Took time out of my day to bring my car to Sanderson Body Shop (45 Minute Drive) to have Fred Tucker look at defective paint work for warranty work. Fred took pictures and it ended there. Never heard back from him until I called to follow up, 2 weeks later to find out what's going on, when can I drop my car off. Fred said the system for submitting warranty claims is down that was 5 Days ago. I find it hard to believe that their system is still down. Every time I call to speak to Fred, he's out to lunch. I feel bad for the people that have to answer the phones there. It must be difficult to be on the other end of the phone making excuses for these people who will not get on the phone with a customer. read more

I am frustrated how a dear friend is being treated by this dealership that used to be so reputable. I would give zero stars if it was possible. Sanderson a got her in a car loan @ a very high interest and salesman advised her to let her currant car loan go into default!!!! Because she definitely could not afford both car loans. Sales agent told her she "will be alright", if she bought a car from them and quit paying on her current car!!!! After my friend returned the car to the lot & decided not to purchase there has been confusion with the lender for the new car returned. To verify that the dealer was sending loan money back to lender for their car she had returned, accounting was not helpful to her :/ It is very concerning. Buyer beware. Just picked up my vehicle from Sanderson Ford Service. Got a call before picking up my vehicle that my service was done and that there's a nail in one of my tires but that it was too close to the sidewall to fix. Upon arrival my vehicle was in perfect condition just waiting for its 10k mile service. I personally inspected my own car as so did a technician. There was no nail in my tire before dropping it off for service. I wouldn't be annoyed or mad if it wasn't for the tires costing $500 a piece. Attempting to contact them seems to not resolve anything. Everyone was nice and respectful but horrible service. read more

First, I must say that the purchase process was a very good experience and the Salesperson, and Finance person were very professional. The Service Department is one of the worst that I have ever dealt with. After having my truck for 37 days, they gave it back to me with the same vibration in it that it had when I took it in. On 06/20, I purchased a used vehicle from Don Sanderson Ford. I purchased my previous vehicle from them 8 years ago, & specifically asked for the same salesman for this purchase. He was still with the company & was my salesman for this purchase too. On 07/07 the car started to vibrate more than it had been, so I called the service dept on 07/08 to make an appt to have it checked out. On 07/09 I noticed that every time I would put my foot on the brake pedal, it would make a loud click as if it was going into a different gear. Then that same night, the engine light came on. My appt was for 07/11, & I explaned to the advisor what was going on...the issues with the vehicle. About 3 hrs later I recd a call from the advisor stating that the tech believes the vehicle to need a new motor...however, the advisor wants another tech who is supposed to 'specialize' in motors, to look at it. Lots of msgs left & a few calls from the advisor with no info as to what exactly was diagnosed. No contact from 07/20 - 07/27. Finally speak with the advisor, only to have him tell me that the tech was 'pulled' from working on my vehicle to work on others during that time. Did those vehicles arrive before 07/11? That didn't make any sense to me. The advisor then says that yes indeed, the 2nd tech diagnosed a new motor needed. (Let's give kudos to the 1st tech who had already diagnosed the problem. Him they should keep.) Now it needed to get approved by Ford before anything could be done. The tech needed to take the motor apart & pictures needed to be taken by the advisor, then that would be sent to Ford for an approval. On 7/28 the advisor says that would take place. On 07/31, I receive a call from the advisor stating that Ford says more pictures are needed, & that he was told it would be another possible 2 days to hear back from Ford. My first payment on the vehicle is due today. I must pay on a vehicle that I have not been able to drive since 07/11 morning. Along with that, I have been paying for Uber rides back/forth for work. My Dad was a salesman at Don Sanderson many years ago, when I was still living at home. My Dad had previously worked at Five Star Ford & Mel Clayton Ford but Don Sanderson was the place he was happy at. He believed that Don Sanderson best represented the quality of a good dealership. My Dad (Gil G.) took pride in his job there. He was honest & did his best to put his customers in something that they would really love & would also be practical for them. He wouldn't try to sell a Mustang to a family with children, just to make the bigger commission. My Dad's customers would come back to him & spread the word about him, and the dealership. If my Dad was here now, he would be so upset with Don Sanderson Ford, and the way that I am being dealt with. Shame on you Don Sanderson Ford. Shame on you! read more

Sanderson has the best inventory to choose from, the best customer service, and I dealt with a very accommodating sales agent in Nicholas Romero. I went there simply to see the new Hybrid Ford Maverick and the choices to select from there on the lot outnumbered all the rest of AZ. dealerships' inventory. All the other dealer's were offering the vehicle in 6 months to a year wait list. I started driving my new Maverick from Sanderson within 24 hours. After visiting a half dozen or more Ford dealers on line and in person Sanderson's Ford is the best, and in this instance only choice for me. read more

My overall experience getting my RV serviced here was sufficient. I think they would have earned four stars if they installed dually valve extenders. It's the main reason I had my rig serviced 30 miles away from my home. Rex, who was nice, should have mentioned that they didn't perform this service when I dropped off the RV. I'm truly surprised a commercial fleet provider doesn't have these parts in stock and their techs won't install them. I'm not sure but I would guess 50% of the trucks they deal with have valve extenders. I paid $177 for a tire which I believe was fair. They charged me $60 to check my brakes. The service took 3 days. I feel like they should had handled that in 48 hours. I also needed to follow up with Rex on day two for an update. My first experience using them was great. The service advisor I used was Jim Thompson (I believe) and he was great. Honest and very matter of fact. He, unfortunately, is no longer there. read more

So, my key for my F150 stopped working (the button that unlocks the doors) so I called a few days ago and they said to come in to the service department and they can make me a new key. So I did this afternoon. I walk into the "service department" (I'm making the assumption that it was the service department because it said "service" on the sign) as I was instructed and walk up to a window with 2 ladies sitting there. I tell them I need a replacement keyless entry key for my truck to at which point I am told (vedy rudely) "your going to have to go outside and find a service advisor because I don't know how to do that." So I went outside in the rain with my 2 daughters and my wife, couldn't find a service advisor, have no idea where I'm supposed to even find one, so I left. I guess I'll find someone else who wants to take my money, because I will never be back to this place again. Still pretty mad about this encounter hours later. Service Department is terrible. I had a blow out on my truck which ripped apart my inner fender well and all the electronic wiring for the antilock brake system. After I picked up my truck I went and washed it and noticed that they broke the red light/reflector on the door and left the wiring, shown in picture, to my antilock brakes just wired with electrical tape. They glued the lense/reflector back in place so if the bulb ever burns out I will not be able to replace it. My insurance paid to have everything fixed as new. I will never use them again! A couple weeks later, the problem reappeared. It was presumed that the original main part that was replaced had failed again. Brought it back paid for a second replacement. Again after a few weeks, the problem recurred. Repeated phone calls to the service writer went unanswered. Calls to the service supervisor went unanswered. I wouldn't recommend Sanderson Ford in Arizona to anyone. They do not stand by their mechanics work so I wouldn't trust them to work on my vehicle or buy a vehicle there ever again and they may have totally turned me off of Fords. It may be time to try a Dodge truck. I took my F350 in for an oil leak and I still have an oil leak. After paying to $2,730.00 for the "fixed"oil leak I noticed within an hour I was still leaking oil, an untrained person. I immediately let Sanderson Ford know of the problem. They claim their was too much oil to find the leak. I'm not a trained mechanic but surely the oil must be cleaned before what they found wrong could be fixed. I also know that if there is an oil leak the injector reading is incorrect. Therefore, I didn't need the four new injectors that I paid for or the labor costs that went along with it. I didn't sprout a new oil leak in the 8 1/2 mile trip home. They wanted to charge me another $2,400 to fix the oil leak. Then, they went down to $1,200, and finally $650 plus tax. I refused service as I said I would from the time I was called on how they could make it better...I told them the only way they could make it better was to fix my oil leak as originally agreed without charging me more. My husband on three separate occasions was talking to Sanderson employees individually and told them what happened. Each one said the shop that didn't fix the oil leak needs to fix the job they were paid to do, fix the oil leak. When it was revealed to the employees that it was Sanderson that did the work they all said Sanderson needs to fix the oil leak as promised. read more

I've had appointments for them to pickup my vehicle where they no showed and blamed the website. I've had appointments where I left 4 messages over a week to speak with the service advisor and never received a call back. Blocked off dead ends everywhere because they park vehicles to close off the exits. You have to go through the manned entrance gate. The guy working on Monday 8/12/23 at 8:30am stood and talked to one of the associates in the vehicle in front of me for several minutes, and when I rolled my window down to ask them to move aside or move along, the man told me "I'm not the one driving this car" and laughed. Getting that Vehicle worked on several times for 2 years and then once the warranty is expired they act like nothing can be found when the buyer brings an issue to their attention. My car had almost 1000$ worth of work that had to be put into it and this location could not find the issue. I had to take it to a DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP for them to fix my issue. I realize that when you deal with mechanical things, anything could go wrong, but the employees at Sanderson work diligently to evaluate and repair any concern that my vehicle may have. I have also waited for my service to be done, and each time had lunch at their diner. The food was great, and the diner is a hidden gem in Glendale. I realize that Sanderson is way on the west side, but proudly drive by two Ford dealers to get to Sanderson, and it is certainly worth the drive !!! read more
