    Grilled Salmon Salad Entree

Fast casual sushi? Yes please! First things first, crispy rice is the move here! Perfect balance of flavors and textures, can't go wrong getting it! As for our honorable mentions, we enjoyed the crunch scallop roll ( big pieces of scallops and yes we like cream cheese in our rolls), steak plate (tender meat and flavorful teriyaki sauce), and the salmon nigiri (so buttery ). They have so many eats to choose from, just their salad bar alone will have you wanting to try it all. So if y'all are looking for a quick and healthier option for fast casual dining, this the spot! Friendly staff, nice interior, ample parking and some tasty eats, it's a 3.5/5 for me Happy eats, loves!! ^_^

Sansai (山菜) is Japanese meaning "mountain vegetables", originally referring to vegetables that grew naturally, were foraged in the wild, and not grown and harvested from fields. They don't serve mountain vegetables here, but do have lots of salads. This is also one of my aunt's favorite places to eat. She loves the California rolls with chicken and salad. On this visit, we had that and an order of the Steak and Salmon with salad. I wasn't very hungry, so between the three of us we shared the two entrees. Service was friendly.

I've been here before and today I came back because my daughter craving for Sashimi so I ordered sashimi salad. The Fish is spicyly good but the salad my daughter dont like it and when she asked me to try... I think the onion ( smelled sour and funky taste ). That's why I gave 3 but the Service was fast and the ambiance is okay not so spacious but good enough for family to dine in. Maybe next time I will ordered no onion.

Great Japanese inspired food and Hawaiian food. They give large portion. Every upgrade to large combo seems worth it. Salmon grill was very good. Dumpling soup was quite Americanized but it's still delicious. Sushi comes in a really large bite! I somehow got the idea from the Japanese words written in the restaurant that this would be pretty authentic. They're actually very delicious and flavorful but a bit far from being authentic.

Great food. Price, though, was a bit expensive lol. I believe it came out to be about $26 and I don't think the portions are worth $26. The veggie skewer wasn't too bad. I'm not a fan of vegetables so idk lol. Mushrooms though? Omg I LOVE mushrooms. I ordered online, so I didn't see an option to pick solely mushrooms, but maybe in-person you can request just mushrooms. Steak was cut into nice, thin strips. Shrimp was tail-on, which is great because I think tail-on adds some "fanciness" somewhat. I ordered the Miso soup on the side because I don't know what the salads were and I'm not much of a salad person. Soup was very light, not too salty, and it had seaweed (I think) and tofu (i think). Personally, I wasn't a fan of the soup. The place seems chill. There's booths if you want to dine-in and tables, which were mostly empty.

I recently visited for a late lunch and found it to be a perfectly decent spot for a freshly-prepared quick-eats Japanese-style meal. The parking lot has plenty of parking spots in front of the restaurant, but it can get crowded around meal times. I ordered the spicy chicken bowl, which comes with a side. For this trip, I selected the kale salad and wasn't disappointed. I found the portions to be about what I would expect for the price. Still, there are other places in the South Bay that serve the same type of food and have better value. All in all, the food was tasty and I would return if I didn't have much time to eat and wanted to have a Japanese-style meal.

Process Katsu chicken yuck! Don't order this. Might as well go to McDonald's for chicken nuggets.

They have a variety of lunch specials, including a sashimi combo meal with 8 pieces, salad, rice, and choice of a side. So good. My sons ordered a sushi lunch combo, tempura kids meal, and some gyoza/soft shell crab -- all delicious. As a treat we also ordered the A5 Wagyu (which they allowed us to order for lunch). It was prepared table side and was just incredible. Our server Kelly was amazing! Loved her great recommendations, and she constantly checked in with us. Her German/Ecuadorian heritage coincided with an upcoming World Cup match, so having her as our server was extremely fortuitous. The restaurant ambiance is simple yet welcoming along the main road. Parking was a little crowded but we found street parking not far away. I love how they have a waitlist and how food came out really quickly. They have their own special soy sauce recipe! We ordered some takeout food on the side and Kelly was on top of it all. Thanks to Kelly, the delicious food and fast service, this place is exceptional and gets high marks for me. I highly recommend checking out this place.

Parking was okay; I was able to easily find a parking spot and she took a little bit longer to find a parking spot. I was very hungry so I ordered kind of a lot of food: the shrimp tempura, the shishito peppers, a crunch roll with shrimp, and a vegan vegetable roll. Everything I ordered was actually really good. The main issue that I had was that there were a lot of flies in the restaurant. There were a lot of small flies but also the big kind of flies that fly around and that made the meal a little bit unpleasant. The servers were super friendly and attentive and the meal was otherwise good. I'm not sure if I'll come back because of the whole fly situation but at least the food was good

They have a self-order kiosk, and our food was ready in about 10 minutes. My husband and I shared an avocado salmon roll, scallop sushi, albacore sushi, and a tempura roll. Unfortunately, everything tasted really bland even with soy sauce, maybe they don't season their sushi rice? For us, this is a one-and-done spot.

The fish is always incredibly fresh, with clean flavors and generous cuts that don't feel skimpy like some other takeout spots. Their rolls are well-balanced (not overloaded with rice), and everything tastes like it was made with real care--even when you're just grabbing a quick order to go. What really sets Yanagi Kitchen apart is how reliable they are. Whether it's a simple sashimi combo or a full spread of rolls, the quality never dips. The presentation is great for takeout too, which is a nice bonus. Service is fast, staff is friendly, and orders are always accurate. It's become my go-to whenever I'm craving sushi without the dine-in fuss. Highly recommend--this place is a South Bay gem.

Today, we all gathered as a family to have a dinner at the house for my wife's birthday and our grownup children requested us to order food from here. I have noticed that a lot of the food we ordered and ate, which we have had before have really changed in quality and leveled down in terms of taste and flavors. Definitely went down from how we remember them from before. I ordered some crunch rolls and yellowtail collar and I am definitely sure they were not fresh. The yellowtail collar was hard to bite into and chew and surely pales compared to tjaoe that can be ordered from other Japanese restaurants within gardena. The crunch rolls was dry and lacked good taste and flavor and the salmon in it seemed to have turned powdery in the mouth once I started chewing them. The other members of the family who ordered other items all dis not finish their foods, but did not tell me why. But I'm guessing they did not really like them so I just had to throw them all away after they left. We ordered almost $300 worth of food tonight so next time we do this, we would probably be better off ordering from a lot of other better and authentic Japanese restaurants around gardena where we know food and ingredients are much fresh and delicious, unless Crazy Rock n Sushi step up their game again.

What is amazing is that each visit seems to be better than last, I don't know how chef Daniel does it. I love chef Daniel and his team. Currently, his sister Annie is working the service, and she is so friendly and nice. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. I started frequenting omakase back when it was cool for the chefs to be "sushi Nazi", unfriendly and aloof, and chef Daniel is the extreme opposite. As for the food... amazing! The courses are similar, starting with appetizers, then nigiri items, and ending with dessert. Some of my favorite items are the mackerel sando (mackerel in home made bread, delish), Jeju abalone with sauce made from its innards, yaki-tamago dessert, beautiful Meiji tofu with dashi broth, I could go on and on. I've had many abalone in my lifetime, but the abalone here is the best I've ever had. He usually has seasonal fish that is limited in availability, and it's such a treat to be able to experience such variety of items. Chef Daniel is also very informative about every course and I learn something new every time, so it makes the dining experience even more special. I highly recommend Sushi Sonagi, Free parking in the lot and reservation is through Tock. Enjoy!
