All the positive reviews are accurate. First, I arrived before opening and he was already with his first customer. He greeted me and directed me to a parking space to wait my turn. He was really kind, motioning me inside and ensuring I got a nice cold bottle of water. As he opened earlier than posted, I was tickled when he made a point to fill the coffee candy dish as customers began to arrive behind me. The service was very fast and the place is quite clean. I came in just a couple minutes after his shop opened. I was surprised to see another customer already there. I was even more surprised that he was already finishing up with that one. I was in and out in about 20-25 minutes. It took him about 15 minutes to work on my car. He also gave me a cold bottle of water. He was very pleasant and welcoming, like he really cared about his customers and his business. Shook my hand when I first walked in and as I left. I also called around and found his shop to be the least expensive in the area. I hope to never need another smog check soon, but if I do, I'll definitely go back here. Highly recommended. read more

Called ahead to get a quote on my '92 Toyota 22RE pickup truck. He gave me a straight answer and a very fair price over the phone. When I showed up, he was very nice, greeted me with a smile, grabbed me a water from his mini fridge, told me to sit anywhere I like and enjoy some entertaining TV (Jerry Springer) while I waited. He had a few cars ahead of mine and even offered to show me where I could charge my phone if needed. Once it was my turn, he explained everything he was doing and why. He was happy to show me how his computer diagnostics machine tested stuff. He was VERY transparent. I passed smog, payed him the price he quoted without any bait and switch and it also included tax. Smog test are one of the many annoying things about living in California and I usually dread the smog check but Sang's is always very nice, professional and provides a cold water white you wait. I've been using Sang's Smog for years (back when it was at its old location and at its new one), driving about 17 miles to get here. Lee is a wonderful man who gets your car done as soon as possible (usually 20 minutes or less). He has a nice little area for you to sit, peruse current magazines of all sorts, and gives you an ice cold bottle of water as soon as you arrive.
