The Seed is an adorable little coffee shop among the busy stretch of Atlantic Ave, closer to the east end. This is the first location of The Seed that I've been to, so I'm not sure how other locations compare, but this one was pretty small in general with limited seating inside. Luckily my fiancé and I got there while it was empty, so we were able to choose two of the four bar seats along the wall across from the counter. I had a latte with almond milk and house-made lavender syrup, and we each had a classic croissant sandwich. Latte with house-made lavender syrup: I really enjoyed this. My fiancé described this as a "mix of coffee and tea", which I think was fitting. The lavender syrup sweetened the coffee with light floral notes and the latte was a great balance between herbal, floral, and creamy overall. Classic croissant sandwich: The egg patty was pretty thick, I'd say just under a 1/2" thick. It was packed with bacon and cheese, and the sandwich was toasted the way I liked. The croissant was buttery and flakey, and overall I enjoyed the sandwich. There wasn't anything unique about the sandwich though, it was just a solid breakfast croissant sandwich that was made well. No special sauces or other ingredients. I guess that's why it's the classic. The staff was nice and pleasant, and our food and drinks were made in a reasonable amount of time. I do think the food and drink were a bit overpriced for what it was (our bill was ~$40 for two sandwiches and two drinks), but they say the ingredients are all locally sourced so I'm assuming that's why. Overall, this was a great experience and I'd certainly choose this The Seed over a larger chain coffee shop. Just know that the dollars can add up quickly here! read more

I came here for a much-needed coffee break. They have so much variety on the menu and they even have a summer special. I got the cinnamon toast, crunch latte and it was absolutely delicious. Also, they have variety such as Matcha and other coffee on the menu. Also, they have some food that I will definitely taste and try next time. The service was great as they were quick. I would definitely give feedback to have more seating inside as I know there is seating outside, but it is not always great and the Florida heat. I stayed there thinking they were going to be seating, but there wasn't and it was quite uncomfortable with what they had set up. If I came here again, I would probably try to remember that I'll just take my coffee to go as I can't really sit and socialize inside the coffee area. read more

Have been dying to try one of their locations out for a while and it did not disappoint. They offer many combinations of coffee and smoothies. They also had a great selection of pastries that were warm and fresh. The service was pretty quickly despite there being a line. First and foremost the staff was very friendly & the place was so cute! But what I truly came for was the coffee.....it fell sub par for me. I had such high hopes! But I was really let down by the nitro brew coffee (the whole reason for my visit). It's supposed to be creamy and rich, this seemed to me like a weak iced coffee with foam on top. I saw it being poured so it was in fact "nitro"...Im just not a fan of the overall product outcome. I also had the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte (hot) ..it was mid. It just wasn't my kind of coffee spot. HOWEVER if you are in fact a fan of cute places to take instagram pictures this is your place. It was so cute inside! Such an instagram worthy spot! Me? It's a cozy spot with a few seats indoors and outside and a cute little bench swing too. The staff are fast and friendly, and the baked goods are delicious. It's cleaner on the inside than I expected and the staff at the register are nice. I came in for a juice, but didn't get it because they're in plastic bottles, not made to order. I tried the plain butter croissant. They served it warm. The exterior wasn't flaky, but it was crisp. It was also a bit greasy. I didn't care for the flavor. read more

I only recently became a regular matcha consumer, so understand that this is a neophyte's perspective. To put it sophisticatedly mildly.... ... Holy shazbot! I was in town for an overnight visit, and after a horribly uncomfortable redeye from Los Angeles, I was in desperate need of a sustained energy boost that only matcha can provide (go L-Theanine!). My local friend raved about this place, and I was too tired to inquire for details... which ended up being a good thing. I tried the piña colada matcha, which (true story) cued that familiar angel choir "aaaaaaah" we heard in "Bruce Almighty" and in cheesy commercials. Except there was no cheese here. This was legit so heavenly, I briefly caught glimpses of my ancient ancestors smiling with approval (yes they made it past them pearly gates!). Love the surfy, Tulum vibes, and the staff is very welcoming. They have an excellent selection of pastries/bites, but best of all, for the 'Gram, they have the cutest set up for pictures. This location is so much nicer than the Boynton location. It was more inviting, much cleaner and the pastry case was well stocked. I stopped in here to get some immunity shots. I also got an iced skinny vanilla latte and a spinach quiche. I was hoping the immunity shots would be strong, but they mostly tasted like sugar. The coffee was smooth and the quiche was fluffy and delicious. The only issue is parking. Because this location is on the Ave, it can be difficult to find a spot. It's also a little expensive. The Seed is a coffee shop straight out of a movie. It's got the beautiful aesthetic we all dream of when we go looking for local coffee shops, friendly sweet workers who ask your name and write it with love on the cup, and a menu that will knock your socks off. Their instagram has been catching my eye for a few months now, but it was their holiday drinks on Yelp that finally lured me in. I ordered the banana foster latte and I feel like I need to shout from the rooftops. It's flavorful, sweet, and smooth. The coffee is bold but not overwhelming. The sweet cream on top gave the coffee a nice touch without making you feel like your cup had too little coffee. It tasted like actual bananas foster dessert ordered at a gourmet restaurant...but in coffee form. In case the perfect coffee wasn't enough to draw you in, the shop itself is amazing. A cozy little nook for relaxing, bar stools to chat with friends at, all with a view of their incredible pastries. I came here after lunch and honestly wish this had been my first and only stop!!!! At first glance this cafe looks like an amazing spot. Ideal location in Delray with a very cute interior. I was expecting more from the way the cashier was advertising the place, he was very nice, but frankly the lattes were lack luster. I paid 7.00 for a regular sized strawberry matcha latte (which is absolutely absurd) and I might has well bought strawberry nesquik and added my own matcha because that would be more flavorful then what I received. The fruity pebble coffee tasted like just a straight two shot expresso. There is little seating and I honestly wouldn't recommend this place. read more

The coffees were good but nothing special. We had the strawberries and cream latte and Cinnamon Toast Crunch latter. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte didn't have the topping like all the pictures show. Why was it $7.50 then? My main issue was the food. We both got the croissant sandwich. I didn't realize it was sitting out and not made to order. It's a huge block of egg so both of ours came out cold. I had them reheat mine and the center was still cold so I just threw it out. I did not realize this was no longer Amar bakery until after I walked in and the menu looked very different. The interior has not changed much - there is a long display case and register to order on one side, with some large fridges with cold pressed juices and waters - and there is limited seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. The new menu does have a lot of different coffee, tea, and smoothie options to choose from. The flavors of the coffee and iced matcha were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. The prices here are just too high for average cafe fare, and more expensive than other cafes in Delray. The base menu prices are pretty standard, but there are upcharges for flavoring, sweetener, and $1.25 if you want to change the milk. This took a regular sized iced matcha (about the size of a grande) from a $5.50 menu price to a $7.22 total by checkout and a cold brew from $5.75 to over $8. We also tried the zucchini walnut loaf ($5). The slice was a large portion, but it was dry - which is not wholly unexpected with vegan baking - and lacked any distinct zucchini bread flavor. read more

Place is very small, very limited seating, door to come in/out very heavy to open especially when needing to carry drinks and food in hands. Service is good. Frosted Cinnabon was stale and partially cold. 2/10. Bagel bomb was overly filled with plain cream cheese and the bread was not a bagel bread but more so a bun bread and greasy. The scallion flavor was not flavorful. 1/10. The lattes were not good but not horrible. They were exactly ordered the same but one was sweeter than the other. 3/10. The aesthetics of the place and food and the location on atlantic ave was good. 7/10. (Size of location not good and front door too heavy for heavy traffic and carrying items) I would recommend to The Seed, larger store in same location or very similar location (atlantic ave is great and the location is a vibe), new easy access door, taste tested menu/ reviewed, measured ingredients. The Seed is trending so I would recommend to make adjustments fast to make use of momentum. read more
