    Chocolate babka

The babka here was so amazing. I went with one of my friends who knew what to get so he picked out a couple pastries. I've never had them before, so I was really impressed and thought they were delicious. They have a big bakery selection.

I was there on a friday afternoon it was a madhouse, but then again madhouse would be an under statement. Seriously MADHOUSE. There was a cake on this cart that you were able to card yourself which looked enticing until some guys cellphone fell on top of it. Gross. People pushing me over I couldn't reach anything... It gets insane. The cookies were not that great or special in anyway. The challah bread was different than what I like. It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, I prefer soft and fluffy and I think there is a much better Bakery in Brooklyn that does it better. I think the sufganiyot(Jelly filled hanukkah donuts were amazing and very traditional. I don't advise going there during "Pre- shabbat" hours. Jelly heart shaped cookie was probably the best thing there. The regular jelly filled cookies were too crunchy for my liking. Probably won't go back.

    The Napoleon's! (A must try)

Sander's has recently renovated their place in to a newer and more modern, rustic style bakery -although the size remained the same and is a bit small- with a new storefront and displays, gone is that old shabby store front and showcases that where already crying from being so old and in is a whole new picture pleasant on the eye... (I'll leave it up for you to check it out.) Sander's specializes in Bakery stuff solely, unlike other bakeries that focus on a wide range of items like sandwiches, salad bars, coffee etc. and therefore lose focus over the main thing. Sanders specializes in mastering the art of baking the best bakery stuff in town. (Talking about "Yoely Town") But the one thing that they excel in, and I have never tasted anyone making it better then them, is their Napoleon cake (Some call it mille-feuille) which is a square serving of puff pastry on top and bottom filled with some Vanilla/Boston cream, you name it filling, and let me tell you that it is "DELICIOUS" they have it in a verity of three toppings which are confection sugar, black and white chocolate and Crunch with confection sugar. The crunch is my favorite one, however they do charge .25 cents more for that one but I think it's totally worth. (Wife claims that she tastes the extra quarter when she eats it...)

Chocolate babka, remains of cheese danish and two slices of Mandel bread.

Excellent pastries! I've only had a couple things but enjoyed every bite. The prices seem very reasonable for the area as well.

We were a group of 8 with two children. After touring Crown Heights since early morning, we stopped here for lunch. We walked in, were nicely greeted and sat down immediately. The waitress came over, said hello and immediately took a drink order. They. have a pretty extensive list of wine and beer here along with their very complete food menu. I skipped the appetizer but a few of my friends had the wings. I made the mistake of not tasting one and they looked delicious. Who ever had one also enjoyed them. I went straight for the burger, most of of did. Their classic burger was, [well] a classic. A great patty of [kosher] beef with all the toppings. It was perfectly cooked [medium] and flavorful and moist. This is definitely a great burger spot. Too bad it's a 45 minute drive from me. Service was great and our waitress very attentive to detail. I am really looking forward to a return trip with my wife. I want to experience their great looking desserts. KUDO's to the team here at Boeuf & Bun.

Food: Smash burger are great, they are not the best but I would rank it as top 5 in the city. I was pretty surprised how they charge for cheese (the place is mostly Kosher, and the Cheese of I remember is vegan) which contradict the concept of smash burgers. The fries were overly cooked if not almost burned, so I couldnt eat half of the basket. Service: ordering regular fries and getting trufle fries just to charge me extra is not a nice move. But having those popcorn and water cup made up for it little bit. If I knew I would be charged that much (burger + fries) I would have chosen from the lunch special menu

If that's not the most Brooklyn thing ever, I don't know what is. Same sandwiches, different blessing. Everybody says order the pastrami, so I listened like a grown man should. Pastrami on rye with spicy mustard absolutely slapped. Smoky, juicy, perfectly stacked, and messy enough to ruin your shirt with honor. Then came the beef brisket on rye with a cup of au jus for dipping... and brother, that dip should be studied by scientists. Pure perfection. Washed everything down with a Dr. Brown's root beer like it was 1957. No fake trendy nonsense. No deconstructed sandwiches. Just old-school deli greatness that punches you directly in the soul. Dishes you'll be familiar with but with a slight twist in a good way is the name of the game here. The vibe is upbeat, staff is friendly and the food is on point. This night we had the caramelized medjool dates with chunks of crispy beef bacon, pickled red onions with a drizzle of aioli that but thru the sweet and have it a nice balance. Their signature burger is ultra juicy bf flavorful, even if you must get it well done ;), the Duck pastrami was really tender and had all the flavors of what a traditional pastrami would have. Their charcuterie board was phenomenal and chef said he'd be updating it from time to time with new additions as well. And I'm physical obsessed with their pickled veggies jar!! Loved their olive oil cake served with an in season persimmon and kumquat coulis, almost like a short cake and the sweet and tart of the fruit coulis complimented really well. So get your GNO, BNO, birthday, date night, family celebration going here! It's a fun night out with great food, beautiful ambiance and upgrade energy! Oh and they will hold your table 20 min past your reservation time, DO NOT BE LATER THAN THAT because there is a ton of walk ins and they will give your table up to one of the many hungry patrons waiting. Which I do very much appreciate that they stick to that rule.
