This place would've been a 5 star review if it wasn't for the terrible attitudes that the wait service had! We're not from the area and we were looking for a good place to have breakfast, as my husband drove miles upon miles toward our destination (Six Flags) I was constantly refreshing the "redo search in this area" because I didn't want a chain restaurant or a boring bagel/donut place. When I saw the name, I got so excited! It sounded perfect! Upon entering, it feels like you're in someone's house. There's so many knick knacks, friendly faces, and the decor is just perfect. My friends ordered omelettes, and my husband and I ordered the same thing, a fried egg sandwich, but we each wanted to add a few things to it. Our server wasn't very friendly from the start, and got really annoyed with each of our orders. When a different lady brought us our food, we asked for some more creamer and she rolled her eyes and snatched the basket and just dropped it on the table when she brought it back. Then when we went to pay, between my friends and my husband, we had 3 separate debit cards. The lady ringing us up was huffing and puffing and slamming the cards/receipts around. It just left a bad taste in our mouth. I do have to say the food is EXCELLENT, the decor is wonderful, "cozy corner" is the perfect word to describe it. I wish it was closer to home, and despite the bad attitudes of the employees i'd still come back. But "Sandy", you really need to teach your wait staff how to be friendly to customers! read more

Patrons again at Sandy's Cozy Corner. My husband LVE'S the breakfast here. He's like a kid at the candy store and wants to come back over and over. He ordered the Hungry man special again and enjoyed it. He loves the pancakes and he's very picky with his pancakes. Especially coming from a man who used to be a cook and a manager of an Ihop. They are by far the best. They beat IHOP hands down 100xs. I ordered the Shortstack pancakes with two eggs over medium and Pork Roll. The pancakes were aaaaaamazing... Stopped in for lunch and had a fresh chicken wrap. It came with lots of sides -- vegetables instead of fries (upon request) , Cole slaw and a pickle. I was hungry so I got a bowl of fresh fruit and a cup of Florentine soup. Everything was delicious all around and the service was prompt and friendly. Lots of items on the menu to try for every meal. Top of the heap for diner food. If there's a line, it's worth the wait. We ordered eggs Benedict, garden skillet, chunky monkey pancakes, and pecan waffles. All of us loved our food. The chunky monkey pancakes were so tasty I didn't need to add any syrup at all; just had some whipped cream on top. Service was prompt and friendly. Portions aren't huge, but they are generous. My only complaint is that the juices (orange and pineapple) were a little watery. Wish I lived closer. read more

I took my parents to Sandy's on my birthday as a treat. I had seen it from the road and it looked adorable and I was correct. The kitschy decor and ambiance made it a homey place to have our breakfast. Although it was busy, we were seated quickly at a table. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our food arrived relatively quickly. The place was very clean and my mom was happy about that. (You know moms!) We all enjoyed the trains circling the room above us. Our food was good. My mom got a waffle & my dad got a basic eggs, toast, and hash browns. Both were pleased with their meals and want to return in the future. I had the veggie Benedict for my breakfast. I thought it was good though it didn't wow me. I thought the spinach might have been too spinach-y, and the eggs & sauce weren't runny enough to help the flavor out. Still, I did enjoy the hash browns and the experience. The prices were very reasonable as well, so it was a good bargain. I would recommend this place and hope to return there soon. read more

I just had a dreadful experience here. The owner is rude, rude, rude. As we were trying to rearrange ourselves at our table, around my toddler's highchair, the owner comes charging over like a rhino and snarls that we're blocking the aisle and need to move right away. I actually did calmly express my displeasure on the way out. She was completely unapologetic. I'm sure she h as enough local regulars to feel securely queen of her tacky castle. The food was mediocre. My corned beef was the texture of a dog's chew toy. They never brought my son's drink. They never offered to refill our drinks.
