A lot of other restaurants just serve their skillet dishes in regular bowls, so this was a huge bonus! On top of that, the skillet meals come with your choice of pancakes, toast, or a biscuit with gravy. The portions were incredibly filling, and we both had to take leftovers home. I had to resort to dumpster diving to find unflavored CoffeeMate. All but two were French Vanilla flavored. The coffee's pleasant taste did not require any flavoring to mask its flavor. The chips on the mug were near the handle and avoidable. It had been decades since I had a kielbasa. When I saw the Kielbasa Skillet on the menu, I decided to order it. Since sourdough was not available, I opted for Texas Toast which is not often given as a choice. As expected, it was a thick slice of white bread. The Kielbasa Skillet arrived steaming hot. While I could enjoy the kielbasa, the diced potatoes needed to be cooled before I could eat them without burning my mouth. Beneath the fried egg, the green and red colors of the peppers were very noticeable. Assuming there was any signage, there needed to be better indication of their 4% credit card processing fee. My husband and I decided to try Wisco Tx Cafe based on the reviews. It is a cute little "hole in the wall" place. The food is generous size portions and extremely tasty. Our server was very efficient, but the restaurant was understaffed. While our server was excellent, she appeared to be the only employee working the front. I noticed that all parties' orders came out in order the order that we were seated and ordered, but the service could have been faster if there would have be another pair of hands. That being said...the food is great! The skillets are huge portions and I kept sneaking seasoned potatoes from my husband's plate. 9.5/10 Fantastic place. Service is attentive. Atmosphere feels at home. Food portions are more than enough (I'm 6'4 250lbs and I took half the skillet home). Gravy is home made. The biscuits are delicious. Wouldn't change a thing. I will say that the eggs and skillet need a little salt and pepper for my personally taste but I like the fact that it's good on its own and those that want a little more can add a little. I was excited for this place because I had heard great things about the food and customer service and overall experience from multiple people but unfortunately my visit was not at all as I expected. I had an hour lunch and in that period of time all I was able to get was a cup of coffee...there were various parties of more than 3 people per table and I only saw one server, there is only so much she could do. I ended up having to ask for my food to be prepared to go because I ran out of time and figured I'd just eat it at work once I got a chance but to my disappointment whenever I opened up my box of food I discovered that my crepes were burnt... What a hidden gem! Don't let this spot's unassuming location fool you. Make sure to check it out! We received some of the best service we have ever had from a wonderful gentleman named Joshua. He was kind and eager to please and he was attentive without being intrusive. Then there was the food - reasonably priced and very tasty! I had a simple waffle, egg, bacon and sausage combo. The waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sausage was flavorful and the bacon cooked just right. The eggs were cooked to order perfectly as well. My husband's skillet was loaded high, so much so that there was plenty left over after he had eaten as much as he could. He was also excited to see a cooler full of Mexican, real sugar cokes. My only suggestions are really just my preferences. Real butter instead of margarine and Tabasco sauce as an option. Again, those are complete preferences as everything they served was wonderful. We both added jalapeños even though it didn't specifically say we could on the menu and we weren't charged additional. You also get to order up to 3 meats for no additional charge! This is a.brand new family-owned restaurant. They're a little rough around the edges, but the employees make up for it. Although the business is new, it doesn't mean the employees don't have experience. I had a Freshly ground burger that was probably 5 oz., of delicious freshly ground beef, cooked to perfection on a large sesame seed bun with all the fixings. The French fries were perfect. I can't wait to go back and try breakfast. The restaurant is basic, clean with about 50 chairs. It won't be long until people discover them, and the place will be busy.
