I have to saw, blowing a tire in the freeway in our RV was terrifying but the guys with San Clements Towing came to the rescue. At first it was hard enough finding someone who would come out and help up put a spare on our 27 ft dully at 8 PM but once we called San Clemente, not only were they willing to help but the owner came out and made sure the driver had back up. We blew an interior tire in the back so they had to remove 2 big tires just to get started. Due to the age and style, a brittle valve broke when trying to get the spare in place and even though it was close to 10 pm, the guys called in a favor from a friend to get the tire valve switched out so we could make it to a shop. This kind of great customer service and personal interaction made a very scary situation manageable. We hope it doesn't happen again, but if it does I know San Clemente Towing will be there to lend a helping hand. read more

This little tow truck pulls up around 2:30, guy walks up to me, is this yours? I said yes. He starts spewing on how much it costs, and AAA is paying $500, I need to give him $50. First of all, no flat bed? 2nd I have AAA RV coverage, no I'm not paying extra. I'm waiting for Oceanside tow, not San Clemente.....same owner!! What year do you think I was born?? He covers his tracks, says no, no extra but AAA ...... Rambling on. Walks back and says, "I'm glad I don't have to tow it, looks like it's loaded with bugs. " As the mom and mother in law of 3 United States Marines, I said in reply, Phuck you! Got my RV towed for $200, waited less than an hour! Had some issues with my battery, well so I thought. Used my roadside asst and got connected to Mike (Micheal). He did the basic jump routine and nothing. He checked the connections and nothing. I was expecting him to give up and "too bad so sad not my problem" like so many others. However, he pulled out a list of trouble shooting methods from tapping the starter, rolling the Jeep back and fourth, turning the electronics on/off and boom! The ol'97 Wrengler started right up. Had them come out to help with a window in my rear seat that wouldn't go up. I had tugged up on it a couple times before hand while pushing the window button up. Basic trouble shooting. I already did this and had said over the phone, I was hoping for them to use some kind of jig to pull up the window at least, was told to just put a garbage bag over it until I can take it to a mechanic. I was told over the phone they would be able to help out with the window and asked to speak to the guy to make sure I wasn't wasting my money and their time by having them come out. Basically paid 50$ to have someone tug on my window and tell me good luck. The guy who came out was friendly enough, it's a shame they still charged for essentially nothing, wouldn't have minded paying them 20$ just for driving out to see they couldn't fix the issue. Worst towing place I've EVER heard of. Complete scammers and will fuck you over. I called and asked over the phone the pricing. He CLEARLY said $80 for pick up and $7 per mile. Which would have added up to no more then $150. It was 7 miles away. He charged me $295 when I got to my storage unit. So he literally doubled what he told me over the phone. Complete scam and they WILL take advantage of you if you're military, I know first hand. read more

The towing technician was a complete idiot who tried raising the quoted amount of 125$ to 200$. He drove the distance of 1 block to the auto shop. I have used San Clemente towing twice now in the last few months and both times the service has been excellent! I tried getting a tow through my insurance company the first time after catalytic converter was stolen it was an hr wait just to get through to someone to schedule a tow at that time due to bad weather on the east coast. SC towing was able to get to me in 30 min. Most recently I was rear ended and was able to schedule a tow through my new vehicle service warranty. After zero response from the tow company who was scheduled to be to me within 90 min. (To which I only found out by calling back the 1-800 number for the vehicle service and the automated system giving me updates) the local company was supposed to reach out and text with their info and ETA. After 2 hrs and multiple calls to the local company again no response from them, the vehicle service cancelled that request and said they could start the process over. At this point I had been waiting already 2 1/2 hrs. I called San Clemente towing and he was able to get to me in 15 min!! I cannot say enough about how great their service and responsiveness is!!
