Short story: Dr. Amir Hosseini and his staff are a godsend and I am so grateful to have found this place. If you are looking for a smart, skilled, personable, orthodontist and team who has your best interests at heart and who can give you the results you're looking for: Look no further than San Leandro Braces and Dr. Hosseini. You (and your teeth!) will not be disappointed. I could not recommend them enough. Longer story: My wedding was planned for September and decided now was as good as a time as ever to get orthodontic work done (a small gap had been forming in my front and a had a few spacing issues in my side teeth) I looked at options like invisible braces and went to an appointment at Smile Direct Club where they quoted me for Invisalign-type braces, but I wanted a second opinion. I'd received Dr. Hosseini's information from my old dentist as he didn't focus on Orthodontia. I called SLB's office and had an appointment THAT SAME DAY to come in for a consult. I was warmly greeted by the staff when I arrived ,and as I sat down in the chair, I told Dr. Hosseini about my trip to Smile Direct Club that left me cold. He was sympathetic to people wanting to use these companies, but for true dental work to get the best precise results, an orthodontist was best as those companies do everything "online". After examining my teeth, he told me that, in his opinion, Traditional Braces, not Invisalign, we're his recommendation as I had some corrections that needed to be made that Invisalign could not fix. I flatly said no because, as mentioned earlier, I was getting married in five months, and I didn't want Braces in my engagement session photos. #Vain He sighed, very comically, and said, "Okay. We will give you what you want." But as I went through the process of getting molds of my teeth, he told me stories of his patients, patiently explained the pros and cons of Invisalign versus traditional Braces. Told me that if i trusted him, he could get my teeth to where they needed to by in time for my wedding. That using the alternative would take longer. What he said made sense. Plus, Invisalign was actually MORE expensive than traditional braces. Dr. H was coming at this from a purely helpful perspective. Legit, five minutes away from being done with the pre-Invisalign process, I changed my mind and decided to go with traditional braces. And they were able to get done the same day. He knew how sensitive I was to having the braces "show", and was present the entire process. I saw results with a couple of weeks. My gap closed almost immediately. My bite is now normal, and my smile looks so much better! For my engagement session photos, Dr. H helpfully took out the metal rods in my braces. And re-inserted then at the start of the following week. In my photos, you can barely even tell I have brackets on my teeth. (I've attached a photo below) I have two friends who have been on Invisalign for months and they said their biggest gripe was how slowly the process moved, and I thank Dr. H and his team for suggesting the best orthodontic plan for me that fit my wedding timeline. His staff does their best to fit you in the schedule and find times that work of you. And their waiting room has enough activities and toys to entertain even the most wily kids. And bonus: There is ALWAYS parking! read more

Look no further: Dr. Hosseini is the best!! Having shepherded my two children through braces, I was very experienced when I took my grandson to San Leandro braces. We were thrilled that Dr. Hosseini was able to correct his teeth without surgery, which another orthodontist was recommending. After a year, his teeth are beautiful, correcting a crossbite and crooked teeth. Dr. Hosseini is thoughtful, tries to take the least intrusive plan where possible, and explains what he is doing. read more

Treated horribly with blatant disrespect and lack of integrity. Even played both sides against the middle with my ex spouse and got involved in our divorce proceedings! Inaccurate accounting and lack of accountability. Not worth the hassle and demeaning treatment played to save some money compared to other offices in the area. Dr Seyed Amir Hosseini didnt respond to the BBB complaint. What does he have to hide? He is currently being investigated by several agencies regarding ledgers with fraudulent cash payments and abandonment of treatment (refused to remove my daughters braces with multiple avoidance tactics during 3 separate appointments- her treatment was done last Fall). When my lawyer sent him a letter, he sent back a completly unprofessional response. DONT GET MIXED UP WITH THIS UNETHICAL MAN AND HIS FINANCIAL SCAMS. Its not worth it. Both my daughters have been coming here for year and have had braces . Dr is so gentle and makes them feel comfortable . Their teeth look so good and was done in short of time as possible . I had three different consultation with three different orthodontist, one in the city and two in East Bay per recommendation I got from my general dentist and friends. All three recommended surgery for my facial deviation and the severe bite problem that I had been dealing with for years affecting me in all aspect of life. Fortunately, and very accidentally ran into a current patient of Dr. Hosseini while Waiting in the line in Best Buy. He highly recommended me to at least have my free consultation with him. Dr. Housseini is an awesome Orthodontist. I've always wanted braces and found this establishment through Yelp. At 50 I got my first set of braces ( original ) and I have been so pleased and satisfied with the work I've received on my teeth at San Leandro Braces by Doc, whom is a wonderful human being. I've had my braces on for over a year and every visit has been a pleasurable experience. I was able to notice the difference within 3 months. His staff is very nice, friendly and professional. Emergency appointment. It was after hours and I was eating an egg roll and broke off my fixed retainer that had been keeping a huge gap in my front teeth closed. I called Dr. H answered and was so kind and understanding. I booked an appt for the next day. He replaced my retainer and my anxiety levels regarding that gap returned decreased significantly. He also was so helpful with information regarding how my teeth were stable enough that the gap wasn't going to magically open overnight lol. In addition he shared that he would be able to close a gap that the general dentist said would need an implant or braces to create room for an implant. I was treated here for 2 years and i couldnt be any happier. I was a class 3 with an underbite. Usually this requires teeth removal or surgery but I didnt need any! My bite is now normal and my teeth are completely straight. No other orthodontist office wanted to take my case but Dr. Hosseini took matters into his hands. He also tried and tell me I need to pay 4K, because my insurance wouldn't pay for nothing. Then when I called my insurance they confirmed what I tried to tell him. If you go here get a second opinion! Literally the worst experience of my human life. To me, how can you treat people like that when you are here to serve. Like others mentioned, the service here is professional, kind and efficient. I went in for a consultation and Dr. Hosseini was very straight to the point, but informative. My consultation only lasted about 15-20 minutes, I would say. The front desk receptionist, Jasmine, provided me with a payment plan before I left, which was very helpful. I wanted to look over the plan before making any decisions and they were not pushy at all. I decided to give it a shot and make my official appointment to get my braces on. Great experience since the beginning of my treatment. I was looking for an orthodontist to get the crowding in my bottom teeth fixed and had consultation with a few orthodontists (all were suggested by a dentist friend of mine), and Dr. Hosseini was the only one I could trust as he explained the treatment plan really well at the consultation and he was very friendly. Within a few months the crowding was all fixed with no tooth shaving or extraction. Dr. Hosseini recommended to keep wearing braces for a bit more to perfect the alignment. Long story short I had braces as a teen and did not follow instructions to wear my retainer. I never thought my teeth would actually "move" but boy was I wrong. I initially opted for "vanity" and chose to straighten my teeth by visiting my dentist to do Invisalign... that turned out to be a 2 1/2 year nightmare. In September 2019, I visited San Leandro Braces for a consultation and walked out a few hours later with braces. It was an impulsive decision for me but I was motivated to have a perfect smile. The receptionist, Jasmine, is great. She is very friendly and informed me about all of the payment options. They offer monthly financing and even a small discount for paying in full. I am very impressed by Dr. Hosseini. He is a perfectionist and his level of precision for detailing your teeth is remarkable. During my process with Invisalign they shaved enamel from my teeth which actually changed the composition/shape of my teeth. Dr. Hosseini reassured me that I will have a perfect smile and estimated I'd only need to wear braces for 6-9 months, So here we are and my smile is perfect! At Dr. Hosseini's advice we are giving some time for my teeth to really settle in and hope to remove my braces in June.. keeping my fingers crossed all of the shelter in place guidelines are lifted. I got my braces off last month & I'm in love with my smile!! I suffered for about 3-5 years because my wisdom tooth was impacted & no dentist wanted to remove it just because I have cerebral palsy. Picking an orthodontist seemed like a daunting task. I did my research online, reading countless reviews and considering locations that were most convenient. San Leandro Braces was my first visit and I didn't look further. I live in Oakland, but the 15 minute drive was well worth it for the smoothness of the entire process. In the 7 months I've been taking my son here, I have never had trouble making an appointment, parking is a breeze and the staff has been nothing but polite. My son is always worried that his visits are going to take a long time, but we are usually in and out in 15 minutes! Dr. Hosseini explained my son't treatment, keeping me posted on progress along the way. My daughter has had 2 sets of braces and was treated by different orthodontists. She continued to have problems with molars that were stuck sideways and not erupting from the gums. I obtained opinions from 2 other orthodontists, 2 oral surgeons and a dentist. All of them told me that we needed to have said molars removed and get implants. Dr Hosseini who recently purchased the practice wanted to save her teeth. He was able to upright her teeth with an appliance and biweekly adjustments.
