Vintage to modern and inexpensive to "I may need to take out a loan". The prices are always competitive with the market norms. The vast majority of the stock is used gear. So, if they don't have what you're looking for today, it may be there tomorrow or next month.

The Strat is a 'Closet Classic'--it is designed by the Fender Custom Shop to have checking and age. To use factory relicing as an excuse to offer 10% of market value is either a lack of product knowledge or a deliberate attempt to mislead. The $4600 dollar guitar I was looking at looked like it had Lost a long-time customer today. I've been a loyal supporter of Lark Guitars for years, spending a substantial amount of money here and recommending them to others despite their premium pricing. I believe in supporting local shops, but after today, I will never step foot in this establishment again. I went in today prepared to purchase a $4,600 Custom Shop Telecaster. For trade-in, I brought a PRS SC 58 and a Fender Custom Shop Closet Classic Stratocaster. After waiting, I was met with an insulting offer of $300 per guitar ($600 total). Claiming these high-end instruments are "too beat up" to offer more than entry-level Squier prices is either a blatant attempt to scam a loyal customer or a total lack of product knowledge. For a shop that deals in boutique gear, they should know exactly what those models are worth. I packed my gear and walked out. If you value your instruments or your time, I suggest you look elsewhere. They've lost my business for good.

And have no idea why a third relative is necessary. Also if this was better explained at the point of sale it would have eased a lot of my frustration. ORIGINAL REVIEW This place is awful. We were sent there by my child's elementary school. It was the only choice we were given which makes it so much worse. They have very poor business practices. They require a social security number which they keep written down which is very poor security practice. Also they require spouses name address phone and an additional relative's name, address and phone. I understand checking my drivers license and keeping information including credit card on file but all of this is unreasonable. Further it definitely should not be kept on a single piece of paper. Further we are renting because my daughter has never played violin and she may hate it. But they require a 32 month contract! This is for fifth grade, yet the contract goes through the end of seventh grade. That is also not reasonable. The staff were also rude. When I complained and questioned these things I was told I could purchase the instrument out right if I didn't like it. Again this was the only option given to us by the school. The owner appeared on the parents meeting zoom call. If he is going to work directly with the school he should have better business practices.

When it arrived, I could see it needed a good setup and some light fretwork. The tuners didn't inspire confidence and I found the ceramic humbuckers sounded a touch bright. Also, the guitar my daughter originally wanted was the Tom Morello start because of the mirror pickguard. I ordered a new pickguard, Seymour Duncan alnico humbuckers and locking tuners. I tried Alamo Music first and they said they could do the work for 350 and it would take three weeks. Hanukkah was a week away! Then I went to Puretone and they did the work in one week for over 200 bucks less! The neck feels great! The pickups sound great! It looks amazing! My daughter loves her guitar. There was no damage or anything, but it just didn't play right. I brought it to San Antonio so I could noodle around with it in my hotel room and finally decided to find someone to take a look at it. I found Marco on Yelp and the reviews looked good. I met Marco at his shop and pointed out the issues. He quickly identified the problem and gave me a very reasonable quote. When I picked up the guitar, it was perfect. He fixed the problem and gave it a good cleaning and polish. It looks better than it has in a decade. Marco is friendly, provides excellent customer service, has reasonable prices, quick turnaround and is extremely flexible with scheduling. When I come back down here, I'm bringing my old 80's era Strat and have him get it back into shape. I can't recommend Marco highly enough. Do business with him - you won't regret it!

I went to GC to get the Fender Jaguar my father had left me rewired. I was told that their tech…read morecould handle it. If you know the Jaguar, there is a lot going on and not a job for the novice. After about 3 days I was called and was told that they could not figure it out, as signal was not passing through. I was referred to another guitar tech in the area and so I reached out. They called me back and told me that unfortunately, wiring was not their strong suit, but they knew a guy that was the right person for the job. Thus I was referred to Marco. I texted Marco and asked about repairing my Jaguar. He responded right away with photos of other wiring work he had done as well as many other similar fenders he had rebuilt and rewired. I knew I had found the right person. So I met with him at his shop and showed him my Jag. First off he knew what each switch did as well as some subtle tweaks that he could do to the Jag that would make it play even better than stock. Marco had it about 2 days before he started sending me photos and videos of the completed work, as well as one of him playing the Jaguar to demonstrate all the functionalities of the switches, to which I had never been educated on. I told Marco how appreciative I was that he brought new life to my father's guitar. He WAS/IS the right person for the job and I will ALWAYS go to him for any other wiring work. Mr. Guzman inspected my Guitar and advised me that the Guitar was in good condition but the "Bridge" had a slight separation and would have to be repaired soon. He called over a Colleague who confirmed the assessment. Both showed me exactly where the bridge separation was located! Mr. Guzman gave me a recommendation of a business that could repair the Guitar! Instead of a full restring I asked to replace the one that was broken. Mr Guzman did a great job and retuned my Guitar. Great Customer Service, Expert free assessment of my Guitar! I highly recommend this business. PS: I have a Bachelor's Degree in Management plus I have been trained in two culinary schools, managed restaurants successfully, I've taught exemplary customer service to wait-staff, I've waited on tables and had my own successful catering business.
