The general area is clean and pressure washed early in the morning . You don't see trash and cigarette butts everywhere . All cities should take notes . Good job San Antonio !

I really like the vibe of this place, as it reminds me of the swap meets we used to have back in Orange county at the fairgrounds. The other thing I like about this place is how well kept the grounds are, it's lush and green and has plenty of spaces to bring out whatever it is you would like to sell. The other thing that's great is this is perfect for any kind of car show. The Volkswagen show that I attended easily could hold 350 to 400 cars. All of the staff that I've met have been great, and this place is run like a well-oiled machine. Bottom line? I will definitely be coming back here as long as the car shows are still happening. The kids were able to pet and feed the farm animals, play on the playground (they loved the swing carousel), launch potatoes in the potato launchers, go on a tractor pulled hay ride and the highlight was the pony rides. FYI: you need to supply your own potatoes, carrots and apples to feed the animals. All though the weather was hot; Julie provided us with a generator to run an industrial fan at our assigned pavilion. We were able to host a party for 50+ adults and children at an affordable price. If you are looking for a unique experience and venue for a party, I would recommend Owl Creek Farms (ask for Julie, she is very responsive). We lost contact with the owners entirely, and our attempts to reach out for clarification or resolution were ignored. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and frustrating. Clear policies and reliable communication are basic expectations when working with any business, especially for something as important as a venue. I strongly suggest others proceed with caution and get everything in writing before committing. It was evident that the owners were only interested in scamming us out of our money.

I wouldn't suggest going for public play during the weekends when there are a lot of parties, because you won't be allowed to play.

That's the weapon you get as you run through a course with a 'team leader' and shoot your way to safety! $25 at the gate gets you 1 run through plus 75 rounds of paintballs. Extra rounds is $5. Check out their website for more info, or for any changes. How it went down: Paid the $$ at the gate and parked the car. Since we are meeting friends, we hung out for a bit. What to do? There were 2 food vendors selling turkey legs brisket and your typical hot dogs with the fixings. Choice of drinks was soda, water and hot chocolate for the colder nights. All reasonably priced. Giant movie projector set up beside the course playing zombie movies for those who are just chillin. Looses 1 star, because for some reason it's playing sound but no picture which was a bit of a bummer. Though I felt sorry for the operator who was obviously frustrated, he should have tried it out ahead of time to make sure it all worked. Once all our friends arrive we get in line. There is 6 of us all together which is a dream team and the max you need on your team. If you don't have enough people, they will put you with another group to add up to six. Sucks for you, if you want to try it alone or with a smaller group, but you may be able to sweet talk them your way. Looses another star b/c once we were in Line it took 2 hours for it to be our turn, even though they try to get a group through every 15 min. Gaines a star b/c when it's your turn, you are pumped and a little scared at the same time (at least I was). It was fun and a little intense and I totally see why you have to be in some kind of good shape with no health problems, b/c you are running through the whole course when your not shooting the bad guys. All in all, as long as you are with friends/family, bring some extra CASH for food or extra rounds, you'll have a good time. And get in line ASAP so you don't have to wait forever! They have a great idea. Maybe next October they can build upon it to make it even better. Was it worth the $25? Yes and no. Costs just as much as a haunted house does, but haunted houses won't let you shoot anyone with paint balls. You decide...

The 9am slot was perfect, first thing in the am and not too hot. Military or large group discount was offered for booking. The one way road to the zip line parking was pretty rugged, basically dirt and rocks, so take an SUV or truck in. Plenty of signage to direct you to the parking lot. After we parked, we checked in and met our two instructors Mack and Logan. During the first half hour, they helped get us into our gear and helmets, talked about safety rules and guidelines, and went thru a practice zip line. Next, we met Rodney? , the manager, ( sorry can't remember your name ) and he drove us in a small school bus up to the top of the zip line. Nice guy. There were a total of 9 zip lines ... the course zig zagged back and forth to each base, only towards the last line we walked a bit to get to the last zip, which was long ride . Easy peasy! The views were gorgeous, lush, and green as it had just rained the week before. Our young instructors and the manager were great, we felt safe and in good hands. Bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, and get ready for a good time !
