I could definitely say that Sandy's pub was my favorite dinner place while visiting lake Tahoe. Their burgers were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS the service was really good as well everybody was nice. The only thing I do not like is the some style food quality. Everything else is good! My friends and I visited Lake Tahoe during Thanksgiving time. I am happy that this restaurant still open on Black Friday. As the only open restaurant with main course options, my friends and I chose to visit this one. The waiting time for 11 people (big party) is around 30 minutes. I think it is reasonable for big party without reservation in advance. The service ladies are nice and friendly. I requested a hot water because of the cold/raining weather that day. She kindly provide everyone both iced water and hot water. The food has various choices. We tried buffalo wings, different styles of burgers, two salads, BBQ ribs, salmon and steak. The 4 stars instead of 5 ones is because of the food quality is not very good. All steaks are over cooked. Mine median tastes like median-well. My friend's median-well tastes like totally cooked and it is very hard to chew. On the opposite side, the buffalo wings need a little more time cooking. Probably because of the busy holiday, the cook are too busy to prepare everything perfectly! Both fries and sweet potato fries are delicious. The BBQ ribs are juicy. Highly recommend. I do not have chance to try the salmon, my friend said the favor is good but it is better if the amount could increase a little. Ordered here for the first time while staying at the hotel. I wish I would've known about them sooner! Great service and great food! The ribs were cooked to perfection and the sweet potato fries were good as well. The Mac and cheese wasn't all that great but still edible. The nachos are definitely a full meal for two. It was a marvelous mountain of chips, cheese, chicken, and the best part...the toppings were spread throughout the massive pile of chips so there was enough cheesy goodness for the entire platter. Thank you so much to our bright-eyed and pretty-faced bartender ,Amanda, who was our bartender at the end of our amazing weekend here. Mila give us a great warm welcome before we walked in and then Amanda was not only a wonderful bartender, but she recommended the delicious lamb burger and our pretzel, that we shared as a group of four. AND she ended our weekend with chocolate martinis, which we've been told all weekend they didn't have the ingredients for. My review of Sandy's was about to go down until Amanda served us outstanding service and wonderful drinks and food. Not only was she on top of making sure our water and drinks were refilled, but she gave us totally fun conversation, and was on top of all the current sports/ hockey stats. This our favorite spot to ski to for a late lunch at Squaw. We have spent many afternoons on the patio and inside. Casual and relaxed this is the spot for you. Our group had the fish tacos - fish grilled, tortilla soup and the ahi salad. Everyone was very happy with their lunch. Then it was back on the slopes for a couple more runs. First of all, what an amazing resort! Sandy's Pub is a great asset to this already outstanding establishment. I'm so amazed how friendly the staff is, from the hostess, the waiters/waitresses, and bartenders! If you sit outdoors, it is located in such a nice area of the resort overlooking the beautiful snowy mountains and the pool/hot tub area. Inside is more of a "Pub" setting--bar, tables, big screen TV's. It's kid friendly with a S'mores Pit area and food on the menu that every kid would love. I ordered the white chicken chili with a side of their roasted vegetables, and they did not disappoint. It's probably the best white chili I've had to be honest. The roasted vegetables was a little pricey for the portion, but it was worth it. My meal paired off well with a Moscow Mule, which was served in a cold copper like mug that was cold to the touch. My husbands burger was gigantic! The bread was huge with a moist delicious beef patty embedded in between the wheat bun. Such a nice atmosphere and you can tell the staff love what they do. read more

First time customer. Decided to try out the resort Restaurant after a long day of travel. The service was pretty great and fast overall. We were seated in the back corner of the place since all window tables were taken (first come first serve). Music was weirdly loud the whole time. The food was pretty mediocre, and I am in no way a picky eater. Pretzel was a good appetizer although so buttery it was hard to even get the dipping sauce to stay on it. The fried chicken sandwich was one of the worst I have had. Not much chicken and what was there was not good quality. Seemed to be dark meat as well which wasn't noted anywhere on the menu and I am not a fan of in general. The batter was overcooked and was SO greasy I could not continue to eat the sandwich and my wife gave me one of her chicken tenders. Overall, employees and service was great, food was middle of the road at best. read more

Fun place in a nice resort. I think this used to be Bullwhackers Pub. They cleaned it up a bit and made it a little less "pubby" and a little more family friendly sports bar style. But it's still a great place to hang out after a long day on the slopes or out hiking. A couple of pool tables, big TV's, and the like keep the place moving. Someone told me they have music there of Friday nights, but haven't made it for that. Burgers and sandwiches are pretty big. Salads are good too. And of course a good selection of beer. read more

Good service, friendly staff! A very snowy Christmas Eve and we decided to drop by to get us a bottle of wine and some appetizers until our dinner. It was very easy to get us a spot at the bar, the bartenders were fast at getting our order even thought we needed more time to make our selections. We ended up having us a bottle of Aquinas Cabernet sauvignon and some chile like wings which were really good. Standard straight off the Sysco Truck fare, but well presented. The Crab-Corn soup $10.00 is made by a company called Stockpot, where are they finding fresh corn in March? The meal was very average, service by Buffy was fine. The dining environment is 97 TV screens and unrecognizable very loud music. This of course causes everyone to speak really loud so the space becomes a toxic stew of noise. I found a few minutes of refuse in the men's room where thankfully no music is piped in. We went to resort at squaw creek for my husband's, Devin's birthday, and enjoyed a tasty meal at Sandy's pub. The nachos were delicious and my husband really enjoyed his fish and chips. The best part of the meal was our server Spenser. He was extremely easy going and accommodating with our sometimes difficult needs. He made my husband's birthday special and I appreciated his kindness. He didn't know my husband has leukemia and this was our first time back at Squaw creek since his diagnosis. Came here last night for a girls evening out and we were happy to discover that it was pretty quiet (IE no kids running around out of control). Our waiter was very friendly and the drinks were tasty. I was so excited to see an espresso chocolate martini on the menu - those are so hard to come by! One of us had the nachos (for dinner), another had the mac and cheese and I had the pasta dish. The mac and cheese came in a small pot but it was very filling - it looked so good - if only my friend had let me sample some! The nachos are supposedly incredible (they have fondue cheese on them!) but by the time I finished my bowl of pasta I didn't have it in me to try a nacho before it was removed from the table. Oh well. My pasta was very good although a bit disconcerting due to the pool of olive oil at the bottom. It was otherwise, delicious! None of the desserts caught our eye (although I was intrigued by the fireside s'mores *weather permitting) so that my friends, is where this story ends. read more
