We had a decent experience at Sandee Thai Restaurant. I ordered Garden Rolls (one plate of shrimp, one plate of mango). My friends ordered teriyaki chicken and pad Thai. The star of the three dishes was the teriyaki! My friend said the the meat was delicious, the rice was on point, and the veggies were cooked just right. While it was good, though, the portion size was a bit small, for sure, something we all agreed on. The rolls and the Pad Thai were average, though I did really enjoy the mango in mine, and the peanut sauce was one of the better I've had. Our service seemed liked they were struggling, granted it was fairly busy tonight for a Silverton restaurant! What I mean to say is, everyone seemed nice, I just think it was an off evening for them. This probably reflected in the food too? One more thought- music could really be a nice touch here! The food here is so so. I came from a place with great Thai food so it's hard for any place to live up to expectations. The 2 stars is for the horrible service I received. The bad service we receive was from the only cashier/server in the restaurant. From the moment we walked in, she was unhelpful and displayed an unacceptable attitude. When we asked her for reccomendations, she told us to read the menu. We ordered about 15 items and had to wait for about 40 min for the food. The waitreess refused to give us extra napkins or utensils and after the kitchen brought the food out the waitress let us wait for another 5-10 minutes before telling us that our order is complete. I should have gone to Thai Dish near by; the food is the same quality but they gave much better service. read more

The Yellow Curry has the best flavor! I haven't had Yellow Curry this good, since I lived in Seattle, WA 10yrs ago.

My friend and I were on our lunch break and pretty much everywhere else in Silverton was busy at the time so we decided to give this place a try. We typically eat at Thai Dish, but they were closed so we decided we would try somewhere we had never been to before. We called at 1:00pm to place our order which was only two items. The lady on the phone said it would only take 15 minutes. We showed up a few minutes early so it wasn't a huge deal that our food wasn't ready when we paid. However what is a big deal is that we waited another 20 minutes! Not to mention she took almost 10 minutes to help the guests that came in shortly after we arrived and a gentleman from the ONE table that they had as dine-in had to get up and go looking for her. Upon first impression, this place lacks good customer service and has no respect for other people's time. The food was just ok. Likely will not return. Wow, pineapple fried rice! Never had that before, delicious! Some of the dishes were a little on the spicy side for me after ordering what I usually call medium. Perfectly done veggies and rice. This place is nicely decorated, so the atmosphere is pleasant for a date night. The service was prompt and very courteous. The food was delicious - we had Spicy Eggplant with chicken (me) and hubby has Spicy Cashew Nut with chicken. We both enjoyed our meals - the only reason I give 4 and not 5 stars is because hubby thought it was just alright (he also had Thai iced tea and thought it was "okay"). Went for lunch yesterday at Sandee Thai. The food, the owner/server and the ambience was just average. Ordered Pad Thai lunch which comes with soup and salad. The soup was like American chicken rice soup. You could taste the chicken base or canned stock, possibly a tiny hint of ginger, but not Thai in any way. Quite boring. The salad was chopped iceberg with one cucumber slice dressed with a tiny bit of peanut sauce. No traditional cabbage. Quite uninspired and wilting as it was served on the same plate as the Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was ok. Just ok. Don't think we will go back. read more

This place was great, we had a friend tell us this was an awesome place and they were right. We have been there several time now. The service was excellent they greeted us and we prompt to get our orders in. The waitress was knowledgable about the spicy levels and the overall menu items. We had Pad thai which was very tasty I liked the sauce. The salad type rolls were always freshly made and loved the peanut sauce they had whatever the recipe is it's the best one I've had. We tried the yellow curry perfect spicy heat and the veggies were fresh. Love love love the sticky rice I sub it out for the steamed rice on my curry dishes. Love Sandee Thai! Nice clean restaurant, attentive wait staff and super fast service. I keep wanting to try different things on their extensive menu, so I go back again and again. The husband is not a fan of spicy food he usually gets the the Chicken Pad Thai and I order something different each time. Some of my favorites are the Mango Salad Rolls and the Pumpkin Curry. I think the pumpkin curry used to be a special now and again, but they've got it on their permanent menu now (hurray)! Their Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups are comforting deliciousness in a bowl and you can get a half order if you're not super hungry or don't want to mess with leftovers. Since I'm gluten-free I can eat nearly everything on the menu. It doesn't get better than that! read more

The menu here is my foe. Every time I sit down and order a Singha, I then spend the entirety of that beers life scanning the menu. I always wind up being gleefully full and proud of my choice, but its not easy when there are so many options. All the basic "white people" stuff is killer: Orange chicken, chicken pad thai, teriyaki chicken, crispy chicken, chicken wings, they're all great. Then you dive deep. Start off with thai tea, mango rolls, chicken stay. Move into pineapple fried rice, thom yum soup. Finish off with the best dish of all, avacado curry.
