Total dive, but worth a stop if you can find parking. You'll order off a piece of paper at the counter, no pressure to stand in line. The restaurant is clean and there was someone walking around constantly cleaning off tables as soon as someone got up, she pre-bussed our table so much we started to feel like she was pushing us out even though it was pretty dead inside so our seats weren't needed. The food is good, but I wouldn't say amazing for the price that you pay. Tacos were dry but I feel like that's 90% the homemade tortillas. Sour cream is served in packets and we didn't venture to the salsa bar, but as I'm typing this I'm regretting that since it probably would've helped the tacos not be so dry. Will I go back? Maybe if in the area and friends want to go, but I'm not making a special trip.

This was such a shock, I went there 9/18 and carried a friend and her first experience and I wanted something old school that I had been going to over the last 30 years. The chicken taco one was full of bones and the second the chicken was dry and overcooked like a piece of Bacon. Her Enchilada plate was just awful rice dry like gravel and maybe 3 pieces of chicken in the sauce. The Queso dip was lumpy like cold Velvetta cheese. Not the Satco from the last and poor quality control.

SATCO is a good spot for some quick grab and go food. For quick tacos, it does the job. They offer beef, chicken, and fish tacos and you can add toppings on it like lettuce, tomato, onion, guacamole. I like the fish tacos a lot as it doesn't taste fishy and has light breading and the tartar sauce definitely seals the deal. I opted to add guacamole on it and for the fish tacos, I would get it without guacamole because the tartar sauce is good alone with it. I love that they have a salsa bar for your chips with different heat levels. I know they can't do much about this, but the parking situation is tough because there is a parking lot next to it, but it's Panera's lot and they have signs and someone watching the lot so you cannot park there.

Satco is such a classic Nashville establishment. They have a convenient paper checklist ordering system, which you fill out and give to the cashier. Each taco is customizable and whatever toppings you want can be added for a very small fee, such as lettuce, cheese, tomato, etc. They have a complimentary pico and salsa bar too. I really liked the enchilada plate, which also has rice and beans. The tacos were okay, I thought the chicken was a little dry but I enjoyed the bean and cheese taco and chili taco. The food was ready very fast. You won't find food at this price point in the vicinity of Vanderbilt and I'm grateful they're still around after so long.

Wow what a great spot! So much outdoor seating, and really great vibes! You order inside on paper, then pay at the counter. The food was ready almost immediately!!! Really recommend the queso and the buffalo wings. Wow!

Made a return visit after all these years. If you come back expect inflation prices. I noticed that the sheets no longer showed the price of the items (unless my memory is bad and they never did, but I could have sworn they showed the price) I got 3 regular ground beef tacos, a drink, chips and queso. The total was $18.95 I know inflation is wild and all but that seemed a bit high. I also seem to remember the queso being way better than this. The queso I had today was very similar to molten velvetta with a hint of salsa added. In hindsight I should have foregone the chips and queso but I had a sense of nostalgia that I needed to relive from the golden old days (2007-2011) lol

I'm torn with this place because the food is good, but it was hit or miss for some. The tacos are similar to taco Bell sized soft tacos and the crunchy tacos were full, but it says they recommend two toppings, but yet charge for all toppings. And I get it's only .25 a topping (sour cream is .40), but you should have two complimentary toppings like lettuce, tomato, or cheese and then charge for the onions, peppers, etc. Otherwise, it's just an expensive taco. The enchilada plate was very cheesy and saucy. Don't get me wrong, that is not a bad thing. But, it was a bit sloppy albeit tasty. I wouldn't get it again though. The beans were tasty though. Bean and cheese taco did it for me. Very tasty! The queso was good and you have a salsa bar with pico and salsa. The staff were friendly as all get out though. Very welcoming and friendly all around. From bringing us salsa to our table, cleaning up trays, taking our orders, holding the door. They have excellent customer service.

Now, I should have read about the parking situation on Reddit before coming here because boy, is parking rough. You either have a few street parking options (in which neighbors get upset, rightfully so), or you fork up the $25 for paid parking across the street. Well, only paid parking was available and I wasn't about to get scammed. So, we decided to do pickup (which was not available for online ordering at the time due to how busy they were). My husband went in and waited about 45 minutes or so while I sat in the car, sitting pretty in the driver's seat in paid parking without actually paying. Loopholes. Now, if it weren't for the atrocious parking situation, Redhead Stranger is absolutely a 5 star joint. 10/10. However, if you're going to cook up some delicious grub and be so amazing that you're featured on The Food Network, at least get the parking figured out. I mean, they literally have a roped off section for people waiting to get inside as if it's some club. This is a popular hamburger spot and maybe they don't need a designated parking area, people WILL figure it out because it's just that good. Clearly, Redheaded Stranger is doing just fine without people like me griping about the parking. We ordered their popular Green Chile Cheeseburger and yes, you do need to order it. It doesn't look amazing when you open the wrapper but the flavor is all there! My husband hates on smash burgers but this? Oh. He loved this. We also ordered their totchos and the frito pie, which were both good, but the totchos being more memorable and more delicious. We also ordered a barbacoa taco and the brisket taco. Now, if I would have known how good that brisket taco was, I would have skipped paying for the frito pie and totchos and would have ordered a handful of the brisket tacos instead. The meat was so flavorful and melted perfectly into the homemade tortilla. Lord have mercy, that brisket paired with the green chile cheeseburger had me nearly acting like Meg Ryan. If you know, you know. I've also never seen my husband devour food like he did, which was the opposite of what I did. I savored every bite and saved some for later because I knew it'd be awhile before I'd ever attempt parking here again, which sucks...because the Redheaded Stranger is SO good.

This place came recommended from a friend and it seemed exciting to go to the restaurant of a singer! It is right in the heart of the downtown bar area. We had a very large group of people on a Saturday night. We had a bit of a wait as they do not take reservations. They seated us upstairs all together sort of at a row of tables separate but all on a row which worked out ok. We were there to celebrate a 21st birthday. They did say Happy Birthday but nothing special beyond that was given or provided which was a little disappointing but I think everyone in Nashville is celebrating something so I get it. Service was very good. Chips with salsa and guacamole was provided upon seating for everyone. When requested more was provided. We had one person who was Gluten Free and they appeared to take care in explaining options as well as answering any questions people had. Drinks were refilled and kept flowing (alcoholic ones). And for a busy Saturday night meals came out in a good timing. Everyone enjoyed their meal although one person had bitten into something hot and did not like it and they were happy to replace the meal. The meal that I had was fantastic! The steak quesadilla. The steak was tender and extremely flavorful. Honestly I had been a bit hesitant to order steak due to being very picky over steak quality. But I was very happy with it! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and at the end of the meal the server actually was ok with splitting up the ticket even tho we were a very large group which many many establishments refuse to do so this made me very pleased! Oh they had a live band playing on the first floor which was nice. There is an elevator at the back of the restaurant which is nice for those unable or just not wanting to climb a flight of stairs . The flower wall with the Nashville name on it made such a great backdrop for photos! They had two unisex bathrooms on the first floor. I would definitely recommend and go back to this place!
