This was hands down the best spa experience I've ever had. My wife and I travel to Manhattan Beach a couple times a year and after being on an airplane we always come to Sand Spa for some much needed self care. Last time we did a couples massage and had 2 therapist one male and one female and they were miracle workers. My wife is super picky and this seems to be the only place she finds herself not having to request someone. She says "everyone is always equally as great as the time before", I feel the same. I got a 90 minute combo massage and the pressure was perfect. I left feeling relaxed and like they really cared about the services they provide. The front desk was sweet and attentive. Gabe was a life saver, I threw out my back and literally felt like I couldn't move. He was probably the most skilled massage therapist i've ever had. The 90 minute deep tissue was therapeutic, relaxing, and results driven. I felt like my back was apart of my body again. The spa was super clean and also very relaxing. The colors where white and blue and it was really nice. I loved that you could book online and that there were no locker rooms. Sometimes I feel like it makes a space to stuffy if there are all these extras - I got a great service at a very great rate and I wasn't pressured to buy a membership. Everyone was really cool. What beautiful decor, peaceful and relaxing - an extension of the blues and grays from the surf. The front desk person was welcoming and knowledgeable. The Sand Spa is by far the best self-care facility in the entire South Bay. It was great from the moment I booked my appointment online because of how easy and efficient their online booking system is. To top it off, I had the BEST deep tissue massage with Lauren. I've had back aches for as long as I can remember and after coming here they have been reduced tremendously. Thanks Lauren! I was lucky enough to snag an appointment this morning (they were completely booked through out the day). What sold me was the attention to detail. The owners were out front chatting with the locals of the area and they were young educated women. The set up was inviting, I started just by getting a free glass of lemonade and a chair massage. The chair massage was great and left me wanting more. I went inside and was greeted by the front desk who booked me in the last open slot of the day! Tried Sand Spa for the first time yesterday and it was the best massage I have ever gotten AND REALLY AFFORDABLE. I had a 90 minute deep tissue with Stephanie and it was wonderful. I am an avid massage go-er and this place definitely tops the list. It is a gem in Manhattan Beach and I will definitely be back. They offer massages in 60 or 90 minutes and YOU GET THE FULL TIME! Extremely pleased with my prenatal massage. I was gifted this service from my husband and wow it made a world of difference. I kept asking myself why it took me so long to come in. I loved the decor and especially how clean the place is. The masseuse was named Maria and she was talented and you can tell that she takes pride in what she does. I always love the friendly staff at Sand Spa, they go the extra mile to make certain my experience is a great one. This is THE place to go for massage. Just walking through the front door is a calming experience. I have very sensitive skin, and very seldom have facials. I elected to have one last Saturday and what a fabulous facial it was!
