Wow! French Toast was well presented
    Tia M.

Great service. Yummy breakfast. Pretty restaurant. It's like we get to be back in Mexico for a moment. They have a bakery, it's not items we eat but they are very popular. Plenty of seating. Indoor and outdoor. Hubby gets something different every time. He got an omelet this time. $17.46 I get chilaquiles verde with scrambled egg $17.46 and flour tortillas $7.16 for 3. Ouch. I make mini burritos with them. Prices have increased again. That's why we rarely eat here now. It's just gotten way too expensive. Daughter got French toast. Was presented well. With cut pieces of strawberries and whipped cream. But again the price, ouch. $14.16 Tamarindo I'm told is fresh $5.10 OJ not fresh, is from a bottle $5.30 Hot chocolate $5.41 Right at $90 for breakfast... it's a nice treat but must be a rare one.

Soooo disappointed in how my single cupcake was transported! It was placed in a nice box only to drive home and found it on its side. Ruined gift! I suggest they package better to protect the artwork cause what a heartbreak. Guess I have to eat it, but found someone else to package a nice gift for my friend! Their pastries are good and nice bread!

We shared each order so the photo is kind of messy

I was looking for an authentic Mexican food when we visited Carlsbad. This place was suggested by one of the staff in the Mission Del Rey. The servings were huge but the tastes lack the mex food authenticity. We ordered Chicken tacos combo and the Friday special which is a the Beef Milanese sandwich combo( i think). The Friday Special taste like it was fried in old oil. I usually ask the servers for their favorite but this time I ordered what's advertised on their special menu. The service is great and place is clean and there are lots of nice paintings on the wall.

Great food service ambience all the checks. Came from vista, 15 min drive but worth it. The flavors are real.

Came by to order a birthday cake. I'll review that experience once we get the cake. Ordering was easy and they worked with what I was requesting. I needed a small birthday cake with a paw patrol image. I don't pick it up for a few days but will update review. We did get some cookies and pastries. So far everything has tasted great. Didn't try the restaurant.

This is my fourth time here, I make this a must stop between L.A. to San Diego to enjoy a very good bowl of menudo. I also enjoy having cafe de olla with the sweet bread from their bakery. The staff if very attentive to make sure we enjoy our meal. You can also visit San Luis Rey Mission right next door. On Saturday mornings you also get live music on occasions.

Easy going atmosphere. Great local Mexican restaurant !! The tamales are yummy!! Red or green, they are good ! It is a family owned restaurant. The tamales are ready to be ordered for the holidays!!!

    My receipt

Check your receipts *****Pastries and coffee were really good. Food was ok we didn't finish our plates. However when I received the check I thought it was a bit high for 2 adult meals and one kids meal it was $64. I questioned the cashier and she looked at the receipt but she said it was right. When I went to the car and I added in the calculator and it did not add up. I went back inside and realized they tried adding an extra meal like the one I got but in a very sneaky way. Instead of it being an added item on the receipt it was on the left which seemed like it was the fries that I was paying more for. Will not be coming back !!!!

    Huevos Rancheros was delicious!

Great service and wonderful food! The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. Will be returning to this fine establishment! Currently visiting California but this will be marked as my favorite spot!

Ended up waiting about 30 minutes and ended up sitting at the counter for a party of three. On the weekends, the counters are still part of being seated by the host. We decided to try the gluten-free pancakes with a side of eggs. All the food tasted delicious. In fact, all the food that we saw walking out of the kitchen looked incredible as well. Hoping to go back to try the different dishes, especially the biscuits, which obviously are not gluten-free. Poor husband, he'll just have to watch us eat the yummy biscuits!

She was right! I got the Stratford Scramble and a mocha latte with oat milk. The scramble was a HUGE portion and delicious. Did it completely wow me? No, but I definitely enjoyed it! The mocha latte was SO good. Nuzz got the Chilaquiles Jalisco and his first ever nitro cold brew. He loved both! The chilaquiles weren't too spicy, and he said the nitro was different from any cold brew he's had before and almost creamy. But the COFFEE CAKE!! When they asked if we wanted toast or coffee cake, we both chose coffee cake and thank goodness we did Soft, sweet, icing drizzled on top and SO good. That is something I would 100% come back for! Beautiful location, friendly service, good breakfast and great coffee. Such a relaxing way to start the morning. We'd definitely come back! And next time, coffee cake again. No question.

The fountain drinks, coffee, and tea are self-serve, which makes everything simple and convenient. Our visit was great! I ordered the chilaquiles, and they were delicious--flavorful but not spicy. My kids ordered chicken and fries, while my daughter got a hamburger, which she really enjoyed. Another thing I liked is that since you pay when you order, once you're finished eating, you can simply leave without having to wait for the check. I also want to give a special thank you to Tiffany, the manager. I accidentally forgot my wallet, and thankfully someone turned it in. I drop a few miles east of the freeway but was finding nothing. As I was driving, I randomly spotted two dudes sitting and eating at the side of a tire shop, at least that's what it looked like at first. Looking closer, I see the sign, "Come On Over Cafe". I thought, I just might! Pulled over and pulled up the internet and man, this could work out. As I found the place, it was next to a tire shop but it's it own deal. The menu looked great, but I was HUNGRY. 2 items stood out to my taste buds, either the Tuna Melt or the Italian sandwich. I asked the guy at the counter for his recommendation and he (and the lady) both offered their input. I pulled the trigger on the Italian, hot style. When I say that this sandwich slapped, I mean, it hit on at least 5 levels. Every sauce, ingredient, combination was 10/10. The bun was great, the meat was great, the sauces, I mean, I was blown away. I absolutely want to come back hear for a breakfast item. This was an absolute gem of a find.
