. I bough sweet bread and my dad bough me a vanilla cake with strawberry filling. The bread was good. My favorite one is the bolillo stuffed with cream cheese, ham and jalapeño. The cake was delicious we all liked it a lot. It was very moist and frosting wasn't that sweet just perfect. My mom who is very picky with cakes, did like the flavor of the cake. If was nicely decorated with red flowers. I will come back for more birthday cakes and bread. read more

Conchas are fresh 3/$1 on Wednesdays They have tortas available in the morning usually run out by 7:30am. Coffee is good, especially if u put half coffee and half canela. Champurrado is also tasty has enough cinnamon, authentic. $1.85 for small. Staff is friendly, if u plan to stop by be prepared to wait in a long line if you get there after 7am.
