It's been a Minute since I've been to Bittina. Remembering the days when Danielle was raising her family at 106 W Mason Street and managing Bittina. The 106 group would make our presence known at Bittina. Danielle and her family moved away and now their back and Danielle is back at the Helm. Amy Amanda and myself decided to celebrate Amy's Graduation and Birthday what a wonderful experience. Although Danielle was not working she made her presence known with a wonderful appetizer and a loaf of Amazing Sourdough bread we shared a variety of wonderful dishes. I forgot how Amazing the food was. Our server was on point answering our questions as we made our food selection, her recommendations were spot on. To see Bittina continue to thrive throughout the years is a Blessing to the Foodies in our Community. I will be back. Thanks Ronnie S

Ordered the burrata with roasted peaches as well as the meatballs. Would get the meatballs again but not the burrata. I don't think this place is necessarily my cup of tea, but it's not bad either. I enjoyed the ambience and interior, but service in terms of making sure we had water could've been better. Especially since the water cups are very tiny, and you aren't provided with a bottle to refill yourself.

Oh Bettina, how I LOVE you. Listen, this pizza is the best pizza I have had and once you try it you will understand why. Everything is made from scratch with ingredients from local farmers markets in SB. (I know this bc I've been following them on Instagram for so long). Their Caesar Salad, to die for. Spicy pep, regular pep, Margherita pizza all to die for. Service is always great, owners are active within their staff. The ambiance this little place creates is beautiful. Great spot in Montecito!!

LOVED the pizza. We got the cauliflower and seasonal peach pizzas. The crust was perfect, crispy with the right amount of chew. Passed the slice pick up test, no floppiness/sogginess. Toppings worked together well for each pizza. Prompt service. Nice combination of indoor and heated outdoor seating. Ample parking since it's inside Montecito Country Mart.

We love Bettina! Every time we are visiting Montecito/Santa Barbara we stop by. Zinzan (super cool Australian name right?!) was very friendly and set us up at a beautiful table with a heating lamp and provided great dinner suggestions. Our server Eddie was smooth with our orders and provided additional suggestions for a vegetarian at our table that we all enjoyed. They were both very friendly and the service was amazing. Your table enjoyed the fresh bread with the cultured butter that was absolutely delicious. We ordered two of the Mafaldine pastas, with even for non-anchovies lovers this pasta was divine. The lamb ragu was a big hit. And the casitas valley sausage pizza was incredibly fresh and enjoyable. For dessert we enjoyed the olive oil cake which was very moist and yummy and the chocolate chip cookie that had a smooth touch of flakey sea salt! Everything was sooooo good! Looking forward to our next adventure at Bettina's!

Loved Bettina x3 and would be back in an instance and also recommend others visit. The four leaf clover was on our side cause we managed to get seated on a Friday night at prime dinner time without a reservation. The host staff was accommodating and friendly. Our small party of 2 was seated at the pizza counter which was an experience in itself. Our server, bummed I don't recall her name, was extremely friendly, present, and accessible. Ordered a cacio e pepe arancini, beet and burrata salad, and pepperoni pizza. All three items were served in a timely manner and tasted really good! The pepperoni pizza was a bit soggy towards the center but flavor was on point. The cacio e pepe arancini was yummy but could have used a tad more dipping sauce. The salad was great. The restaurant atmosphere is lively, vibrant, and an ideal space to engage in conversation. If you're looking for an enjoyable pizza and pasta experience when in the Montecito / Santa Barbara area, Bettina is your best bet.

Wow! First time to Santa Barbara and I already want to go back for this pizza. We actually got one to do on our way home. The salad dressing is amazing I even bought a bottle from their other location "Tina". The pizza was crispy light and airy super fresh. They have indoor and outdoor seating, very cute and date night ambiance. Food came out pretty quickly. We sat at the bar and seated quickly without a wait. We were unable to get a reservation.

We ended up going to Bettina two days in a row during our weekend trip in SB. We enjoyed everything we ordered but their pizzas are worth the visit. It was also nice to sit out in the courtyard.

Great food great vibes. Ordered pepperoni pizza and added mushroom which was fresh crispy and delicious. Love the fact that they have a wooden oven. Cesar salad was really good and was crunchy. The dressing was great. Got a side of olives and it was a great addition. They are very busy and it's better to have a reservation. We didn't have a reservation in middle of the week but we were seated at the bar. Definitely recommended. Also they have been on Michelins guide for two years

Diners like this restaurant's delicious wood-fired pizzas, especially the seasonal and pepperoni options, and highlight the fresh ingredients and flavorful crust. They also mention the excellent Caesar salad, tasty pasta dishes, and creative cocktails. Guests appreciate the welcoming staff, great service, and pleasant atmosphere, recommending reservations due to its popularity. Well recommended for family and friends 10/10

4 stars for my experience and was my first time. Small place located in a unique boutique style shopping center. The service was nice and inviting but I have to say as the only negative they need more service help for the outside tables. The Caesar salad was unique yet very good. The pepperoni.pizza was very good. The pizza was very thin and had great robust flavor profiles. Aka tomato sauce and pepperoni's. The honey and chili oil was definitely a nice touch. The restaurant supposedly has a Michelin bib award. It was good but I wouldn't rate it yet in that category as there are small nuances that need addressing. A few our plates had chips all over them and the tables seemed somewhat not that great especially outside on the rocks. Overall a good experience

**September 2025: Friday Night Visit** My friend and I were planning a mini getaway and I knew that Bettina had to be on our list of restaurants to try as it was both a multi-time Bib Gourmand recipient and listed in the best "101 Best Restaurants in LA." I read that it does get really busy and unfortunately there weren't any reservations available at the time, so my friend and I chanced it and hoped that we'd be able to snag a seat - thankfully at 5:30pm we were lucky to get 2 spots at the bar. I dine out semi-regularly and it was packed! Every table had customers and pretty much at least one pie at the center. We decided to try one of their seasonal pies (Pear and Red Onions) since the salty and sweet combination sounded really appealing. We also ordered a Caesar Salad as our greens and a home-made meatball since everything was vegetarian up until that. The meatball sort of had a loose meatloaf texture, which I didn't mind since it was still flavorful and tender and the Cesar Salad was a solid salad. The pie on the other hand was a knockout star. The dough had a nice chew to it and the flavors on top just all worked so well together. Had we not stuffed ourselves with the appetizers we probably would have definitely ordered a second pie. Of the 4 meals we had on this trip this meal was our absolute favorite. We will definitely be back and will order all pies! Bettina is absolutely worthy of all the recognition and praise! Two thumbs up!

Love, love love pizza. And now I love, love love Bettina! Ended up here dinner time on a Friday. No reservations available but my friend and I decided to just walk in and take our chances. Maybe should have bought a lottery ticket that night too - because we waited didn't wait long at all. We ended up sitting at the bar where there service was top notch. Knowledge about the history of the restaurant, the ingredients of the dishes and just friendly and nice overall. See pics of what my friend and I shared - I'll say that I enjoyed the meatballs and salad, but I loved the pizza. The crust was tender and light, slight char, not burned and airy and easy to bite into. Loved how the mix of toppings (pears, red onions, caramelized onions) all just gave the pie a fresh, and both sweet and savory flavor in each bite. If I didn't have reservations somewhere else the next night, I would have considered going back for more. Guess it'll just have to be on my next visit to the Santa Barbara area. FYI - parking was in the shopping plaza. Free but looks like it can get packed - at least it was on a Friday at dinner. And I highly recommend making reservations.

Is the number listed the one to make a reservation? Tried calling last couple of days without luck. Do they allow walk ins with a wait time? We are traveling from out of state so want to get an idea before heading there.

Is the lunch and dinner menu the same? For those who have dined here and ordered multiple pizzas…

Hi! Yes, at dinner we have a selection of 3 pastas available. At lunch we don't offer pastas but we always have a delicious sandwich option. Everything else is pretty much the same. Pepperoni and mushroom are out best sellers!

Do you have a gluten free crust?

Yes -- they make their own in-house. It's a little harder / chewier than the normal one but you could hardly tell the difference between the two.

    Is it kid friendly?

yes! but definitely a calm setting. If you kid can be quiet and respectful of people doing their work and homework, then yes.

I heard that you are now requiring vaccine passports to dine at your restaurant. Is this correct?

No we are not requiring vaccine cards.

Do you allow dogs on the patio?

    Yes we do! :)

What size are these pizzas? If you could estimate, how many people would one feed?

if you are only having pizza 1 is okay for two people. Better if you get a side or salad. We got two for two people, no sides and still had 1/2 a pizza left. So good you'll want to keep eating though

    Do they do take out?

    Yes!

For my entree, I ordered the Costolette d'Angello alla Griglia, the grilled lamb chops served with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The lamb was okay, but it arrived more warm than hot and the accompanying mashed potatoes were a disappointment. They arrived noticeably cold in the center, giving the impression that they had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. Unfortunately, those temperature inconsistencies distracted from the dish and even made me question whether everything had been plated and served at its best. The lamb chops were okay overall, but the execution left something to be desired. I also tried the Linguine con Vongole (clam pasta). The flavors were fine and the dish was enjoyable enough, but diners should be aware that there were some broken shell fragments and bits of sand mixed in with the clams. While that can occasionally happen with shellfish dishes, it was noticeable enough that I found myself eating a little more cautiously than I would have liked. One aspect of the restaurant that stood out was the atmosphere. The environment has a distinctive character and personality that makes it feel different from many of the other dining options in SB. It certainly adds to the overall experience. The service was somewhat slow during my visit, though the staff remained friendly and courteous throughout the evening. Overall, this place offered an interesting atmosphere and friendly service, but the food execution felt inconsistent. Between the warm lamb, cold mashed potatoes, and shell fragments in the linguine, the meal didn't quite meet expectations. There's potential here, but a little more attention to detail in the kitchen would go a long way.

I don't come very often but was shocked how much prices have gone up since last time here. Appetizers $18 to $25 +. Pasta's $27 to $39+ and anything with meat $36 to $55+. Add a couple drinks and you better contact your banker. The food quality does not match the price hike. The food is just okay and some dishes lack flavor, (pretty bland). Only one of our pasta dishes out of six had a great flavor with a little pizzass. We really enjoyed the special caparelli pasta. The sauce had great flavor and a little kick. Now if they could add a little flavor to the rest of the entrees. As far as service: friendly service and quite attentive with a few hiccups. Brought our bread, drinks and in timely manner but we had no table wear, napkins or sharing plates available. They never did bring any spoons even when served a saucy appetizer, or spaghetti. We had to request these items. Four at our table were served their entree but two of us had to finally ask for our entree after waiting quite awhile. Even though they did come and ask if there was anything else when we asked for crushed red peppers and olive oil it took a substantial time to bring them. This always makes the experience less enjoyable. Not sure if I could recommend coming here again. However the ambience is pleasing and they can accommodate large groups, which is nice. A 5 star for environment. Just wish the food was better quality, then the price would be worth it. Also I do need to add 5 stars for the dessert. Our granddaughters chose Arnoldi's version of spumoni dessert and it was a hit. Awesome appearance and plating with a delicious mix of flavors. The chocolate coating was excellent. I thought I must've been in Napoli. I was with some friends because we were on our way to a performance (I am a musician) and we were in a hurry. The waiter accommodated us and the pizza came out in under 10 minutes, I believe. The atmosphere is simple but nice. I was surprised that it wasn't more busy on a Friday night. I am telling you, this was fantastic pizza. I cannot wait to go back and to try some of the pasta.

We had such a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Our waiter was attentive and checked in on us regularly while still giving us plenty of space to enjoy our food and conversation. We sat outside, which I highly recommend if the weather is nice. Even though the restaurant was busy, the atmosphere felt intimate and romantic. We ordered two tapas, two cocktails, and the paella, and we were completely stuffed! We ended up taking quite a bit of the paella home, and thankfully, it was just as delicious reheated the next day. We actually wanted to come back again the following night, but decided to save it for another special celebration when we visit Santa Barbara again. One of the sweetest touches was that they gave us a postcard with a handwritten message- it was such a thoughtful little detail that made the experience feel even more special. Definitely recommend for a date night, but I could also see this being such a fun spot to experience with a group of friends. We'll absolutely be back next time we're in Santa Barbara!

Paired with a bottle of Rioja, every bite and every sip brought a little taste of Spain to the night. Great food, flowing wine, plenty of laughter, and even better company. ¡Salud! and service was spectacular.

FOOD & DRINK - A large list of Italian favorites, many of them with the chef's spin on them. Everyone at the table in our party of five enjoyed what they had. The cocktails were also good. The wine list was short, but I could find what we wanted to have from it. SERVICE: Our waiter was friendly, funny, read the table well, and always showed up just when we wanted him. Dinner was served in a timely fashion -- almost too timely, as we'd ordered cocktails first, and were still working on them by the time entrees arrive, alongside the bottle of wine we'd ordered. AMBIANCE: The interior is upscale, of a slightly older vintage, but quite "white tablecloth" nice. NET-NET: OeL is a pricey pick, but a very nice upscale dinner. Everything went smoothly. I plan on visiting again in another 15 years.
