It's a super relaxed bar that does serve full entrees (food is from the cruisery) so it's definitely a great place to go with friends. I loved this place when it was on State Street and then it moved into another bar. I was there last Saturday. The bartender was so rude and on some insane power trip. I had one drink outside on the patio with a friend and was going to order another even though the place was empty. For zero reason he cut me off. I was in town for the day, had taken the train, and was there to enjoy the beautiful day. I regret that I called him an ass as I was leaving but he really was. I asked him to describe any behavior of mine that would call for me to be cut off and he couldn't. We left and enjoyed a beer at the Irish bar with no problem and was served by a polite and friendly bartender. Wine Therapy guy might want to take some notes. read more

To be absolutely clear: NO ONE in our group had open bottles of alcohol, and we did not arrive by train. We drove into town ourselves with a designated driver for our day out. Our hands were empty when we walked in -- so this accusation makes absolutely no sense. Any claim otherwise is completely FALSE. Here is what actually happened: one person in our group was asked for an ID, and immediately afterward we were told, "I don't feel comfortable serving you guys, you need to leave." That is exactly what happened. At no point were we loud, disruptive, or even given the chance to speak. The staff made their decision instantly, with no explanation and no respect -- and now the business is twisting the story to protect them. While I respect any business's right to enforce policies, what I cannot respect is twisting the truth and spreading false narratives about paying customers. If this is truly the version of events you were told, then your staff lied to your face -- and instead of holding them accountable, you've allowed that lie to stand while targeting guests who did nothing wrong. That is not professionalism; it's avoidance. Do not claim to be "built around community" while treating guests this way. This business has shown it values excuses over accountability and image over integrity. I will never return, and I strongly encourage others to take their business elsewhere. We came here on a Sunday night, the same as the summer solstice fest. Little did we know a lot of places would close earlier than posted business hours (on Yelp). We saw they were open much later so opted for Uber. This place was no exception, though. First, Uber has a different address than where we actually found the new location (something with a bear in the title). As soon as we walked in we were told they already did last call and are closed. We looked around and saw people still playing games and hanging out. But fine, we were ready to keep looking elsewhere. The bar tender made an exception and allowed us to order some beverages. What a fun and cute place! This place (prior to COVID) was always so busy, so never had chance to try this place out. I finally got to try this place during COVID, and this was an awesome place to hang out! They had a lot of selections for Frozes, and Chambong (champaign bong.. lol). I ended up with their mojito seltzer. Good beer selection, but wished they had more (and better) wine selection. Their wine selection was pretty limited to central coast, and as a central coast native, I wanted to see more international wines. I didn't get to try the food - but I liked that they separated the menus by the serving size! I love anything potato -- and the have potatoes! (tots, fries, etc...) We came here right after our amazing dinner at Bibi Ji (next door to Wine Therapy - highly recommend!). We sat at their inside space, but their patio and the front was nicely set up with heaters. I think the prices for the drinks are okay -- for the atmosphere, and the location of the place. Unfortunately the covid bans were still in place when I went to Santa Barbara last weekend so I couldn't enjoy my drinks inside. Went to Santa Barbara for the day to go to the beach. Before heading home I found this place online and decided to check it out. Any place that has a doggie menu is always a huge plus. I ordered a Peach Bellini froze and it was delicious! We also ordered the panela tacos and the sweet board. Both we good. We came with not much of an appetite so I would like to go back to try more food. We got Vader the "good boy" which is beef and rice. We sat on the patio which was empty but a great ambience. Used to love this place before they changed locations. This was a go to spot whenever I was in Santa Barbara because of their unique frozen wine "slushees," and their cozy intimate atmosphere. After relocating, I've been here about 4 times and the vibe just isn't the same. Although a lot more spacious with more game options, it feels like you're inside a frat house or basement. We came for the frosé but stayed for the environment! Nice, spacious indoor area with a chill vibe, not to mention a nice variety of both wine and beer to try. This place still draws a crowd! Super happy it hasn't died down since Covid. Got a glass of Syrah and a glass of Chardonnay along with some sliders. Came here with my boyfriend one evening after dinner and I was sold because there was a sign saying "Frose Fridays" AND you can play board games while you enjoy your drink-totally me! The ambiance is loud and not very welcoming. The service is absolutely horrible; like the other reviews, the short, bald narcissist behind the bar is complete jerk. He completely ignored me for 10 minutes and served multiple people that came up after me. I haven't been here in awhile but on my latest visit I was happy to see them offering 3 different flavors of Frosé (Blackberry Basil, Peach, and Original). I chose the blackberry basil which was perfect! Not too sweet although I wished it had been slushier than it was, but nonetheless it was still good. I've also had their Sangria which is really good but it can be a little too sweet at times so beware of that. They also offer local red & white wines, and beer on tap. The Axxess card is accepted here which offers buy one get one free on a glass of wine and 20% discount thereafter. It was nice to get a free Frosé ($9) so take advantage if you have the 2018 Axxess card. Truly, truly terrible experience with this place. I had hoped to use this place for the afterparty for our wedding, and had called to reserve some tables for a large group about three months ahead of time and was told that while they could not hold tables for us in the back garden, they could 100% accommodate reserving large tables for us in the main room for all of us to sit together. As I was nervous about orchestrating an afterparty for a large group, I called back to confirm a few weeks before our wedding to make sure that they still had us on their books, and they confirmed that they were expecting us and ready to go. My very large group and I rolled up to Santa Barbara Wine Therapy as expected after our wedding, only to be greeted by one of the rudest bouncers I've encountered and to be told off by him that they were aware that we were coming but were told not to make any kind of accommodations for us, including holding/reserving any tables. He informed us that my "making a reservation" was only letting them know that we would show up, and that while they do hold tables, they had certainly not done that for us. Suffice to say that it was impossible for us to try to get enough tables for us for this party to sit together, so my bridesmaids had to scramble to find an alternative location for us on State Street - no easy feat, and a logistical nightmare to get everyone moved over. I couldn't be more disappointed with Santa Barbara Wine Therapy - I had been so genuinely excited to find them for our afterparty, as their overall vibe was exactly what we had been looking for. After being treated so poorly and so rudely, I will be letting all of my Santa Barbara friends and family know to not frequent this place.
