The man, the myth, the San Vicente Legend!

I have a love hate relationship with this course! Great old school track, beautiful surroundings and brutal greens. Fast, lots of break. The folks that work here are second to none. All super genuine and nice. If they can help with something, they will.

Stayed here for a 4th of July weekend. Nice little getaway at this golf resort during a golf tournament. The room is spacious, my room on the second floor has a high ceiling, and a balcony with chairs and table and with a view that oversees the golf course and mountains. It has a mini refrigerator and an single cup coffee machine. Places to visit around here is town of Julian and Barcelona Casino. Quiet secluded area away from the city life in the city of Ramona. Will definitely think about staying here again when in the area.

What a great place to stay! Options are limited in the area so family that lives in the area suggest San Vicente while we were visiting. San Vicente is clean, staff is friendly and the you can't beat the pricing for an overnight stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable but the real bonus for us was the patio. A very large patio that faces the hills and golf course was key to our enjoyment since we are smokers. Upon check in, we were given an envelope with coupons for the restaurant - $4 off. We didn't ever use them since we ate off site. One odd thing was that if using the pool, you can only be at the pool for one hour and then you must leave so they can sanitize. We never went to the pool so we don't know exactly how that worked. And we aren't golfers so can't rate the course. All in all, it was an ideal place for us to spend the night while in the area.

The golf course is in great condition. It's been a couple years since I played here last and after this visit I look forward to coming back again soon. The greens were rolling nice and the fairways were in amazing shape. Head Pro Matt Brumbaugh and his team in the pro shop are very friendly and provide great customer service. The carts have GPS and the snack bar has a nice selection. My group had lunch after our round and the restaurant has a nice selection of local craft beers and the menu has a variety of tasty options. I enjoyed the California Smash Burger with bacon and it was perfect! We will be back again soon!

We attended a wedding at the San Vicente Resort, so we booked a room for the night. We really enjoyed our stay and the room was more than adequate. Nothing too spectacular, but it was plenty large and clean. It featured a large mini-fridge which we used and a single cup coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and stocked. We liked the additional sink in the little "kitchenette" area between the room and the bathroom. The A/C was cold and quiet and the bed was comfortable. We loved the private balcony with a great view of the golf course. Checking in was a breeze and Terri at the check-in counter was very friendly and very accommodating. She even provided us with extra coffee pods and let us check in early so we could get ready for the wedding. Free parking! We would definitely consider San Vicente Resort again for a weekend staycation.

One of the guys that manages the golf course kicked us off the golf course by stealing our keys right from the ignition and yelled saying we were trespassing and to "get the hell out of here". There were NO signs anywhere around the golf course that says no trespassing. The gates all around the neighborhood are even open for golf carts. (As seen in PHOTO below). He was very old and very mean. We actually live here and we'll continue to be riding on the golf course :) If you're going to close the course, maybe remember to put up signs and close the entrances. Your employees suck

    Guacamole and chips

Well we were looking for a light meal and found this place close to our resort. It was really nice setting and quiet when we got there at 5 not so much at 6 when we left! We shared the chips and guacamole and we also got some Bourbon wings and bacon. I liked both!

    Bed bugs!!

This is by far the dirtiest hotel you could ever stay at. It's infested with bugs crawling everywhere, the bed bugs were the worst. We got bit everywhere and now I have to deal with possibly taking them home with me. If you care about your family, stay away from this place!

Our room was behind the latter

We have stayed here at least 3 other times and it was peaceful and quiet. We weren't informed during booking that the hotel is going through a remodel. Noisy electric sanding/drilling or something right outside our room that continued until 430pm. Woke us up at 730 with the same noise and very loud talking outside our room. Also main restaurant is closed. When I called to complain there was no apology or offer to switch our room away from the construction. Nice place to stay but wait until construction is complete.

Nice course that labels itself a resort. Don't really understand that but the management must think it justifies the over-priced green fees.

Best birthday stay ever!!…read more When I first arrived, I was nervous because I haven't booked a place this fancy before and used Chase Travel to book for the first time. The staff immediately put me at ease and made me feel welcome. Lorenzo greeted me at the front desk and said happy birthday. He also gave me some free drink vouchers to use at the hotel restaurants and upgraded my room! The room was so big and clean and relaxing. My boyfriend has really bad insomnia but he said he actually slept great! I let him sleep in while I explored the hotel cafe and lounged on the balcony. There was a few parties and events going on that day (June 25th) but we couldn't hear a thing, at all. Our suite had a huge soaker tub and a huge shower that came in clutch, they even have complimentary bath salts and all the soaps! If you want more, they sell nice stuff in the gift shop, too. We also went to the cafe for breakfast burritos and coffee and both were a great way to start our day. Highly recommend staying here for a celebration. I felt like royalty and would love to come back. Shout out to Lorenzo and the team!

I booked a staycation on a Sunday, which happened to fall on Father's Day, using my Amex Platinum…read more Overall it turned into one of my favorite staycations I've had. With the Platinum perks, early check-in and late checkout are often available, but because it was a busy holiday weekend, they couldn't guarantee early check-in. They suggested coming in early and waiting by the pool until a room was available. Parking was easy: self-parking was around $46 per night with valet adding $10 more (roughly $56 total). Self-parking is only a short walk from the entrance so it wasn't inconvenient at all. Check-in itself was quick. The front desk staff provided a property map, and once I got to the room and dropped off my things, the whole resort honestly felt like walking into an oasis. The grounds are beautifully maintained and genuinely stunning. The pool area was enjoyable, but very busy, especially over the weekend. A note for future guests: lounge chairs go fast. I went around 4:30 PM on Sunday and again around 2 PM on Monday and most chairs were already taken. We were able to snag some on Monday, and it helped that the umbrellas can be adjusted for more sun or shade. The pool had a lively feel with families and kids, all well-behaved and enjoying themselves. There's also a nice jacuzzi and a pool bar where you can order food and drinks, plus a solid selection of craft beer. Dinner at Mustangs & Burros was a highlight. The burger was excellent, and the guacamole is a must-order starter. I also used my $100 Amex hotel credit here, which was a plus. The room itself was cute and comfortable, though fairly simple. It had a shower rather than a bathtub. The mattress was on the firmer side for my taste, and I would have appreciated complimentary bottled water in the room, but it was easy enough to have some delivered via Uber Eats. Breakfast at Greenfinch was the most underwhelming part of the stay. The Amex Platinum breakfast benefit covered up to $60 for two, but the quality didn't quite match the rest of the property experience. On the plus side, the resort grounds are incredible. The butterfly sanctuary, botanical garden, and wishing tree add a peaceful, unique touch to the property. I did wish there was a clearer setup for the wishing tree notes, but it was still a charming feature. Overall, the stay was excellent. The service was consistently friendly and efficient, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the property itself is beautiful. Despite a couple of small drawbacks, I would absolutely return. This was an ideal San Diego staycation. One note for future guests: make sure to carefully check your final bill at checkout. I was accidentally double-charged for dinner, charged for valet despite using self-parking, and billed for breakfast. They initially said everything had been adjusted, but I later noticed I had paid for self-parking on my credit card and then again at checkout. One of the restaurant charges also wasn't removed. The staff member I spoke with was very friendly and quick to help resolve it, but it was still a bit frustrating to leave thinking everything was settled, only to have to take additional time afterward to correct the billing issues.

---Very rude and disrespectful unprofessional employees.--/…read moreOn April 12, around 8 pm, I was in the casino area. A woman won a huge jackpot and went to the restroom. I was sitting two seats away from her, and two casino attendants were standing nearby, waiting for her to return. Out of curiosity, I approached the attendants to see what was happening and asked, "How much did she win?" smiling. The Latina girl turned around with a dirty look, , and the other, with long black hair tied up, responded with a stern face, "We don't disclose the amount," rudely and disrespectfully. Does she know how to say politely, kindly, "Sorry, ma'am, we don't disclose the amount"? Politely with respect? I am a regular customer who has been coming here for years and spends a lot of money. Her rude attitude is not acceptable in this kind of business. This isn't about policy; it's about mannerisms toward customers, which are unprofessional and unacceptable! This is a place where people come to enjoy and be entertained. Her nasty attitude needs to be corrected and trained. I reported this issue to their manager, who seems to be a distinguished African gentleman with glasses, and I hope he takes this matter seriously, reports it to management, and corrects this kind of disrespect and rudeness in this casino.

From what I read, it was renovated in the 2010s and the rooms and public spaces (indoors) seem to reflect that. Rooms are attractive and large, the lobby area well-appointed with a historical air about it. However there is an underlying feel of decrepitude about the place. Indoor spaces seem to be the ones that received the renovation attention but the outdoor spaces seem old and neglected. Don't know if that's on purpose but the inside felt more welcoming than the inside. Staff was hardly seen so much so that when I tried to check out there was no one at the front desk to do so with. Amenities are few: cafe, spa, gift shop, bar and one restaurant. However the hours of operation are short for most of them. Service was somewhat poor: cafe ran out of espresso by 8 am, the ice machine was broken, no daily service to room (had to ask for fresh towels). Staff was practically non-existent (felt like a ghost town); professional but not overly friendly. Most guests seemed to spend the majority of their time at the pool (don't blame them, even in early June the heat was stifling). Around the hotel there is literally nothing to see and the area is pretty run down. Getting to anything mildly interesting (such as Julian) requires driving windy roads that take forever. Unless your thing is sitting, in hot weather, around a 1950s-looking pool, and your destination is somewhere near the hotel, I can't recommend this hotel. Pricing is fair but it was June. Wanted to really like this place more than I did.

Secondly the majority of everybody there is rude, inconsiderate, and indifferent. This includes the patrons and the employees. The straw that broke the camels back for me was that one of the ATMs ripped me off- it charged my bank the of amount money that I tried to withdrawal, and I never saw a dime of it. We got two rooms; one was comped and the other we paid for. The rooms were pretty expensive that day, which okay fine, but what I didn't like was the lack of service we had this time around. Upon checking in at 5PM, they actually told us they didn't have a room ready for us, even if check-in was at 4. We had to speak with someone, and eventually they did give us a room, but we thought it was odd that they didn't already have a room ready past check-in time. The floating river is a nice touch to this hotel, but the way they didn't explain the details to us of how to get into the pool area without wristbands at check-in was also really annoying. We had to wait in line at the front desk AGAIN, which took a long time to receive the passes we needed in order to get to the pool. Overall, we had a lot of misses this time at this property, but maybe it'll be better next time.

The owners did an incredible job honoring the desert beauty by restoring this gorgeous Moroccan inspired hotel that seems to nestle perfectly in the heart of town. You truly enter a little vortex, where everything you could need is on-site and within walking distance. The outside world seems to fade as you walk through the entrance doors. We celebrated a birthday as a couple where we indulged in a one night stay, in the King suite, enjoying the amenities exclusive to hotel guests. We dined at the restaurant, ordered poolside foods & drinks, sat by the bar, soaked in all the bathing areas, and enjoyed the little nooks to lounge. We stayed on a Sunday night and felt we had spaciousness from other guests and privacy to fully relax. Absolutely recommend visiting for an overnight stay as the exclusivity of hotel specific areas is a must to experience. The rooms are also gorgeous and minimalist by nature. The comfort of the bed and clean linens after a day of soaking topped it all! Truly had one of the best nights of sleep and wanted to do it all over again when we rose. As mineral spring connoisseurs, we were impressed by the cleanliness and purity of the waters. Truly healing on every level!! Maintenance staff actively were testing temperature, ensuring the waters remained comfortable and well-kept. Staff overall were helpful and kind. The restaurant menu was diverse and fitting for the setting--hitting the spot with flares of Mexican cuisine. The touches of healthfulness on the menu were appreciated. The pozole soup was warming and a highlight for visiting during the Winer season. Lastly, I can't forget to nod the eclectic and cozy bar, where we enjoyed live music and appetizers before our main sitting. The decor, bites and hospitality took us to another time and place. We intend to visit this hidden gem seasonally as it absolutely nourished and transformed our spirit! & Shoutout to Julie who made our stay unforgettable.
