The man, the myth, the San Vicente Legend!

I have a love hate relationship with this course! Great old school track, beautiful surroundings and brutal greens. Fast, lots of break. The folks that work here are second to none. All super genuine and nice. If they can help with something, they will.

Stayed here for a 4th of July weekend. Nice little getaway at this golf resort during a golf tournament. The room is spacious, my room on the second floor has a high ceiling, and a balcony with chairs and table and with a view that oversees the golf course and mountains. It has a mini refrigerator and an single cup coffee machine. Places to visit around here is town of Julian and Barcelona Casino. Quiet secluded area away from the city life in the city of Ramona. Will definitely think about staying here again when in the area.

What a great place to stay! Options are limited in the area so family that lives in the area suggest San Vicente while we were visiting. San Vicente is clean, staff is friendly and the you can't beat the pricing for an overnight stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable but the real bonus for us was the patio. A very large patio that faces the hills and golf course was key to our enjoyment since we are smokers. Upon check in, we were given an envelope with coupons for the restaurant - $4 off. We didn't ever use them since we ate off site. One odd thing was that if using the pool, you can only be at the pool for one hour and then you must leave so they can sanitize. We never went to the pool so we don't know exactly how that worked. And we aren't golfers so can't rate the course. All in all, it was an ideal place for us to spend the night while in the area.

We attended a wedding at the San Vicente Resort, so we booked a room for the night. We really enjoyed our stay and the room was more than adequate. Nothing too spectacular, but it was plenty large and clean. It featured a large mini-fridge which we used and a single cup coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and stocked. We liked the additional sink in the little "kitchenette" area between the room and the bathroom. The A/C was cold and quiet and the bed was comfortable. We loved the private balcony with a great view of the golf course. Checking in was a breeze and Terri at the check-in counter was very friendly and very accommodating. She even provided us with extra coffee pods and let us check in early so we could get ready for the wedding. Free parking! We would definitely consider San Vicente Resort again for a weekend staycation.

One of the guys that manages the golf course kicked us off the golf course by stealing our keys right from the ignition and yelled saying we were trespassing and to "get the hell out of here". There were NO signs anywhere around the golf course that says no trespassing. The gates all around the neighborhood are even open for golf carts. (As seen in PHOTO below). He was very old and very mean. We actually live here and we'll continue to be riding on the golf course :) If you're going to close the course, maybe remember to put up signs and close the entrances. Your employees suck

The golf course is in great condition. It's been a couple years since I played here last and after this visit I look forward to coming back again soon. The greens were rolling nice and the fairways were in amazing shape. Head Pro Matt Brumbaugh and his team in the pro shop are very friendly and provide great customer service. The carts have GPS and the snack bar has a nice selection. My group had lunch after our round and the restaurant has a nice selection of local craft beers and the menu has a variety of tasty options. I enjoyed the California Smash Burger with bacon and it was perfect! We will be back again soon!

    Guacamole and chips

Well we were looking for a light meal and found this place close to our resort. It was really nice setting and quiet when we got there at 5 not so much at 6 when we left! We shared the chips and guacamole and we also got some Bourbon wings and bacon. I liked both!

    Bed bugs!!

This is by far the dirtiest hotel you could ever stay at. It's infested with bugs crawling everywhere, the bed bugs were the worst. We got bit everywhere and now I have to deal with possibly taking them home with me. If you care about your family, stay away from this place!

Our room was behind the latter

We have stayed here at least 3 other times and it was peaceful and quiet. We weren't informed during booking that the hotel is going through a remodel. Noisy electric sanding/drilling or something right outside our room that continued until 430pm. Woke us up at 730 with the same noise and very loud talking outside our room. Also main restaurant is closed. When I called to complain there was no apology or offer to switch our room away from the construction. Nice place to stay but wait until construction is complete.

Nice course that labels itself a resort. Don't really understand that but the management must think it justifies the over-priced green fees.

He also gave me some free drink vouchers to use at the hotel restaurants and upgraded my room! The room was so big and clean and relaxing. My boyfriend has really bad insomnia but he said he actually slept great! I let him sleep in while I explored the hotel cafe and lounged on the balcony. There was a few parties and events going on that day (June 25th) but we couldn't hear a thing, at all. Our suite had a huge soaker tub and a huge shower that came in clutch, they even have complimentary bath salts and all the soaps! If you want more, they sell nice stuff in the gift shop, too. We also went to the cafe for breakfast burritos and coffee and both were a great way to start our day. Highly recommend staying here for a celebration. I felt like royalty and would love to come back. Shout out to Lorenzo and the team!

This review is mostly for the Viejas hotel as they have two on the property. I was offered a early check in which I was happy about and the gal in the front asked if I wanted the tower that faced the outlets or the tower that faced the parking garage. Naturally I picked not looking at the parking garage but as I settled in and put my bathing suit on I realized I had to walk through the casino with all my stuff and not too many clothes on that I asked if they would move me. They gladly did and again a room was available, thank you for that. The first thing I noticed when I entered was that there wasnt enough light and nothing was automatic. The curtains were hard to open and close because chairs and tables were in front of it and all the lights had to be switched on and off which was a little annoying for me. The elevators were slow but there was always housekeeping in the hallway if I needed any extra coffee or water and they were all really nice. You also couldnt log into your netflix or other streaming services which was a bummer. They did even have a cucumber lemon water in the lobby which was really refreshing as well. The pool was nice and had a DJ on the weekend but there was no service and no food as well. Just a walk up bar that was closed on Monday when I went, On sunday I did come down in my regular clothes to sit in a "cabana" for a moment when I was rudley asked to move as it was for reservations. I did see a reservation sign on the same bed the day before and it wasnt on there on Sunday so I thought it was ok to sit but the guy working there who didnt seem to like his job let me know he cant have me sitting there. I think next time they should just leave the reserved signs on there so there is no confusion and or just let someone sit if the pool is not even busy anyway. I did need the light to work so the lighting part cut my work time and they had robes and no slippers. Hopefully next time I stay it will be more available. I did win at bingo so overall I left pretty satisfied :)

First, the biggest issue: roaches and spiders. Yes, you read that correctly. There were both roaches and spiders in my room. When I reported it to the front desk, I was shocked by the response. The employee simply said, "That's common here," as if it were completely normal. Instead of offering a meaningful solution, they handed me a new toothbrush because a roach had crawled all over mine. And that was it! Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. I've contacted the corporate office and hope they'll offer a refund or some other form of resolution. The food was decent, but it was overpriced. You won't find much on the menu for under $13. On a positive note, the spa was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed my treatments, and the staff there were warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Along with the kitchen staff, servers, and bartenders, they provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the front desk, whose response to a serious cleanliness issue fell far short of what I expected. The furniture is falling apart and the floor is stained. The cleanliness of this place is unfortunately subpar. There were random rags just laying around for some reason, and no one picked them up (so I did). Very disappointing for the amount of money I spent...

They said hi have a grear day an good luck Now for the bads about this place the room service to the room was terrible we waited over 50 mins for 3 shots an a can of coke. This really upset me because i specifically asked how long it would take an i was told no more then 10 mins since it was just liquor. I had to call 2 times to ask the status. Then it was almost 10 i told my hubby lets just cancel an lets go eat. At this point there's no point to wait any longer. As we started to walk out i see the gentlemen delivering our drink. I said oh i was going to cancel he said sorry im the only one delivering the room service please dont cancel. So at this point i felt obligated to pay the amount for our liquor. Then we decided to just get food from the food court. I wanted to get room service for dinner but after our drinks took 50 plus mins i didn't want to wait over 2 hours for a dinner. I was very upset about this Not to mention we found empty cans of beer under the sofa an water was full in the bathtub. I then attempted to talk to the front desk at check out to let them know how crappy it was to wait that long for drinks an the other monor issues. She was RUDE so rude an not helpful at all. She said talk to cat. She didn't want to deal with me at all. Definitely not a good look for this casino. so i had to call to talk to Cat about our unpleasant experience. The 2 mineral hot springs pools are nice. I recommend that you upgrade with a stay so that you have access to the secluded pool, which is really private and a level up. People get day passes, but that only works at the main pool. The main pool gets very, very crowded with day pass attendees. Again, I highly recommend upgrading with a stay so that you have access to the very very nice amenities. There is a restaurant, called Long Shadow, and I'll have a separate review for that. Overall, this was a wonderful and great trip.
