Came to San Pedro square market during the World Cup and had a fun time, but we did wait in line to get in and parking was $20. We ate at Game Day and Anchor's fish and enjoyed the many options. We got matcha ice cream after at the 2nd building in the market. Overall super fun place to come with friends and everyone can order from the many restaurants if they have different food preferences or allergies.

Came to watch a World Cup futbol match in the afternoon. It was very family friendly. Lately the evening games have had a few incidents. So, as with any venue with lots of people, stay alert as to your surroundings.

San Pedro Square Market is a very cool place to go to for a wide variety of food, dessert, alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks, and live music. Some food options are... Pizza Bocca Lupe Anchors Fish & Chips Phenomenal Noodle House Urban Momo Pasta Fresca It is a popular place so finding seating "could" be an issue depending how big your group is. If you have 2-4 people, then it is much easier in general. Metered street parking and parking garages are nearby. Check them out. You will find something to satisfy your appetite.

A friend recommended I stop by here before a San Jose Sharks game. It was my first hockey game so this whole experience was a new one for me. Parking is $10 in a nearby garage (a popular parking place for an event at SAP center). This market was huge and had so many restaurants. Anything from desserts to drinks and all types of food. Because we were there before a game and it was a Saturday, there were so many people there. One area seemed to be more popular than the other building (where there was a bar). There was also an outdoor area with a live band playing. Food here isn't the best you can find in the city, it just does the job in a pinch. It's a popular place to hang out as well especially for families. Pros: parking is affordable and there's plenty of options for food and drinks. I like the variety there is available. There's something for everyone. Cons: there was plenty of seating but because the sheer amount of people, seating was hard to find.

Food hall Garage parking , Metered parking & Public parking with a fee . Indoor / outdoor dining options. Some of the restaurants here . On a Roll Vietnamese , I'd cafe Indian food , pubs, pizzeria , Anchors seafood , Gemellos Gallery , hand painted art gallery , old spaghetti factory. I can see this would be a great place to mingle with friends / families during nice weather. When I was here it was so cold so we didn't have a chance to sit out to people watch . Check out their webpage to find some future events .

Can't recall the last time I came here... possibly 12 years ago!! It has changed so much, it's bigger and more seatings available. There's security guards everywhere. My friend said they are strict with outside drinks (even water bottle containers). Bars have water stations. Lots of options to choose from. I love the bars and that you can take your drink outside. Too bad it was raining off and on, so we moved to a table inside. Great for large meet ups! We got food from the pizza place and the tacos. Along with the many bars. Good for kids in the daytime. I know at night it gets crowded and rowdy. Pre drinkers come here then to the club, or that was at least in 2008, lol. Parking was under construction but I think 2 hours were free then you pay every half hour. Street parking was better if you constantly go out to update it if over your time limit.

I absolutely love San Pedro Square Marketplace. The energy, the layout, the food options... Everything is great. It works incredibly well for groups and gatherings because people can wander and grab whatever food sounds good to them and then regroup outside to talk and enjoy the atmosphere and each other's company. There's an impressive variety of vendors. I was hoping to grab a tea at Urban Ritual on my last visit but I was sad to see that they are no longer here. They will be missed but there are still lots of choices so that nobody feels like their options are limited. The outdoor space is great with plenty of seating and it's kept clean. There are sunny spots and shady spots and busier areas great for people watching and calmer areas tucked away for quiet contemplation. It's like a community gathering space and a food hall all-in-one. It's also really dog friendly, outside anyway. I always have my dog with me and it takes the stress away to go somewhere where I know she will be welcome and comfortable. If you need to run inside to order food or use the restroom you can have someone watch your pup but there are also some restrooms outside too if you needed to bring your fur baby with you. Great food options, great atmosphere and one of the better communal spaces I've come across. I definitely recommend I stop here.

The San Pedro Market had a lot of good food selections. This place was clean and inviting and the outdoor eating area is gorgeous. Great place to come with family and friends. Definitely good vibes! This place was like an international mixing pot. It had Vietnamese food, Japanese food, Mexican food, pizza, burgers, fish and chips, mochi donuts, and a few bars for the adults. Right in Downtown San Jose, this place was poppin!

San Pedro Market is a fun spot to grab dinner and drinks with friends. On a Friday night, the line for the parking garage was insane; I think my friends spent 30 minutes trying to get into the garage and park. I'm glad I was getting dropped off and didn't have do deal with it. If you're coming at a crowded time, I would recommend parking on the street a couple blocks away instead. I saw a couple spots available as we were driving up. The market itself was popping on Friday night, with long lines at a lot of spots. It was my first time here, so first I walked around first to familiarize myself with the options and get a sense of the selection. There are two buildings, so make sure you check out both. The other building felt much quieter and more like a food court, but there was a good amount of seating across both buildings. I chose to get some fried seafood at Anchors as there was no line there and I was starving, so fried seafood and chowder sounded amazing. Got one of the platters with fried fish, shrimp, and scallops from Anchor and it really hit the spot. Only the fries were meh. I expected them to be more flavorful given that they're seasoned, but they weren't. I would also skip the clam chowder next time, as it was some of the blandest clam chowder I've ever had. I loved the vibes here. There was everyone from couples to big groups of friends and everyone looked like they were having a good time.

Live music and a DJ mixing beats til 9pm on most nights!! San Pedro Square Market is the place to be on any given day/evening! With multiple large screen TV's inside and out broadcasting live major sports games you'll always be updated on the latest score. There are outdoor heaters on the patio for chilly evenings. For those with curious appetites there are many food vendors that serve a wide variety of cuisines ike Nepalese, Vietnamese, Mexican, Indian, American, Italian, Japanese, Korean etc. In addition, there are three bars that serve local craft beers on tap as well strong mixed drinks. Bring your appetite, your family, and your energy because this social scene is giving good juju.

San Pedro Square Market has a few food vendors including the bar. It was many people when I got there and is hot here as well. It sits right next to its parking garage where patrons can come by here to eat. It's a very nice area where you can dine and hangout. They even have a stage where performers can sing in front of the audience. It seems that many people come to Downtown SJ for this location, because while I was walking around, there's not that many people until I came to this market. They even have a water dispenser so that you don't have to ask for water from any food vendor.

Avoid this place at all cost. Especially during the World Cup. They can not handle a watch party. Their drinks are over priced.

Do the bands play outside tonight 12/4 Unamaz 6p-9p?

Hi Brenda, this is weather-dependent, but we do anticipate UnaMaz playing outdoors at our Plaza Stage tonight. Thanks!

    Is it dog friendly?

If you have someone that can wait in the outdoor area with your dog while someone goes inside to grab food and drinks, yes. I've always seen a lot of dogs in the main outdoor areas, but I don't think they're allowed inside the stalls.

What days do they have live music?

Will you be showing the Mexico vs USA game tomorrow?

Yes, be sure to come early as this will be a popular match.

Who do I contact about renting out the space for a private party? I don't see any information on the website.

Call the phone # provided with San Jose chamber of commerce, downtown SJ, they will help you , or visit the concierge office there in person.

Is there any live music tonight, Friday night 6/11?

Not tonight, but we do have live music Wednesdays and Thursdays.

For the Thursday evening concerts (which we're attending tonight!), can people bring their own chairs for seating, or do they prefer we use the seating provided by San Pedro Square?

Is there WiFi in the open courtyard outside?

    Yes

    Are there vegan options?

I've no doubt many of the places can fix vegan food. Just ask. We toured and got cookies, which were awesome, but the ones we got were NOT vegan. However, they might have had vegan cookies as well, but I don't remember.

Is it open tonight on New Year's Eve? Or any special event/bar it has open?

Unfortunately not, the Market will be closed at 6pm and re-open for business on morning of the second.

Is the market open tonight on Xmas (Dec 25) for dinner?

Greetings Anu B, Unfortunately the entire San Pedro Square Market is closed Christmas day. We will re-open on Thursday 12/26/2019 at 11am. Happy holidays

    Is it busy on Sundays?

Yes! It gets busy after 11

Do they have a live band on Sundays?

    Yes! Sometimes

Anyone know if San Pedro square is going to be showing the ufc fight or pacquio fight to tonight?

I'm a fan of the space because the acoustics are always just right, and the lighting is vibrantly cozy. There is no bad seat in the house, and I can always find a place to slink into the back drop of events, even though it's hard to show up here and not engage in some friendly conversation with the regulars. It's the way my artist friends rave about this place that also makes me recommend it to anyone looking for a new venue to hear local music, or tell visiting artists about it. I feel confident that you are going to watch a quality show, have a good time, drink some REALLY good beer, and if you like tater tots, order The King Tut tots (they always hit for me). But in all seriousness, this is a venue that is more than just an establishment. So I'm curious if it also serves as a meeting place for community groups. I'd love to see this place used to really bring all walks of life together, not just those who are musically inclined, artistic, or a consumer of the two. Because there is something magical about the history behind SLG Art Boutiki & Gallery's inception, and the walls are full of tales that need to be told to keep its story alive in San Jose.
