One of my favorite auction houses. Great pieces, knowledgeable and friendly staff - doesn't get better.

Martin and Valetta are the best!…read more My wife and I miss them and their biz, which we call, "The Candy Store". I am responding to the recent one star reviews. Fine Estate Sales will do their best to sell your product, or items in your estate. It is your decision to set a special price for an item, or, let their experts set the price. If you are not happy with this business, then let them know and negotiate. Be a business person and DEAL WITH the problem with the source. Deal with it as a business owner, instead of writing a long boring novel that lost my attention after merely looking at the size of the review. Everyone needs to understand, Fine Estate Sales, or any similar company, is not Macy's, Nordstroms, Nieman Marcus or Louis Vuitton, etc. So unless you set a price, or negotiate a contract before signing or amend the contract, there lies an agreement, hand shake, i.e. a contract. I understand you may not be happy, however, as I mentioned above, deal with it, and work with Martin and Valetta. They are here to make money for you and them. Thank you for everything Martin and Valetta, and miss The Candy Store.

If you like women's vintage clothes and shoes and purses this is a good place to look. They have a lot of jewelry and furniture and paintings as well. As all these things are, it is hit or miss but over the years I have made some good scores here.

He was annoyed that the Novato location had closed and that this new site was a mere shadow of that. I perked up my ears; until that moment I'd assumed that this new San Rafael spot was a second outpost of Marin MOCA. It is not. As much as I generally appreciate contemporary art I have to say that the new Marin MOCA leaves a lot to be desired. It 's one large room with a few small rooms and it currently features an exhibit on - maybe - water. There's no signage to tell you what you're seeing but a booklet has been prepared to page through to learn more about the installations. The booklet may as well have been written in a foreign language as it was in no particular order, one had to repeatedly flip through its pages to find something that looked to be what one was standing in front of, the explanations were incomprehensibly long, and of one piece that I could not find a write-up on it was explained to me that "the artist changed the piece she decided to display after the booklet was made". Can we please just go back to some simple plaques beside the artworks that describe the works in language that is comprehensible? The current installation features some interesting components but honestly, one shouldn't have to work so hard to comprehend them. I wish only continual improvements to Marin MOCA in their new digs. I'd like them to stick around but I'd also like them to improve their offering.

Then took all of our finished and unfinished products with invoices and threw them in a dumpster. And on the same day went into an area which wasnt supposed to be touched (as i verified this with all 3 of his employees that there was personal stuff that belonged to myself that had nothing to do with the auction. I had two of my dirtbikes we were rebuilding there. One of which was my sons race bike. I told the guys multiple times that the bikes and bike parts were mine and yet all of my parts that were new in bags and all my specialty tools to fix the bike also with the parts all dissappeared. Unfortunately i wasnt there when they took the first dumpster (one big enough to park a f350 inside of but i did catch the second one as he was leaving and he told me the company who ordered the dumpsters was acting funny. Was adamit that they went and got it right then. And said when he got to the recycler he was told just to go drop the box and not to weigh it. Unfortunately for me they had already recycled the first dumpster by the time i got there. But i was able to catch the second one. After 3 days of digging i was able to find my kick starter and side cover but the rest was gone. So not only did our company loose over 500k in finished product i also lost over 1500 in parts and over 300 in specialty tools. It just made me sick to my stomach. And when i questioned ashman they said it was protocol to go in and throw away all your stock and inventory and take dirty scrap prices for it. 4k for nearly 700k doesnt sound like a fair deal to me. I took pictures of what got thrown away. Mind you the first dumpster which was 3/4 of the way full was already recycled. So these are images of the second dumpster. Sad is all I can Say
