Stopped in for lunch with the husband , nice atmosphere, clean with friendly staff. Seated right away and drink order taken. Just don't. Seriously, just... do... not. We ordered takeout from here to try the food, a hectic busy day and I just did not feel like cooking for our family. I ordered 5 plates and only received 3. Didn't realize this until I got home. Also noticed the sides (rice, beans, crema salad) was not with the entrees... it was just the entrees... also ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was actually steak. They had also forgot a kids drink that comes with the kids meal, but I noticed that before I left. My husband returned back to the store (20 minute roundtrip) and was offered two free cheese dips... well, I ordered a large cheese dip so yeah no I don't need more queso... anyways, the manager had a waitress bring the food back up after declining the cheese dip. Why did he not come back himself and sincerely apologize or offer possibly a gift card or refund from my original order? I'm not looking for anything free but the service and responsibility is completely lacking. We have been looking for a quality Mexican Restaurant and we FINALLY found a great one. From the outside you may not think much of this restaurant but you'd be wrong. Service was excellent, food was tasty without being spicy and the portions were the most I've ever had at a Mexican Restaurant. Been living in Zebulon for over a year now and I have been to this establishment maybe 6 times. Each and every time the service is miserable to nonexistant. The wait staff does not seem to care whatsoever about guests that don't speak Spanish. Getting a beer is hard and getting someone to take your order or bring you guacamole or queso before your food seems impossible. The salsa tastes like marinara. Would give it no stars if allowed. Went tonight and was embarrassed in front of my kids by the Management over a Groupon that was still valid but they refused to honor. They claimed they haven't honored them since February. Redeemed one 3 weeks ago and showed the redeemed voucher to prove it. Person who redeemed it, Juan, came to the table and lied to my face saying he didn't do it. The Asst Manager claims she would have had to pay out of her pocket if she honored. I felt bad for her. It's always been great food, but the same waiter that lied to me tonight, has always treated us extremely poorly. Rude, even. Their younger servers are super nice.
