Longing for surf and sand, we scheduled a long weekend in Port Aransas and found a fantastic house within 5 minutes of the beach. "Villa 4 Rita" is dog friendly and can sleep a total of eight. The setup includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with twin beds. An open loft sleeps 4 but it has a low ceiling and the stairs are treacherous. Melissa made our trip fantastic. We got her take on restaurants and took her up on a few of her suggestions. Check in and check out were as easy as the beach breeze.

Not only is there website the most friendly, so are their prices. They never charge hidden fees and they carry mostly mid-range properties. They provide two tabs for dishwasher, a small dish soap, at least two toilet paper rolls, a trash bag, and all of the linens (towels, too). You bring additional of the other if needed - but this is a small price to pay for NO FEES. Getting your key is as easy as stopping by their office (located near the ferry landing). If you arrive after 4pm, there's a drop box and you can pay on your way out. You must put down 1 night deposit (you can use credit card online) and pay full amount when you arrive, but they only accept checks, money orders and cashiers checks up to 2 weeks prior to your stay. Upon arrival you can pay with credit card (although it's very courteous to pay with debit) or cashier's check. We once had several houses booked for a large party so I made sure to bring a cashier's check to avoid the fees. There are very few properties I've not completely loved in the last 5 years of booking with them. If you want an honest opinion about a property - hit me up and I will let you know. TIP: Hang on to your keys - only fees are for lost keys!

Cotter Port Aransas, Texas 78373 800-45-COAST (361) 749-5919 Attention Chamber of Comerce & BBB members: To whom it may concern; I would like to report a dishonest rental company/BeeGees Coastal Quarters. This is my complaint: The other reviews on Yelp are correct about this property manager BeeGee not being honest & giving deposits back. My hubby & I stayed with BeeGee over a week Thanksgiving holiday 2014 & we had a lovely time. We ALWAYS bring our OWN linens & towels we NEVER use ANYONE else's. Hotel, condo or otherwise. She told us bc we were so neat she would give us a great deal on our XMAS vacation rental with her & she would wave the cleaning fee bc we use our own linens & are neat freaks. She said she would just transfer the deposit over to the new XMAS reservations. We made the XMAS reservations, she held the deposit over & we went for XMAS 2014/New Years 2015. We left the house spotless. We NEVER received any deposits back of any kind. I phoned her a few weeks back to ask her about it & inquire about reservations for another holiday & I was informed our deposit would be double & still no refund on either of the rentals from Last year. We have now found a new rental company (Palm Bay rentals/pipalmbay.com) that is much better & a whole lot more honest. It's a long read I know…read more The good - location, pool, on site golf cart rental The bad- too pricey for the lack of parking, cramped RV spaces, questionable power pedestals (our breakers kept tripping) At approximately 10:30 p.m., I was abruptly awakened by an older gentleman repeatedly banging on the door of our camper. When I answered, he immediately began yelling that my truck was parked too far over the parking line and needed to be moved. At no point did he introduce himself or identify himself as an employee or representative of Tropical RV Resort, so I initially believed he was super hostile guest. I tried to explain to him that the designated overflow parking area was completely full and asked where I was expected to park. His response was that I should park off the property on the grass behind the park. I informed him that those areas were also completely full. When I again asked where he expected me to park, he stated that he didn't care, that he would begin fining me $100, and then call the fire marshal so I could be fined an additional $500. I do not tolerate being treated with threats and intimidation. He continued yelling throughout the conversation and would not allow for a productive discussion. To end the confrontation, I simply responded, "Okay," several times and closed the camper door. My husband then stepped outside to understand what was happening after hearing someone yelling at me. Rather than attempting to de-escalate the situation, the gentleman immediately began yelling at him as well. A brief verbal exchange followed, as my husband was understandably unwilling to be spoken to in such a disrespectful manner by someone who had never identified himself or attempted to communicate professionally. At this point, I felt extremely uncomfortable around this person. His behavior was unacceptable for someone who works with the Public and no guest should ever be treated that way for such a minor parking in fraction. There were cars on your property marked with tow warnings because they have been parked there without parking permits. At least one car was there for 48 hours perhaps had those cars been cleared there would've been ample parking. Additionally, there were open spaces in the trailer storage area, but I was informed I could not park there either. I also want to express a genuine concern regarding the older gentleman who confronted us. I cannot speak to his personal circumstances, but based on his behavior that evening, he appeared to be extremely agitated and confrontational. His level of anger, the way he pounded on our camper door late at night, and the manner in which he repeatedly yelled and threatened us made me feel genuinely unsafe. Whether this was an isolated incident or a pattern of behavior, I believe it warrants attention. No guest should feel intimidated or fear for their safety while staying at an RV resort. I sincerely hope management addresses this situation, both for the well-being of the individual involved and for the safety and comfort of future guests. In the end, all this started around 10:30 PM and by 11:15pm we were packed up and ready to go. I would rather forfeit a night or two, than stay in the environment that I was in. I should also note that the angry gentleman sat in the dark on his golf cart, hiding behind a fence, watching us pack up the entire time... it was awkward. This whole mess could've been avoided. Had this gentleman knocked on our door, introduced himself and explained the situation (without yelling and threatening us with fines and the Fire Marshal). This could've been such an easy problem to solve. I feel that in this circumstance, an exception could've been made to allow me to park in the trailer storage area or over by the hotel rooms where there was additional space. I would've been happy to pay the $10 storage fee just to have a place to park on property and not risk being towed by parking somewhere I didn't belong.

We ran out of toilet paper and was told by the property managers that we need to buy our own. That means we have to go into town to buy toilet paper. I have an Airbnb and would never tell our guest to buy their own toilet paper. Receiving a message like that makes me want to care less about turning up the temperature on the AC to save you money. It makes me less motivated to leave the condo as clean as possible. For $2 or $3 you certainly taint how I fell about staying there. 4. Maybe not your issue but the umbrella that we rented was not very good. The auger bit to drill a hole in the sand is not make for hard sand on PA beaches. The only way we could use the umbrella was to manually dig a hole with a borrowed shovel so the hole was deep enough to withstand the wind. 5. The furniture in this condo was a lot older than other MT condos that we stayed in.
