Old diner that has been around forever. Really loved the interior, you can tell they kept the original look and took very good care of everything. Staff was super nice. I got the corned beef hash breakfast w 2 eggs over easy and English muffin. Everything was excellent and eggs were cooked perfectly. Paid $15 with tip. Went here for breakfast since I had to stay close to Bethesda Hospital East because I had a friend in the hospital. Someone had recommended Sande's for its down home old country breakfasts. He was right! This place seems to be lost in time! The atmosphere is old Florida and the hospitality can't be beat. The staff makes you feel like you're at home and you actually feel like you're eating (and enjoying) breakfast or brunch in a long lost relative's home! The prices are SUPER reasonable and before we left, our waitress gave us refills of our beverages in to-go cups for the car! What a sweetheart! We had a nice booth in front of a window and watched the place fill up with quickly. The menu was basic breakfast and lunch which could be ordered any time . The menu was also used as our placemat :-) They don't take credit cards but have an ATM conveniently located at the front checkout. I ordered two eggs with corned beef hash, hash browns and an english muffin. My friend ordered pancakes with eggs and bacon. Both came out quickly and they made sure our coffee never ran out!! We enjoyed our meals along with the service and atmosphere. It was a treat to find a good breakfast place! I was very excited to walk into this restaurant. It seemed like a great family restaurant. Everyone knew each other. The food was amazing but during our breakfast, I pulled out a lottery ticket that I had purchased my girlfriend and surprise her by telling her that this was gonna be a ticket that was gonna take us the rest of our lives together we had our breakfast we left the restaurant and I forgot the ticket on the table. I order takeout the grilled cheese sandwich I picked it up and it was 99 percent bread and 1 percent cheese, I drove off and ate it later on and was 100% dis satisfied. The menu has all of the breakfast staples. I really love how affordable everything is because recently breakfast has turned into the price of a 3 course dinner! I went with the biscuits and gravy and was very happy with my decision. It reminded me of the one my dad makes which is hard to replicate! Sande's is a diner that has been in business for over 40 years. Built over an old ranch house, it's of the age where it has no natural gas service; it has a giant propane tank at the back and it is cash-only. Menu is classic luncheonette/diner, it is a hash-slinging joint with a cast of regular characters -- an endangered species of place that I'm glad is still enduring. Sande passed away in July of 2022; the restaurant is now run by her daughter, who is manning the fort upfront. Benedicts -- which come with a big glass of mimosa -- are served on weekends.
