My sister and I came to watch the opening match of the World Cup here and I was quite impressed with how many screens there were, how much seating is inside and the vibes were great. The food was ok, nothing to rave about but it did its job. The nachos I liked I just feel like a different cheese would have been better. The service was great and I would come back again for sure.

Best Sports Bar / Reasturant for all sporting events. There isn't a bad steat in the house!. Make sure to make a reservation in advance for all big sporting events. The Food is Great!!! We always get Nachos Birria Tacos Ceviche Pizza and Burgers.

Came here to watch UFC319 over the weekend cuz Rookies across the street wasn't streaming it that night. Pleasantly surprised how this became an option. No cover at the door, plenty of seating by the time the main card started at 7pm, and a very lively atmosphere. Servers were very active and friendly. Love how many TV's they had. Didn't love how the DJ played music for the whole card minus the main event. I get it --- it's a clubby bar first, not a sports bar. But hey, I'm tryna hear the commentary here, not house remixes of 2000s music. Plenty of food options, but we just stuck with loaded tots to snack alongside our drinks. They have fun sweet cocktails. The Blood In Blood Out was very tasty. Could be more stiff, but enjoyable. Weird how they were all out on 2 of 8 beer options. Take out the nasty IPAs and I'm only left with 4 basic options. Crowd was lively and chill. Everyone kinda kept to their own table. Didn't feel pressured to order a bunch more. Would stop by again but maybe for a less important fight card. 3/5

Had some friends in town so I brought them to my favorite Thursday night spot. We were able to catch happy hour. We ordered tacos, wings and of course their amazing nachos!! The drinks were good too. My friends loved the ambiance and the vibe and MLC did not disappoint!!

Such a vibe. Mas loco has great food, good drinks and an overall cool spot to hang with friends: it can get pretty loud and there's a dj/almost turns into a lounge the later it gets (security and all). Def worth a visit

Came here for mothers day lunch on Sunday and the restaurant wasn't as busy as expected but it was nice. Ambiance of they place is a club/ casual fun restaurant vibes they played great music had me dancing in my seat a little. Beautiful art and a great place to take pictures. Kid friendly during the day for sure. Service was amazing the waitress was sweet and made sure we had everything we needed and handled our big table perfectly. I had a michilada and it was delicious. The flautas had birria and was very tasty definitely will have again also had the loaded tots with asada and ooh man as an appetizer it's a meal on it own but still very tasty they're basically nachos but just with tater tots this appetizer is for sure shareable.

I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday, and had a blast! The food and drinks were delicious, and the DJ was playing plenty of R&B and Bay Area music. The nachos and guacamole were the same dish prepared 2 different ways, but still so yummy. The steak was grilled to perfection. The palomas were super yummy too, and served up with fresh grapefruit slices. Our server was checking in on us constantly, and service was quick. I'd highly recommend this spot for a fun brunch with friends; my only gripe was that it wasn't open for much later (they close at 3pm), but otherwise it was still a great spot!

Came here for date night with my husband and waited for our food for 50 minutes. Came on a Friday night for dinner and got sat immediately. It wasn't busy at all. Our server took some time getting to us. We ordered the guacamole with beef chicharron and the medium carne asada pizza and my husband got a tom collins to drink. The food was decent but $19 for some guac and charred steak bits seemed like a lot. The pizza was also good, with a fluffy crust but they forgot the guac. Food was decent but service was SLOW. We were told in advance when ordering the pizza that it usually takes about 20 minutes to make, no problem since we had the guac. Guac took 20 minutes to get out. After about 40 minutes of waiting and seeing other tables getting food our server told us she would check on our pizza, she went back and then started rushing everywhere. I believe she forgot to place our order. We waited for another 10 and finally got it, missing the guac. The menus are dirty, as seen in the photos, and the restrooms aren't the cleanest either. This is clearly a place you go just for drinks because they are clearly not capable of handling a kitchen(20 minutes for guac, 50 minutes for pizza, and 5 minutes for a drink.) What was meant to be a quick dinner turned into 2 hours. Over $60 for an app, pizza, and 1 drink.

This is definitely a great addition to downtown San Jose. I thought it would be difficult finding a place to park, but I parked right across the street. Walking in to the restaurant this place was very vibrant from the art on walls to all the lights I love it ! They have so many TV's this will definitely be a hot spot for sport ls watching. They have a DJ on the weekends we had a blast dancing after our dinner . It's a vibe and the ambience is key . The food was so good we ordered Jalapeño Poppers, Artichoke dip, and Tacos .I want to say that the tortillas were made in house because they tasted very fresh. The drinks were very delicious I tried a basil drink, and also the Painkiller . Another thing I really enjoyed that night everyone was very nice and attentive from the moment I got greeted at the door till the end of the night. Everyone was super nice. Overall we had a great time I can't wait to go back .

The avocado toast was recommended by our server but this was sooooo mid

Decided to stop by to try some food and drinks since this was a new spot. Was disappointed by the lack of flavor in the flautas and watered down michelada. But the asada pasta was decent and had a good amount of meat. Service was really slow. Atmosphere was lively and busy. Definitely seems like a place to stop by for quick bar drinks when bar hopping. Not sure if I would come back.

Brought a special someone here for her birthday and she loved It!! From the moment we walked in they accommodated us perfectly. Didn't like our first seating option so they moved us to a more comfortable table and that made us feel great! The Food, the drinks, and desert were extremely satisfying. We ordered the salmon, carne asada, burger, and pizza lol. The environment is amazing! TV screens all over the place, beautiful art all around, music playing throughout the restaurant. Looks like it gets better at night!

Alter Ego is a proper intimate lounge with their full bar, and it feels like a world away from the street outside. The transition between the two spaces is surprisingly seamless and genuinely fun to experience. And they're open late, which puts them in a rare category of places actually worth staying out for. Parking is what you'd expect for downtown - either paid street parking or a nearby garage. The atmosphere is stylish and upscale, making it a great spot for a special night out. The mussels were definitely the standout - the sauce was so flavorful and unforgettable that we were tempted to ask for extra bread just to soak it all up. We also really enjoyed the cocktails. To top it all off, we were surprised with complimentary caviar cones from the restaurant, which was such a nice touch. Not my personal cup of tea, but they do also offer sake and a few beers also. The first time we went, we ordered the arancini, bucatini, and the heritage pork katsu. I am a big advocate for trying new things every time I go to a restaurant, but it was so good I ordered the same thing the second time I went. Arancini is flavored with Japanese curry with creamy fontina in the center topped off with kimchi mayo. Holy f. These quite literally put the traditional Italian ones to shame (sorry not sorry). Next was the bucatini. It had tom yum butter, lime, basil- all the fix ins of what you want from tom yum flavors with the luxuriousness added from the butter. It was sinful. Last and certainly not least, is the pork katsu. I cannot even remember the last time I ordered a pork katsu, but something told me to order it. Thank God I did, as it quite literally changed my life. If they ever take it off the menu I am not sure I would be OK. It is crispy and is swimming in this koji butter, but the key is that it is NOT greasy. I quite literally think about it all the time. To the point where I had it twice in a week. Service was great, bartenders are so friendly. The place is cute and vibrant. Keep in mind it is small- limited seating inside and a small patio outside. But so worth the wait. Ambiance 5 Wine 5…read more Service 5 Food 5 So why the 4 rating... TBH there's a good chance that I'll adjust it soon, but if I could give a 4.5 I would. First the knock, and to be fair, it's probably just an opinion / idea. Given the birth of natural wine and the South Bay, it would be wonderful to see a curated selection of tasting flights, no more than two or three options with anywhere from 3 to 6 wine wines each, priced accordingly. Maintaining a proper wine menu when all you do is natural wine can certainly be a challenge. If you wine flights depending on what you have would certainly elevate the customer experience by educating more people natural wine and helping them make better choices when it comes to a bottle purchase. I paid $61 for a bottle that was recommended, and at that price point I wonder how many people who are new to natural wine might be turned off. Chris was a wonderful host and certainly the right person to engage with customers around their various wines. Given how small the space is and how busy it can get, a weekly tasting flight menu might be a good way to engage those customers who are waiting to order at the bar and perhaps even spark a more productive conversation with Chris. We ordered the peach and ricotta dish with Thai basil... wow, a wonderful surprise. Peaches are always battling in and out of the top spot on my summer fruit list and this combination was downright dirty and delicious! We also ordered the raw oysters with watermelon mignonette. Another wow! I didn't expect the little spice kick and it was a perfect pairing to the sweetness of the watermelon. If anyone knows the recipe let me know, I'd bottle that mignonette and take it with me wherever I have oysters!! Overall, a great experience and I most definitely look forward to going back!
