Only once can I think of a positive experience which was one I dropped the instrument off for repair about a week and half ago. This was the only time I was not talked down to or made to feel uncomfortable. I've played clarinet for over 20 years...I'm not dumb regarding what I need, etc Today will be my last visit to this store. In early August, we overhauled his clarinet with new pads. My son had some bent keys and things that needed to be addressed recently, but I was surprised to see one of those things was 4 new pads in less than 10 months. I mentioned it to the individual assisting me and he was like no that's normal, etc. He became very condescending towards me. From my experience, that is not normal, so I am within my right to question it. The older gentleman on the back just kind of nodded his head and didn't make any comments. As I was reviewing the receipt with the repairs and examining the instrument, he walked over to the door and stood in a semi confrontational stance and stared at me as if to hurry me up and rush me out of the store. Go to another shop that will appreciate you, your business, and not talk down to you.

But don't get me wrong, i really feel if you keep a keen eye on him, you could not find a better producer. PS: he is very impatient and only wants to teach advanced talent. If you fall short of this, don't go to his school! You will be a bull to the booth slaughter where he is will just shower you with blown up success stories just to filibuster-blunder time so he doesn't have to hear your horrible voice. Before signing up, I asked if the instructor would be able to handle a high-energy toddler and were reassured that it wouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to be the case. While I understand the importance of structure and rules, the approach taken didn't feel supportive or age-appropriate. There were moments where he seemed to be singled out or excluded--for example, when other children were given instruments and he was not. He was also removed from class, which for a 30-minute session means he missed the entire experience, without other options offered (like having a parent assist). I completely understand that not every class is the right fit for every child, but at this age, patience and redirection go a long way. It was disappointing because he genuinely enjoyed being there. I hope the program can consider a more supportive approach for younger children who are still learning how to navigate structured environments.

This class was just 30 minutes every Saturday morning and my kiddo absolutely loved it. The teacher was super patient with the little ones, and made it a very fun experience for everyone. Unfortunately the class was removed off the program and he will no longer be able to attend. However, I look forward to coming back to Music on Magnolias once he is older and he can attend their Music Exploration classes.

They solved all my problems and even set us up on a practically new violin rental that was massively superior in quality to the Terra Nova violin we previously purchased!
