I have been to the typical smog check places in my car ownership history. So, why five stars for Sang's? First of all, the owner is so nice, you want to patronize shops like these. Secondly, this is the cleanest Smog Check place I have ever been. No waiting, and the owner had a great waiting area and I was provided with a nice cold bottle of water for my short wait. Went in this morning for a smog check on my 2002 Acura RSX type-S with 276,908 original miles. There was one person ahead of me; so I waited in the waiting room of the garage. Sang was very nice and offered me a cold bottled water. I was deathly afraid that my *Dirt Broke* mobile wouldn't pass smog because of the mileage. When it came my turn; Sang didn't even need to hook the car up to any emissions device. That's because the DMV now uses a new smog check system. Gone are the days of where the smog check technician had to stick a probe into your exhaust pipe; get into your car and rev the engine at various Rpms to get a reading. I was ecstatic and relieved when Sang told me my Dirtbroke mobile had *passed* with flying colors. I was sweating bullets. The total price I paid for the smog check was $45.00 OTD. I know nothing about vehicles. Any mechanic could get me to buy anything if I need to for my car and that sucks... but here I feel very comfortable that I am receiving the best service possible.
