This is a good and honest place. Roger and George really know what they're doing. If you need to order a part, ask Roger to do it for you. He might even have it in stock. His prices make it clear what an absolute rip-off some other places in Gainesville are. Call him up if you need a tune-up or anything, and he'll tell you when he can fit you in. If it's a reasonably small job, he can do it while you stand there and wait. Roger also handles scooter repairs. He doesn't turn up his nose at them (unless your scooter is trash, I guess). The shop is tiny and it doesn't look like much, but the quality of the work will make you feel good. George is without a doubt one of the best bike mechanics in this part of the state. If you're driving north on Sixth Street, keep your eye on the right-hand side of the street after you cross 39th Avenue, or you'll miss the shop. You are the Wiener The Correct answer is B-E This place is the worst and his lies are worsor - (Not Correct, I know). I took my bike to him with a problem and he stated the "Other Shop" overcharged me and he could fix the problem for $125.00 or he would not charge me anything. Well he worked on carb jets and charged me $225.00. The Jets had absolutely NOTHING to do with problem and I NEVER authorized him to perform any work on my bike and even further, what happened to the "I wont charge you if I can't get it running for $125.00 or less" My bike has now been in his shop for over 5 months and each time I call he has a new excuse. "I've been busy, I can't get good help, I'm going to take out the motor and check for the problem, I'll call you back soon" All these excuses and my bike has yet to be fixed. I called today and was told "I took the motor out and going to look at it" I told him I want to pick it up and take it elsewhere and he stated "I'm going to look at it and let you know" I suspect it'll be 5 more months if I don't actively engage this guy to get my bike back and on the road before summer is gone. Let me tell you about my experience. I called and asked when would be a good time to bring my motorcycle, I was told the coming Saturday would be great. When I arrived that Saturday, Roger seemed angry I brought my bike in even though he was the person who said to do so. When I arrived, I was told it would take awhile for my bike to be serviced. I only asked them to clean the carbs and drain/replace the brake fluid. 3 weeks into them having my bike I called and asked what was going on. I was told that they had to order new seals for my brakes, as they had deteriorated. I was mad because they never asked me to do this, when I told them not to install the brake seals they became mad at me. I was told they had spent 26 dollars a piece on them, and I REALLY should have them installed because my brakes would not function with out the seals replaced. I refused and of course my brakes worked fine. They told me my ignition coil was bad...Mind you I drove this bike for weeks before and there was never an issue, except for the carbs needing to be synced. I believe it went out, because my bike was left out in the rain for many days. I even drove by and saw it being rained on. I then asked when my bike would be done, I was told it would be done in the next few days. So after about another week I called again, I was told my carbs were really bad, and they were going to have to charge more to clean them. I was quoted 400 dollars. By the time I picked up my bike they charged me $900 dollars. I did not even pay that much for my bike. They also stated they put a sleeve in my oil pan, as it was leaking. On the way home, my bike shut off after the low oil light came on. I tried to get it started after setting it on it's center stand adding 2 quarts of oil, to no avail. So they came and towed the bike. The next day I was told there was nothing wrong with the bike, even thought my pants were ruined from all of the oil leaking out. At this point I was outraged and took my bike back home. Fast forward two weeks and the carbs they supposedly cleaned are leaking gas at a high rate, and the sleeve they put in on the oil pan is leaking very heavily. I also now am unable to drive the bike, as I am losing about 1 gallon of gas every 10 miles from my carbs leaking. Truly the worst mechanics I have ever dealt with. I would not recommend, ever going here. They are sure to rip you off without fixing the issue. They will inflate the charges to suit their whims. read more

My bike had set for a few years, so the carbs were gunked up. I took it to Sanderson to repair it. He told me 4-6 weeks and asked for $500 up front, which I paid. I didn't call or go by the shop for the first 3 weeks. On the 4th week, I called and asked if progress was being made, and he said yes. I dropped by the shop the next day, and they had just taken off the carbs the day before. I thought, well maybe they've been busy. He asked for another $600, which I paid. I then called once a week, and dropped by the shop once a week. Every week when I called, I was told it "might" be ready by the end of the week, but when I stopped by the shop, the only thing I could tell that they had done was roll it out of the shop in the morning, and back in at night. On the 10th week (4 weeks over due) I told him he had 3 more weeks to get my bike done, or I was coming and getting it, running or not. He apologized, saying "Guess I've been dragging my feet on your bike." He called on the day i told him i was coming to get it and asked me to bring the current tag by so they could test ride it, so I did. I was told it would be ready that afternoon. It was not ready. 13 weeks so far, when I was told 6 weeks at the max. He has lied to me everytime I called, about the progress that was being made. He has lied to me about when it was going to be ready. Roger Sanderson is a liar and a cheat, who doesn't care about his customers, only about lining his pockets for doing next to nothing. I WILL NEVER TAKE A BIKE TO SANDERSON AGAIN, NOR WILL I RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE. I AM GOING DOWN THERE TOMORROW TO GIVE HIM A PIECE OF MY MIND AND GET MY BIKE BACK, RUNNING OR NOT.
