Generous portions, great quality, reasonably priced, fine presentation. Staff was attentive. We had yellowfin tuna tartare, filet mignon spring rolls, seafood risotto, skirt steak chiabatta, mushroom ravioli, and sour cherry cheesecake. They are famous for having 300 whiskeys. We came in for brunch after having made a reservation the night before. It was busy but we were still seated immediately and taken care of right away. Their brunch menu has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options. The two brunch drink for the price of one deal spoke to me, so I had a few bloody marys which were well made and strong. Ambiance wise it's clean and modern looking without being stuffy. My salmon benedict was fresh, hot and delicious with a hefty amount of salmon, which I really appreciated. My daughter brought me here for Mothers Day brunch / lunch. I glanced at the menu prior to arriving and I couldn't wait to try the avocado and filet mignon spring rolls!! They were really good! Definitely not a disappointment! Both the filet mignon and the avocado rolls were exceptionally delicious!! For my main course, I wanted to try the Organic roasted chicken for lunch, but they told us they were only serving brunch that day because it was Mother's Day. I ended up settling for a chicken quesadilla, which was just OK. My daughter got the Prime Bistro breakfast burger, which was just ok as well. The fried egg in the breakfast burger was poached with an extremely runny yoke, which we were not expecting, as the menu said "fried egg" not "poached." :-( Anywho, needless to say it was nothing to write home about. Service wasn't too bad given that it was Mother's Day and slightly busy. In addition, our waitress was friendly and patient. I had ordered and ate a dozen of oysters for my appetizer, hangry steak for my entree which was cooked medium and chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice cream on top for dessert that it tasted really good and delicious. Randomly decided to have lunch here on a Tuesday afternoon. The weather was perfect and gorgeous in Astoria and it was a good time to walk around and get out our comfort zone. The staff at the front greets you right away with a smile. I recommend making a res. There were some seats at the bar, but this place gets packed. I love quirky people. The brunch options are great. I am gluten free and I could have several items on the menu. I got the corn beef with sweet potato skillet without the eggs. I asked for cheese on top. It was scrumptious. I wish the skillet cooked for longer but overall my food was 4 stars. It came with a side salad. You can make your own omelette, that's what my friend got and choose your ingredients. We paid $10 extra for 2 brunch cocktails which was a good value. My friend raved about the Bloody Mary. My Kir Royale was ok. Love that everyplace has kir royales now. Alright, so here's the reason for the 3 stars. We finished our food and paid. We had been there in total a little over an hour and less than and hour and 15 minutes. I asked my friend if she was ready to go but she was finishing up a story and then we needed to use the restroom. Also, our food was digesting. We weren't planning on staying much longer, but the server came over and said people were waiting for our table and to hurry up. It was super rude. I mentioned it to another staff member when I left, they said they would take care of it. I asked if there was a time limit or something and they said no. I don't think slightly over an hour is unreasonable. If I do decide to go back I will sip my drink very slowly so I don't get rushed out. I would be anxious about going back again. I hope it's an isolated incident. I wish I could take back my over 20% tip. I know servers have a rough job but there is no reason for rudeness.
