These are really delicious and a wonderful introduction to Indian food. Our foods started with an order of split Vegetable and Chicken Momo dumplings that were marinated in Nepali spices stuffed in flour wrapped and steamed and served with a special chutney. For our friends' main course, they split a Chicken Tikka Masala, which was boneless white meat chicken cooked with onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. They also ordered Naan - the traditional unleavened white bread. My husband had his favorite, the Tandoori Shrimp. It was a very generous portion of jumbo shrimp marinated in an herb mixture and delicately broiled in our tandoori clay oven served with mixed vegetables. This came out sizzling. This came with a side of spinach that was more like a creamed spinach. It was the best we have ever tasted! It was creamy with the best seasoning. I decided to try something new and ordered the Chicken Pista Korma which was White meat chicken simmered in a mild pistachio sauce. I would have like smaller pieces of chicken, but the sauce was delicate and delicious. All of our entrees came with basmati rice. We came in a bit later on a Saturday evening and there were only a few tables. The World Cup was on and once the game started our waiter disappeared. I had to get up and search out staff to get plates cleared, get containers to go and pay my bill. The food was nothing special. Not bad but not worth returning for. I thought the quality of the food was average at best. I am not Indian so I am far from knowledgeable on Indian cooking however the Indian American family sitting adjacent to us had sent their meal back as and seemed disappointed as well. When we left my wife and I discussed the place and both felt the place had no manager and no one running the store and lacked any passion. None of the options are bland and appeared to be freshly made. What's amazing is that they offer mango lassis as part of the buffet. I'd never seen that but I'm quite impressed. Today we had an absolutely wonderful experience with their lunch buffet. The food was very yummy and in good variety, [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is nice and cozy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but what impressed me the most is their attentive and very accomodating service. I asked about Momo served in the soup (Johl) which wasn't in the menu and they were very nice to cook it this way for me. Usually I meet a refusal to accommodate my asking. We met friends for dinner to introduce them to this new restaurant. Both Ali and Laxman, our servers, were so friendly and attentive to our every need. Our friends started out with Masala French Fries - a generous portion of fries with a masala seasoning - very interesting and different. We ate them all up! For their dinners, they chose the Chicken Tikka Masala with basmati rice and Chicken Tikka with basmati rice and creamed spinach. My wife decided to try something new and had the Lamb Bhuna with basmati rice, and I had the Tandoori Shrimp with basmati rice and creamed spinach. You can request the heat of your dish - we chose mild. One thing is for sure, you will not leave this restaurant hungry - you will have some of your dinner to take home. I had 10 large size shrimp in my dinner. My wife's dinner was a little spicier than she liked. Ali immediately said that they would cook her another one. This was a different experience than I have had with other restaurants serving Indian cuisine. The Curry Chicken was tasty and as requested, had the right amount of heat. The presentation of the dishes we ordered was appealing. The wait staff were courteous and attentive. One showed beautiful images of what I presumed was India and Nepal while the other showed interesting and colorful yet strange sea creatures[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The garlic na'an was ok.... very thin but tasty. I liked that the cooks were not shy about the garlic. The rice that came with our meal was delicious. One of our party ordered the sampler. That was quite flavorful and we all enjoyed it. The Veggie Momos were good but also had a little bit of an unpleasant aftertaste, like a freezer burn. The sauces were flavorful and complimented our meals. For instance, there was a yogurt cucumber dipping sauce that was particularly delicious and refreshing. The lentils were also quite delicious. This experience had a balanced mixture of definite pros and some soft cons.
