    I moved in for my freshman year with 4 other girls in there Ledbetter apartment. We have had…read moremultiple sicknesses from black mold exposure, along with sewage filling out sinks and overflowing our shower into our room and completely soaked our clothes and carpet. They only sent a team to clean the sewage for free but took 3 weeks to send someone to fix the overflowing shower and sink problem. On top of that the insane amount of black mold exposure constantly makes us break out and get sick. Management is nice enough but takes a long time to help you, and some people in the office will just be completely bothered by you and not care at all to help. We also started getting multiple charges after 3 months of moving in claiming we go over our electricity limit, even though we go out of our way not too and have since stopped using the AC we bought for the apartment (BC IT DOESNT COME WITH AIR-CONDITIONING!!), and if you use the heater you'll get charged no question. I also just had 2 expensive blankets get melted in there dryers with it set on the lowest setting and they said there's nothing they can do, shocker! St.George is not the WORST rent management, but Beach City was definitely not the place to live. Especially for 1,500$ a month to share a room and bathroom. I would consider other living arrangements before committing to beach city this year, but good luck!!

There are drug deals going on in the parking lot, sketchy neighbors, and mold everywhere. My daughter has all the symptoms of exposure to black old and it is because of YOU beach city and St. George. No matter how much you clean the apartment, it will still be dirty. The floors will never be sanitary. If you can't walk around barefoot in your own apartment, then I think there is bigger issues. They are constantly spending money on fixing other unneeded things around the property when they should focus on deep cleaning and having a mold inspector come out. It is seriously like living in filth. It has gotten to the point where my daughter feels unsafe in the complex and the staff will do nothing about it. Oh, and never order anything here either because it will be stolen by the time it arrives at your door and the staff will let it slide under the rug. Another big issue is Christopher. He is a creep and weird towards the girl residents that live there. I have heard odd things about him and all of the shady things that him and his staff are pulling behind the scenes. Be aware they are willing to scam you for anything. And the parking lot, don't even get me started. There are absolutely no spots and they put in speed bumps that are already damaging my daughters car. Beach city better be prepared once I have to take her car in the shop for this, because I will be having a word with you scammers. They also fail to inform the parents that are paying for this that there are break ins. DO NOT waste your money and go somewhere else where you will get your moneys worth. There is also grown men that are probably about 40 years old living on the property when it is supposed to be student housing. Weird. Totally unsafe and makes the younger students feel uncomfortable. I also had found out that there was a death on the complex? Not sure what that was about but very strange how everything is swept under the rug. And don't get fooled of all of the good reviews, it's either the staff or people to get points for something. And to the staff, I don't care that I am unfolding the truth, it must be told before you guys are going to scam more poor innocent people. You have caused enough damage of trauma for my daughter that she never wants to return back to Santa Barbara after this.

I…read morestopped by Cox on Los Positas in Santa Barbara to get a new Box because my clock readout is faded, discuss internet speed, and my ENOURMOUS bill. This arrogantly RuDe person at Cox Juan did Zero for me. He tried to bump my bill for faster Internet and a higher data cap saying I exceeded my data cap(which happened once). I said I was considering Frontier and dropping them(Cox), and he rudely ignored the topic. I said you're not hearing me. I'm going to cancel my 30-plus-year account if I don't get my bill lowered. It's all over the internet, Reddit, etc., that Cox will lower the bill if considering moving service. He said I hear you, and said he could do nothing. I angrily told him he was being rude and wasn't hearing me, and he just chuckled. I said I'm dropping Cox and get ready for a review with you included. The arrogant Juan said, "That's fine. Have a nice day." I went across the street to Alan Gold's Santa Barbara Auto Sounds and signed a Frontier contract with install scheduled in a week. 10 times faster TRUE Fiber Optic Internet Speed(not Hybrid Fiber Cox sells)with No Data Cap and True 4K Streaming DirecTv with more channels for HALF the Cox $350.00PLUS monthly bill. I emailed help.cox@cox.com and received an auto-generated response saying they would refer my complaint to local store, which means absolutely nothing if the Corporate high above dismisses my concern. Believe me I know many many people,even besides my close neighbors as they will all ask when they see a Frontier truck at my house installing and all in my Fellowship and Club. All I wanted was to be politely and be genuinely heard, Newer equipment and a lower bill. Juan never took the time to review my bill and service contract to perhaps provide a better service structure to lower my bill. Instead, he tried to bump me on Internet service and for me to get their Cellular Service. I said I needed a new Box and he never offered to replace mine at anytime and before I left. This isn't the first bad experience I have had with Cox that doesn't lie entirely on Juan's shoulders, but the final straw after decades of a $350.00 plus dollar bill and service issues. Game Over Cox. Frontier, Starlink and other providers are taking over.

Within a year they said that the…read morerouter would need to be upgraded and provided a new router that included a modem...so a waste of $150...I used that system for another 2 years until Frontier Fiber became available in my area. When I told them that I was switching, they offered to lower my monthly fee to $50 to match the monthly that Frontier was offering. After a couple of months, I got in touch with Alan Gold, and I'm glad I did...optical has been great and no more buffering and re-setting the Cox router. To be fair, Cox did provide decent service for 20 years.

During an…read moreinspection for a tenant who was moving out, a property manager told me to line through a legal document to adjust the date. When I refused and asked for a new copy of the document with the correct information, he looked me in the eyes and asked "why do I have to do it?" I responded with "because its your job?" to which he rolled his eyes, clenched his jaw and asked his partner to write a new document with the correct date. The receptionist at the office is extremely rude and disrespectful. I have called and asked her to transfer me to specific departments or to please keep me in the loop about issues at our property and she deliberately ignores my requests. I called to ask our maintenance requests to be sent to only tenants at the property and she informed me that was not possible. When I asked to suspend text and to only communicate via phone call she said protocol did not allow it. She said maintenance department would be in charge so I asked to speak to them and she gave a huff and said okay. She then proceeded to hang up. I attempted to call back and my calls were not being answered. Finally, my call was answered and I asked who I was speaking to and she simply stated "Wolfe and Associates". I explained that I would like to be transferred instead of being hung up on. She states she did transfer me and I simply stated that it must have been a mistake and the call dropped. She said she would be transferring me now. I proceeded to wait while I could still hear the same background noise, after a couple of seconds I said "Hello?" At that point, I heard the phone being set on the desk. For about 2 minutes, I could just hear people chatting in the office as I was not being transferred. I hung up, called again and was immediately answered by the maintenance department. That department was very kind and provided me with direct lines to departments in order to actually get to the people who will hear my concerns. Bottom line, the "customer service" from the people who interact with tenants the most is HORRIBLE. The maintenance team is very great to work with but unfortunately must go through the "customer service" team. If you are faced with this agency and another, please choose the other company. These people only respond when they feel like it. I gave them two stars simply for the maintenance department.

There is no worse property management company. Avoid at cost. They are horrible to deal with. Three kids at ucsb. Never incountered a worse company to deal with. They need to be added to the ucsb housing list of avoid at all cost. When I suggested to their manager that I hoped karma paid them a visit, they said I threatened them. Honestly, if wishing karma pay them a visit was an act of threatening their company, then it sort of points to their own fear, guilt over their egregious practices.

    We have a maple Scandinavian dining room set my parents gave us as a wedding present. When the kids…read morewere little years back, the original seat fabric got all stained and nasty with milk, etc. We went to an undisclosed interior design place and replaced the fabric with marine grade vinyl and thick padding. The result was horrendous. The vinyl was tucked, unprofessionally with big seams/creases at the corners, like a do it yourself job. We didn't care at the time - as long as it held up for the next 10 years, we were good. Come 2020 and that vinyl is getting annoying. Our butts stick to them, the chairs noticeably look bad relative to the rest of our furnishing, and most importantly, the kids aren't leaving have half their food on the seats. Santa Barbara Design Center has been here for a while and I stopped in randomly on the way to Home Improvement. I was introduced to Michael, a knowledgeable and personable chap. I showed him an online picture of the original chair, and that I wanted to restore the seat to its original, sleek, sculptural and refined splendor. He said no problem, provided a couple of premium quality fabric books, and we were on our way. We picked out the fabric and brought the chairs in. Michael commented "my god, who did this work?" 50% down and ten days later, chairs were done, with a message "come down and make sure you are happy." My wife and I looked, were pleased - Michael responded with "here's something that bothers me, I want you to see..." He flipped the chair over and on the bottom, the seat fabric was stapled just outside of the underside frame. You wouldn't see it normally, but from a distance or looking down from the side, you might. Immediately we thought the same thing, yeah, that's not ideal. He said it shouldn't be done like this, let me redo it for you, no charge. His upholsterer redid it, and boy those 8 chairs look great, almost better than the original! The seats came out sleek and wonderfully curved over the underlying pad. The fabric is comfortable, soft and elegant - couldn't be happier. The interior of SBDC fills a warehouse space and contains just about everything; furniture, rugs, lamps, etc. The staff were COVID compliant, and Michael was a dream to work with. He has an excellent eye for detail, is easy to work with, and is an honest broker; I wish we had more projects for him!

David Kourosh and all the staff were so helpful and we have had the best after sales service ever! We had a slight issue with an item some time after purchasing and Grace has been incredible in getting it sorted out seamlessly. It's not often to find such amazing service after the sale is completed. I highly recommend SBDC.
