I'll start by saying the good. They got the job done, and I have 2 working locks. I appreciate that. Now to the rest. When I called and described the problem, they said no problem. A technician would call to arrange the time. 5 min later, someone e said they could come asap. I needed the next day. So they said that was fine. What they neglected to tell me was it would be a subcontractor who would come. I asked when scheduling if they could give me a ballpark idea of cost. I was told it would depend on what lock I picked. When the tech came, I wasn't given a choice of lock. All he had were one style for 89$each. First said the front door would be lock switch at 65$. Back door 125 as it was considered a new install since he had to redo the door to fit the lock. Ok fine. He got to work then asked for a vacuum. I thought cool he's gonna clean up the mess. It took 1.5 hours to install a deadbolt on the back door and he didn't clean up! Vacuumed once in th3 beg and the. Left all his crap on the floor and strewn about. Screwd on the floor pieces of the door etc. Next we get to the front door. The easier of the 2. Now he looks at us and says oh this will be more. 69$ more. Um why? ALEX the tech says, because it will be more work than I thought. It took hom 39 min so why did we have to pay more for something that took less work than the other door? Again he left crap everywhere. Old rotor disc pads, screws, metal pieces from the door that were sharp! And the name on his invoice?emergency locksmith. I never said it was an emergency. 490$ later he is done. Way overcharged us. read more

Called them a few times. They have you go through an "advisor" that knows nothing. They have to speak to the "technician" but ends up as the advisor calling back to tell you what they were told. It's a joke really. They have no clue in what they're doing. I asked 2 days in a row. They are trying to charge me $500 to program a key fob for my 2021 Toyota Sienna. It's not even including the cost for a key fob. And to top it off. $70 for each emergency key. Not including parts. I had a quote from them in May. It was way less for everything including the dealer that I've mentioned but they insist that it is the price. The girl that I spoke to was very rude. She had no idea what she was doing. If you have any follow up questions about pricing. They have to speak to their "technician" and call you back. Bad management and lack of training. Customers want precise information to make a good decision. But I'm glad they're bad at it. Because Its less money going with my local dealer than them. I rarely ever write reviews but when a business crosses me the wrong way. I'm not so sorry to leave a honest review about them. My local Toyota dealer on the other hand is charging $230 for labor to program my blank key fob and the cost per emergency key is under $50 bucks. The cost for the whole service is still $230 with unlimited key cutting included with one single price. No brainer to go with the dealer instead of this RIP off pricing up above. Called San Jose locksmith to help me unlock a vehicle. Over the phone I gave them information about the vehicle, my address on where they need to meet me, name, best phone number to reach me, and in less than one minute the conversation was over telling me that their mechanic will call me soon after to give me a quote and how long it'll take for him to be here. 4 minutes later their mechanic gives me a call and tells me he'll be here in 20 minutes. He shows up a couple minutes early and quoted me $100 to unlock the vehicle. Told him the price was fine and he got straight to work. Less than 3 minutes the car is finally free! Paid for his service and left. Receptionist who answered the phone was professional and sounded super friendly. Mechanic was also friendly and professional. read more

They can give you duplicates of vehicle or home or business door keys...but the price seems a lot higher than several locksmiths I've used in Milpitas, or Sunnyvale, or Santa Clara etc. Double for truck keys...just similar pricing for one sided padlock mini keys. spoke to Mary about getting a key I had cut for my truck mounted to a flip key fob I bought online for it. (turns out I could have just bought one from Mary they had a bunch in a glass case for practically every car!) My stump fingers couldn't get this tiny little metal pin into the hole to hold the new key in place and no tool I had could do the job. She knew what to do, and managed to get that pin in there despite slight damage to the pin- not sure if that was from my idiotic efforts or the tiny pin came that way..? we'll say it came that way. Anyways, I honestly can't believe she was able to do it but she had skill and the right tools and I had neither so here we are. On top of that she didn't charge me because of a minor scratch on the key chrome that happened. What? I had San Jose Locksmith key two Schlegde pad locks. One of the locks failed. I took the lock back to them. They supposedly fixed it. The failed the day. They are obviously a group of inexperienced locksmiths. I would not recommend them for securing property. I'm just saying. read more

Brought in my smart key with the emergency key. The smart key worked but the emergency key was too thick. Took me a whole week to get in contact of the technician who did it. They then told me over the phone they would fix it so we made another appointment (which was waiting for another whole week), only for them to tell me (2 hours before the appointment) that since it was a key that I brought in, they will not fix it. Yeah don't waste your time with this place. Edit: the manager Jacob got back to me and apologized. They scheduled me the day of and the technician showed me the key actually works, you just have to play with it a little and eventually the key wears itself down to the point where it slides in smoother every time. These guys are great, at first I just wanted someone to help me out and it felt like I was being brushed off but Jacob and his team really do care to make sure their customers are satisfied. You can go here knowing that at least these guys will go the extra mile and if not you'll know that they at least tried their best. Jacob offered me a refund for the emergency key but honestly that's not needed, these guys are already offering their services cheap. read more
