    Vegan ramen

The vegan ramen was okay, but the noodles were a bit undercooked. The vegetables and tofu were quite basic, and the tofu wasn't fried or anything special. Also, it was quite cold inside.

Loved this spot! We ordered the combo meal ramen with chicken karaage for just $20+, which is a great deal especially in the Manhattan Village area. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. Service was quick and friendly, and the space has a clean, modern vibe. Definitely coming back!

Service is good, location is noisy so talking and hearing was a bit difficult. Party of 6 $180 with tax and tip for lunch. Food was good, spicy tuna roll was as expected. Chicken Karagee bowl with curry was filling but curry lack spice. Shoyu on fire ramen, extra spicy was very mild. Food was good, was unable to tell the difference between no spice and extra spick on ramen. Sodas come in a can so no refills. Price was as expected. Worth another visit to try some there dishes.

Came in and was directly seated. We got chicken karaage, edemame, and the garlic truffle ramen. Karaage was very good and crunchy, edemame was okay a little bit salty, and the ramen wasn't as hot as I wanted it to be. Pork was really tender but noodles and the broth were okay for me. The noodles was not as hot. Cute and clean place. The staff was really attentive and paid attention to detail asking us if everything was okay. They have a lot of outside and inside seating as well.

Was looking for something to eat after 9 pm in the South Bay and realized this place was right in my backyard! The ramen was delicious, one bowl was enough for a meal to go the next day. Even though it was toward the end of the night, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a patio outside I would love to come back and enjoy an afternoon in Manhattan Village and try their other items!

Silverlake Ramen... don't underestimate nor overestimate it or the area. I've been shocked by the fact that so many times it's rather empty, which is NOT a reflection of the popularity or quality in my opinion. It's a benefit to me to get seated quickly and due to the nature of what ramen is (pre-coooked soup and freshly prepared noodles), it's fast and you can get in and out within 30 minutes of seating to paying. Maybe because it's in Manhattan Village and is niche Japanese Soup Noodles that it's possibly not as popular for the area. It's a great place to eat. You can get a fulfilling combo of ramen with a side for $20, so after tax and tip you're paying like $25-30 or so. They do have a rewards program too for frequent diners.

The Baseline: For a ramen restaurant the noodles must be fresh, cooked with consistency in firmness, broth must be tasty with good body, accompaniment additions must match with the style, and the plating must work for the ramen presentation/function. Food: The ramen here is really the thing to come for. Tonight I opted on the Chicken Karaage Curry Rice Bowl which was good with a spice level that was enjoyable, but there was no pickled ginger condiment to be added. I had to order a side of pickled onion ($1.75) so I had something to cut the fat of the curry base. All curry dishes need a pickled condiment option. The Classic Tonkotsu Ramen was great as always with good noodle pull and tasty broth and ordered as a combo with a Chicken Karaage appetizer that has a nice mayo based dipping sauce. Very enjoyable. The Rice Pork Bowl was also very good and was a good option for a smaller appetite with a great price ($8.75 for a small). I also had the Spicy Garlic Edamame which was addictive. Love the Edamame! Service: Efficient service in taking my order and serving the food. Everything was accurate. Didn't need to ask for water but there was no refill of water without asking which should be a must in a place that has spicy items on the menu. It felt short staffed on the night I went so there is a level of patron understanding given here. Ambiance: Very hip, modern design for a ramen joint. The tables and seating area was clean. The bathroom was clean for the level of traffic ration this location produces.

I haven't been here in a while but the service we received was not good but neither bad as well. The server we got maybe was new but he made a couple mistakes throughout the time we were at Silverlake Ramen. Previous experiences have been better. As always the food came out quick and the food and its quality is great. The creamy broccolini is delicious and is my favorite thing to get here.

Food: 5/5 Ordered the blaze ramen bowl plus our server gave a sample of the ghost pepper kimchi. The ramen was very tasty, the flavor was spicy and meaty. The pork was absolutely delicious! The kimchi was very spicy, it completely brought the whole dish together. Im a chili head so, for most people this is at least a 9/10 spice level. Service: 5/5 Extremely quick, nice, inviting. Stellar team! Ambiance: 5/5 Very clean, modern, lots of seating including outside seats as well. There's a parking structure, so driving here is simple.

Silverlake ramen continues to exceed expectations. From the lovely service, to the clean tables, and deliciously fresh food!! I also love how they have the combo so I always get that. We got to sit outside which was just lovely! It got cold but the warmth of the food definitely helped to warm us. Parking was a tad tricky but it was worth it because after dinner we got to walk around and see the stores nearby. It didn't feel like we just went to eat, we made the most out of our dinner night out.

I love this place, I always get the classic with pork and it never disappoints, the broccolini is delicious too Our server Brett was extremely friendly and helpful, making suggestions and accommodating us in everything we wanted! Great guy

This place is my favorite place for Ramen. I like the spicy Tonkotsu with clear broth which is very flavorful. The wait is not that long which is great. The staffs are friendly.

My one small "complaint" is that I found the seat/stool to be a bit uncomfortable. The food and service was very good. We had: Crispy Chicken (5/5) - Their version of chicken karaage. Very flavorfully seasoned and perfectly fried. I thought the dipping sauce was delicious as well. Shoyu Ramen (4.5/5) - This is what I had. Really good version of shoyu (but based off chicken broth) ramen. I had the thick noodles which is a bit thicker than the traditional ramen noodles. Portion size - lots of broth, could have used a bit more noodles. Tonkatsu - This is what my daughter had. She said it was very good, one of her favorites. A bit pricey for ramen, but I guess it's to be expected nowadays in LA. The bill includes a 17.5% service charge (which is stated on the menu) but the server also made sure we were aware of this before we ordered. The menu is a bit limited (3 types of ramen) but what we had was very good.

It wasn't overly priced but it would have been nice to have more than that.

The food was actually quite good. We both had a bowl of the Black Devil ramen at a spice level of 4. I was worried that this would be too much but it was actually a very manageable level of spice. The type of spice where I can still enjoy my food and not have to worry about eating it through hiccups or anything like that. I also had a side of the spicy katsu cutlet, which I also enjoyed very much. They brought me one big piece of chicken katsu and some scissors to cut it up, which I thought was neat. But every bite I had was wonderful, as it was clearly fried to perfection. The service was also on point and our server even let us try some of their devil sauce ( I do not remember if this was what it was called but it sure was spicy). A few drops of this in my bowl of ramen and I began to sweat profusely. She said barely anyone ever orders it and I can totally see why haha. She was also super nice to us and overall provided some excellent service, I did not quite catch her name. The interior of this place also feels quite small, but it is well ventilated. Just be mindful if you get up and walk around because there are people eating to your left and right.
