Rented from them, when I brought it in for regular service they repossessed the car. Framed it as an upgrade to a newer model. Tried to give me new car with a broken windshield (which if I had accepted they'd have billed me for it). I needed a ride home from the medical center. I use a walker, but I was sitting in the med center's wheelchair to wait outside. 2 separate Lyft drivers came about 7 min. apart. Each time I signaled to them and left text messages saying I was sitting in a wheelchair wearing a purple sweater. Each one ignored me and one ignored another patient who stood in front of his car and waved at him, pointing at me. Each Lyft car left after 5 minutes. I called Lyft a 3rd time, now wasting 20 min. The 3rd Lyft driver rolled down her window to tell me her car was too small for a wheelchair, and I told her the wheelchair belonged to the center and did not need to go in the car. She immediately got out of her car and came to help me. She was great. The other drivers deserved zero stars. She deserved 5+, so I'm giving Lyft only 1 star. But I will do another 5 star review for the excellent driver. The first 2 drivers should be ashamed of themselves. This experience may make me choose Uber next time. read more

There is no hub anymore It's a flex drive company for Lyft to rent cars. They push you to rent ev cars

This is the main (and only) Lyft office where Drivers can get support, rent a car, or talk to an actual person. Unfortunately Lyft does not have a phone number for routine matters. Lyft Driver support is typically handled within their app via chat. As a Lyft Rideshare Driver, I typically come to this location when I have a problem or cannot deal with the online in-app chat venue. At this location Drivers can get inspections done, rent cars, ask questions, or get assistance. For the most part, the staff here are friendly and try to be as fair as they can. The only unfortunate issue is the intentional lack of a contact phone number, so I would need to drive here from 30 miles away to get help sometimes. Also Lyft's policies tend to be inflexible for some things, but the people I deal with here can make up for that. The only other minor issues with this "hub" location is only 1 or 2 people at a time can go inside the building, and there is only a narrow entryway and a spot to stand before a greeter who will ask you for your info and reason you are there. After this "check in" process, you often need to wait outside or in a cramped space with two small chairs in the narrow entryway. The entire "office" where customers can go is literally 10x4 feet, so it's pretty small. For this reason I typically need to wait outside after I check in to talk to a Lyft rep. In any case, this is really the only viable option that exists to get driver support from a real person. The only other way is through the chat "support" within the Lyft driver app which is pretty limited, or pretty frustrating to use. The chat reps they use are likely outsourced offshore, and don't offer much help other than offering canned responses, or having to escalate most anything important. Overall I give the staff at the SJC Lyft hub kudos for trying to be as helpful as possible while listening to Drivers issues. read more

I fell behind on 1 week of payment. Lyft support contacted me and said I could work out a payment plan. When I called the number multiple times it would sit on hold for over an hour before just disconnecting. So I decided I'll just make the money since they keep automatically trying to charge my card. Well I'm sitting in a parking lot waiting on a ride to come and out of nowhere the car is being lifted and start getting pulled away. I screamed for help out my window until the tow guy dropped the car. Turns out that payment plan was just bs. They had a towing company stalking my house for over 2 days. Keep in mind the car stays parked on the street because I rent a room so if they really wanted to tow the car they could've did it when I was in my house. On top of that they still refuse to delete the rental from my account so I'm being charged for a car they've already received. These people are ridiculous. Don't rent a car from Lyft. read more

The only reason I can't give Five Stars ... is that they don't publish or offer phone contact for this location ... and the general Lyft Driver Help / Support is useless when it come to Flex Drive questions. read more

Do not drive with lyft ! They are scam artists. Should you value your sanity stay away. Please read the entirety of my review as it has useful Insight on my own accounts for driving with lyft experiences and scams produced by lyft. 1. That $800 sign on "bonus" is 100% a scam. They make you do 220 rides to get this "bonus" they fail to mention that you have 30 days to get this but you actually don't even get 30 days your time that it takes for your background to clear is taking out of your time of your bonus which is wrong and is false advertisement. 2. There is no one to speak to on the phone they only do chat also you cannot contact they will not let message them unless your 100% parked not walking or moving at all They have zero professionalism and flat-out just rude on the chats. 3. The app is so bug ridden that you can't even pick up customers or drop them off without driving in circles so that the app realizes that your at the right drop-off/pick up locations. 4. The lost and found "deal" is a bunch of bs I found this gentleman's $1,600 phone. No one to call you must use the app and not be moving at all, stopping me from working. Lyfts policy says that in the event that a passenger forgets an item is to message them and they tell you to hold on to it and they are supposed to give you $15 finder's fee this didn't happen. I returned the phone to the owners dealership I picked him up from not even a thank you. 5. The streak bonuses sometimes glitches so bad that it doesn't even recognize that I dropped of 3 passengers in a row and you guessed it..... no bonus for me. 6. The ride fairs are way too low 60 cents per mile. This is unfair in itself they do not pay for the time that it takes to get to the riders location it 100% on your dime. Sometimes they give you rides that are 20 minutes away and this is just taking money away from me 7. Ride cancellations. Let me tell you about this scam. This is the worst scam of all super dirty. So when you get a passenger that's far and you start making your way to the location and your like 3 minutes away and the passengers always have the bright idea to cancel when I'm either right around the corner or actul at the location. Lyft is supposed to give you $5 for any cancellations, well they recently changed that and now you technically you have to wait there 5 minutes and if they don't show up in that 5 minutes then I get the cancellation fee but if I wait there for 4 minutes and 30 seconds and the customer cancels it guess what..... You guessed it you do not get compensated. 8. Toll fees and bridge fee. Yup you guessed you are 100% responsible for having a fast track transponder. Example: say you have a rider to take to San Francisco well let's say it's a flat $48..... well they fail to mention that within that $48 is included the 6 dollar bridge fee so I actually didn't make $48 I made $42, so how is this me making $48 ? So know it's gonna make filing for taxes really hard. 9. Insurance is unbelievably high you have to have a special insurance but they do not compensate you for this and if you get in a wreck you have a large possibility of being sued which lyft won't help. 10. No incentives for long and committed drivers they actuly are trying to make it so that they don't need drivers anymore. I can say that this company are straight up abusing the driver to pay for autonomy cars meaning they do not have your best interest at hand. Just do yourself a favor RUN FAST HARD do not give them the upper hand because they are just using you to pay for self driving cars which means a bunch of Americans will not have jobs within the next 4 years or less it's all over the news they think we are stupid but we know what time it is.
