    MOB Bar

I'm a fan of the Sandy Shore. Their location is great! Their beach is very nice! The staff is very friendly. The MOB bar is awesome! We love it here. They have the best connection for food at the beach as the order is brought right to your lap. Night time is the best. The bar is all lit up. You can hear the waves crash as you sleep. If I could make a recommendations for this place I would say they need to upgrade their WiFi. For the amount people pay WiFi should be so much better. They call it the Sandy shore for a reason...but some kind of mats for people to clean their feet off so they don't bring sand into the rooms. No one likes sand in their bed sheets. Outside of that this place is a must! See you again soon Sandy Shore!!

I've always wanted to stay here in all my years of making day trip from CT to misquamicut state beach. It's the hotel at the end of the main drag and were you turn left to go to the state park. I wasn't expecting a fancy-stay just some place where I could walk directly from my room in my pajamas ( if I felt like it) and be on the beach. The lobby is just a small room that is manned by the manager lady who also was running the beach bar. We came in off-peak May so this probably changes when they are busier. We had booked on hotels.com so it had selected the very smallest and therefore worst room in the place ( room 14) on the top floor. After talking with the manager at the bar she told us it was better to call and speak with them to book the room so they could help us make a better selection next time. Out room was so small the only ventilation was the double doors, which are 1 foot from the queen bed. If you want air that isn't from the air conditioner unit you have to leave your motel door open. This was the smallest motel/hotel room I have ever stayed in. Even compared to places in Japan. Nevertheless it had a modern tv mounted up in the corner of the room that had an HDMI port for our roku stick. They have cable but we like access to our Netflix/Hulu/AmazonPrime/YouTube too. They don't usually provide hairdryers but my husband asked and they let us borrow one. They even offered to move our room after Sunday since the whole place had emptied out for the week. We declined since we were only staying one more night. We only had one night stand and no lamp ( we asked and gave us one - I think they were still getting ready for the season) The fridge was a college size half fridge which was nice. No coffee-maker. You couldn't probably guess there is no breakfast offered as well. There are some good places about 8 min drive away: Sunny Side Up and Cooked Goose. We ended up spending a decent amount of time at the beach bar, which is a very nice feature. Comfortable seating and friendly bartender conversation. One more thing the walls are very thin, I think I could hear our neighbor snoring at one point. Also if your neighbors are partying you can hear a lot.

Cozy clean get away. Gene the owner makes everyone feel like family & friends! A bar is set up right on the beach with live music in the summer. You can have a blast or just relax. If it's not sold out and you're lucky enough to get a room you won't be disappointed! Close enough but far enough away from it all!!

We had a really great experience here this past weekend celebrating our anniversary. This was our first time staying here and it did not disappoint. We arrived to be meet by Frank who issued us our parking spot and told us were to park. We chatted a few mins and he told us we were assigned one of the newly renovated rooms. He was super helpful. When I went to check in at the desk a short time later, we meet Stephanie who was so nice and made check in a breeze. We got to our room and were blown away by it . It was beautiful, nicely done. See the attached pictures. There are even beach towels nicely folded for the guests to use. The new huge deck was wonderful and every room has an ocean view. What a beautiful spot. There outside bar was great, we talked to the owner a few times and Stephanie, who was also a great bartender. The were both great. On Fri they had a guy singing , who was awesome. We have been coming down to Misquamicut for the last 10 yrs for an anniversary weekend and use to stay next door , but he no longer books rooms. The Sandy Shore is our new spot for years to come .

We happened to spot this office on one of our walks and decided to walk in and see what they had available. We met Lisa the owner/broker. She and her daughter Taylor were having a heated argument at that time so I was a little skeptical about the place. However, after sitting down and discussing our wish list she immediately had a place in mind for us. It was right above one of the popular restaurants in the heart of downtown. She immediately took us for a showing and we rented the place on the spot. She also mentioned that the landlord was renovating a nearby building and converting it to some upscale condos. When we showed interested she took us over there to check out the place. We also picked her brains about the area and even some of the other rentals we were planning on viewing that afternoon in the surrounding area and she seems to know every one of the owners. She has lived in the area and have been in business for over 27 years so she seems to know where the best spots in towns are at for renting/purchasing a place. She also knew where the hot spots for restaurants/lounges/business were at and also where new ones would be opening soon. She is pretty good at assessing our likes and dislikes so we didn't waste any time with her. I also noticed that lots of locals list their places with her. We're really big Craigslist users and she had a lot of local listings on there. So, if you want options, I think she got some for you. I would definitely work with her again when we get ready to purchase a place. If you are looking for a agent that is familar with this area and can help you with finding a place to live or play then this is your place. Lisa and her daughter Taylor are also very cheerful fun folks. That's always a plus!

STAY AWAY! DO NOT RENT!!!…read more Not only is the landlady unresponsive to the concerns of residents, you will be left to live in unsafe conditions! We rented our first unit in July 2009. Being that it was an older mobile home unit, the issues we had were pretty much expected. The on-site maintenance gentleman was always there to help us when we had an issue. At the time, we had a good relationship with our landlady. However, when it was time for us to move, we were forced out quite quickly because she had already had a new resident set to move in within a couple of days. When we moved into out second unit in June 2012, we were not given back our security deposit from the previous unit. It had been "moved over" to this one, yet we were never told what the interest earned was. (So now we have no idea how much security deposit money is held within that escrow account.) Work was being done on new windows. It ceased on that day, leaving them incomplete and not insulated. during that winter we had ice on the inside of our mobile home unit. Nothing was finished until March 2013. The painting was never completed, there is been peeling paint and flaking paneling the entire time we have lived here. The BIG kicker... a hole along the bottom of the wall big enough for me to stick my arms through and grab the back of the trailer skirting!!! We have been dealing with a leaking roof, mold issues, and this place smelling like a rot. During all of these issues, I had to contact the health inspector, the building code inspector, the fire marshal, and still nothing was done! Everything finally went to court! Completely ridiculous! Once it reached that point, we were no longer "the territory" of the on-site maintenance guy. WHAT?! I am out of here in five days, and I cannot tell you how absolutely ecstatic I am. I have NEVER, EVER in my ENTIRE life dealt with something so absolutely disgusting! When it reached the point where I was taken by ambulance to the hospital, just yesterday, because part of that ceiling put water mold into my lungs when pieces fell on my face... THAT'S IT!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!! You will never receive a call back, your issues will not be taken care of, you will be completely neglected! If you own your own mobile home, do not rent a lot here. You will not have anything taken care of as far as trees in the lot hanging over your property. Your mobile home will be damaged, it's happened to many who have lived here!
