Solid blackened shrimp tacos. Definitely a casual lunch spot. Have been pretty consistent quality.

Just moved to the area and stopped by, we were so impressed! I ordered the asada tacos and they were delicious. The menu has a super wide variety, Mexican in the back and breakfast/brunch in the front, so any person in your party will be satisfied. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and the interior had lots of cute decor.

Fast, attentive service with tasty fresh nachos and savory tacos. I was apprehensive about the price but the food was pretty good.

A nice, local spot for great Mexican food and breakfast. I'm a big fan of their breakfast burritos and their salsa verde is to die for!

A few weeks ago, I finally made it in for dinner for the first time, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. I can't remember exactly which nights they serve dinner, but it's well worth planning a visit. My partner and I ordered several dishes to share, and every single one was a hit. We started with the burrata and prosciutto appetizer with pesto, which was incredible. Paired with a glass of wine, a cocktail, and the complimentary house-made salt and vinegar chips, it would make for a perfect happy hour on its own. For our entrees and sides, we ordered the half chicken, roasted carrots, and dinosaur kale salad. The chicken tasted like it had been slow-cooked all day--tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The roasted carrots were outstanding, and even the kale salad felt special and thoughtfully composed. To finish the meal, we shared the sticky toffee pudding, which was one of the most memorable desserts I've had in a long time. We also tried two mocktails, both of which were creative, delicious, and fun. Sunrose continues to impress me whether I'm there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I'll definitely be back again and again.

And it's always the same exact item. A Cesar wrap (I always ask kindly) and a roasted artichoke. First, lately, the artichoke has been coming raw. But because it happens every few times, that was not the reasoning for coming today. Father's Day. We had a 12pm reservation and we were early- knowing it would be packed. Sat AFTER a large party that arrived after us- at 12:15, we were off to a rocky start. Waiter finally took our orders about 10/15 minutes after sitting. I tried ordering my Cesar wrap but was immediately snapped at that they didn't have tortillas. I replied 'you sure, quesadilla, do' . Not wanting to argue, under my breath I said 'I order it weekly but that's ok, I'll just take a Cesar salad!' Takes the rest of the orders and leaves. Mind you- there are two kids at the table. A 7 year old and 9 month old. I can't remember the last time the kids weren't served first. But hold on for that. 12:50, I ask the waiter the status and if the kids food can at least come out. He rudely comments about it being slammed and that all the food will come out when it's ready. No bother asking the people cooking it. He walks opposite direction. Before leaving makes it a point to rudely say 'but I put in your Cesar wrap'. Bro. Don't care. It's been an hour since our reservation, you sat us late and I just want my kids butter pasta. I get up and speak to a manager (12:55). Takes her like 10 minutes to get an answer and comes back to say 'it's just going to take longer. Jt is what it is.' Asks if we want bread and we said no thank you Waiter comes and slams tiny plates in front of all of us. Then proceeds to place down bread, steak knife in front of a 9month old. Who grabs it quicker than we can. Finally 1:45 kids and us finally get our food. An hour and Fourty five minutes from our reservation time. People sat after us around us were served before us and the kids. Sadly we will never eat here again, order take out or have any other family event here. The Father's Day tomahawk steak special was a great value for the price and the portion was huge. The creamed spinach was amazing, and the mashed potatoes were delicious. What truly made this experience stand out was the customer service. David and, I believe, Lance were absolutely wonderful. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Their hospitality elevated the entire experience. Pretty generous portion size, plenty of salmon and the eggs were perfectly cooked with an equally perfect toasted English muffin (not too hard, not too stuffy, literally the exact texture to soak up all of the yolk and add that creaminess to the dish alongside the hollandaise). Very popular spot in a cute kind of gold rush-western style town. Recommend you reserve a seat but we had a group of 5 at 10am on a Sunday and only waited 10 minutes so who knows? It was sadly a disappointment aside from the latte I got the market salad with chicken - for one it looked gorgeous so I was excited, and it literally had zero flavor. Even the dressing had to add salt just to eat it- I've never added salt to a salad before for reference lol to add to that it was $27 before tax and tip. For a terribly bland salad. Looked pretty tho! My fiancé and future mother in law had pancakes and crab cake Benedict. I tried the pancakes after my salad cuz I wanted something yummy to top off the bland meal - she warned me they weren't that great and kind of dry. Sadly, she wasn't wrong those were $20 or so... didn't have any fruit or anything to make it special. ihop may have been better.... The crab cake Benedict for $28 was "ok". We have zero problem paying that money for a meal that's delicious but we would have had better luck staying home and cooking in. The service we received was also excellent, thanks especially to our server, Blake, who really made the experience more enjoyable. Star of the Night: Without a doubt, the focaccia was the best I've ever had. Perfectly fluffy, flavorful, and truly next-level. The pizza butter was a nice touch, though not as memorable as the bread itself. Appetizers: * Caesar Salad: I wasn't a fan of the presentation with the large anchovies on top. I don't mind anchovies in the dressing, but having them laid out on the salad wasn't appetizing. * Tempura Mushrooms: Great flavor, but they were overly fried, making them a bit too hard and masking the mushroom itself. The sauce that came with them was delicious, but there wasn't enough of it to balance out the crispiness. * Grilled Shrimp: Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. The plating was very plain compared to the other dishes, and the flavors just didn't come through. It felt like the dish could use a serious upgrade. * Hamachi Crudo: This was a highlight! The passion fruit purée paired beautifully with the fish, though the extra oil on the plate caused separation and made it hard for the sauce to stick. A small tweak here would make it perfect. Entrees: This is where the meal lost momentum. After the apps, it took about 30-45 minutes for the mains to arrive, which felt unnecessarily long since the full order had been placed upfront. By the time they arrived, the dishes themselves didn't really deliver. * Scallop Curry: Decent flavor, but the scallops could have used a much better sear to really shine. Something about the plate felt a little off-balance. * Pappardelle with Short Rib Ragu: The pasta noodles were well-made, but the short rib lacked depth of flavor and tenderness. It seemed undercooked for what should have been a slow-braised, melt-in-your-mouth kind of meat. Overall, the dish was bland and uninspired. Drinks & Dessert: I skipped the cocktails because none really stood out, but the glass of wine I ordered was excellent. We also passed on dessert after waiting so long for the entrees. Final Thoughts: The restaurant has a lot of potential, the ambiance is beautiful, the focaccia is unforgettable, and the service (thanks to Blake) was wonderful. But the rest of the menu felt inconsistent, with several dishes needing more attention to detail in both flavor and presentation. I'm glad I finally tried it, but for me, the focaccia and service were the true highlights of the night.
