We ate here last weekend really because there wasn't a whole lot open. COVID is still affecting the downtown but there isn't much you can do. They do have about 1/2 of the tables hence the long wait. The service was terrible until we complained. She took our drink order and 30 minutes later, we still didn't have anything to drink. That's why we complained. Afterwards, service got much better but first impressions count. I ordered the shrimp dinner and although there was tons of food, the oil temp must have been off because it was doughy on the inside. Even the roll was deep fried and quite frankly, it was way too much. My daughter had the fried egg burger with the grilled cheese bun. She liked it but it was way too much food. My husband had the smothered burger and he said it was good but there weren't any healthy options. Bottom line if you're looking for garbage food at an ok price but terrible service, stop on in. 2 stars because the milkshake was amazing and they held our table even while we wandered trying to kill 45 minutes and were gone longer. Unbelievable amount of cute stuff on every square inch of wall and ceiling. The food is not only good, but there's a ton of it, and you get a good value too. You can go somewhere else and get half as much food for what you are paying here. Oh and I have never met a grumpy person who works for Sanford's, they are always nice and will refill your drink with a smile. They have recently added some casino type games, which is weird, but somehow it works. I won $6! This is my #1 go to spot in Cheyenne. read more

So glad we came here! Absolutely enormous menu, so we asked the server for recommendations and she did not disappoint! I ordered a Reuben with turkey instead of corned beef and it was stellar! Super good turkey, it was almost like a buffalo turkey - yum! I got garlic Parmesan fries with my meal and they were loaded with deliciousness. My fiancé ordered the chicken popper sandwich and it was delicious! He got sweet potato fries served with a cinnamon sugar butter and we ended up eating them as dessert - so good! He also got a Bloody Mary which was not the greatest and the price was high for it - this is why the review is a 4 star rather than a 5 star review. Not attentive to customer needs. The wait staff tried to seat our family in the bar at a high top table after we let them know we had 3 young children with us. They even brought a booster seat to a high top table! It was a 30 minute wait, but we decided to leave. Would NOT recommend for families. read more

Wonderful first time here! The wait ended up being shorter than quoted but it was probably still around 30 minutes. I got the spinach dip and potato skins. The spin dip was good but the potato skins I'd pass on. The cocktails are fun too! If you're looking for a chill place on a Friday night for some dinner and drinks, it's a go. I do not recommend take out. This place is the Wyoming version of cheesecake factory. Soooo much food. soooo many options. sooo many drinks. The burgers basically come standard with a pound of mayo, onion rings, and bacon. The beers come in massive goblets. The environment is cool and there's something to look at in every corner! It feels like a 50s diner with all the memorabilia. Our waiter was friendly and cool. Neat eclectic decor inside. Server was pleasant and attentive, given it was a crowded Saturday evening. We were provided with side-by-side seating in the raised bar-top area after a 45 min. wait. Spouse enjoyed a House of Voodoo Tips dinner (beef tips in cream sauce with garlic mashed potatoes) with a Volcanic Eruption bar drink. I tried the house special Chicken and Waffles (fresh sautéed jalapeños with a raspberry sauce and glaze a white icing drizzle on waffles). The waffles were extremely rich and became overly sweet without any heat from jalapeños several bites in. If one has a big sweet tooth - this meal will hit the spot. We also ordered a side of the jalapeño hushpuppies - again jalapeños weren't noticeable, but typical hushpuppies for those that enjoy them. Sat at bar. It was happy hour, and it's a dollar or two off everything. The beer isn't the coldest but they have so much to pick from. The bartender who was getting off shift still helped us and was very friendly knowing he wasn't getting our gratuity. He had good advice about beer and good banter. The other bartenders who took over were very nice, and prompt. We ordered a brisket sandwich which they kindly split and provided extra plates for. There are many hot sauce options at arms reach. For all the people only rating this restaurant terribly because of their non-enforcement of masks like that nothing prevents you of wearing one of you so choose or stay home for that matter. Sanford's is like that trashy restaurant everyone loves. It's my go to pregame place. I either get the Rocky Mountain blues steak or the chicken cordon blue sandwich. I always get there fried pickles and the purple haze. I've never had bad service from anyone but the hosts. Most of them appear to be children so I don't hold it against them but gosh there's this one older lady that often stands at the host stand and she's rude, will ignore you, has hung up the phone on my husband and I for asking how long the wait is, and will seat waiting guests out of order in a way that can't be explained. read more

This is such a great addition to Cheyenne and I love coming here! The menu is the biggest most diverse menu you have or will ever see. I love how I can get something totally different every time I come. The portions of food at lunch and dinner are huge. You will be eating Sanfords for days...but the bill doesn't make you faint. So reasonably priced! Everything we have had here is well made, flavorful, and quality food. We did once get imitation crab on accident but upon checking the menu it did say "krab" so just be aware. As you can imagine it is usually very busy, even at lunch. So prepare for a wait at dinner! Cant wait to visit this fun little joint again! read more

It was a really busy night in Cheyenne so I can forgive the 1 hr wait time to get a table. We sat down and ordered drinks and appetizers which came out promptly. Ordered dinner, nothing crazy or fancy and then waited 1 hr and 15 min for the food. When it showed, it was wrong and quality was mediocre at best.
