He made me feel comfortable right away, took the time to listen to my concerns, and explained how we could make a plan to complete everything in stages--starting with the most important issues first. Although I am an adult complicated case due to a narrow palate and previous loss of multiple teeth with dental implants, there was zero empathy displayed by this office for my root resorption and continued tooth loss because I signed consent for possible risks. Most recently I had the new digital scanning technology to image a tooth that needed a touchup. The tech was visibly frustrated with the difficulty of scanning my teeth because of my gum recession and exclaimed loudly in front of a room of juvenile patients, their parents, and staff as the seats are lined up with no privacy "Ugh It's your teeth!" I was completely humiliated about a health condition that has caused me severe depression and significant anxiety. Staff are insensitive to adult dental conditions.

Before making my appointment, I asked if they participate in Anthem HMO. The response was yes. Initially, my impression of the staff and service was good. Despite paying $450 (discount included) for a deep cleaning since I was told it wasn't covered. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill since then. My husband also made his appointment and was told a deep cleaning was needed and had to pay $500 for it. He called Anthem and was told this office wasn't participating in HMO. Since I have a background in health insurance, I called myself and got the same response. I've tried to reach the office manager at least eight times to resolve this problem. Once, without even being asked for a name, I was told that a correction was faxed and would be called back when it was done. Since starting this whole process, my husband received an explanation of benefits showing NOTHING was paid, including preventative services like x-rays. I actually never even received an explanation of benefits. Were my services even billed? I'm beyond frustrated because now it appears we have to find another dentist and start this whole process again. And, I'd like to have some of my money back!

I decided to get a second opinion from two other dentists, and both confirmed that I have zero cavities. Because of this experience, I felt uncomfortable with the level of care and professionalism. It honestly felt more focused on treatment costs than on my dental health. I will not be returning. 2 stars because it was clean and the chair I was sitting in for almost an hour was comfortable.

Beware - Second opinion needed on anything they recommend!! I was told by Dr Ferguson and their…read moreperiodontist that I needed a front tooth removed due to bone loss and possible root issue. Wait, what? I had a deep pocket at the gum of the tooth, my tooth was strong, not broken and not loose. They made me believe this was my only option and proceeded to explain that an implant would be the way to go since a bridge wouldn't work due to the root issue. The implant procedure would be 8-9 months and I would have a flipper during that time. It was going to cost me $9k for one tooth!!! Can you imagine the anxiety and stress this caused? I decided to get a second opinion. I researched best periodontist in San Diego and after his thorough examination and panoramic X-rays he was shocked and dumbfounded as to why Santee Smiles periodontist wanted to pull the tooth, he saw no bone loss or root issue. All I needed was a minor gum surgery called Guided Tissue Regeneration that costs $1500 (claim to insurance) and get this, once he was done with the procedure he confirmed no bone loss or root issue!!! Be very careful to believe their treatment plan and get a second opinion. I am changing dentists, don't even want my teeth cleaned here, it always costs me something extra... just a money grab.

I was referred here by another Dental office and was like oh no my luck has run out. The referring Dental office initially broke the ice from my trauma. I took a deep breath and expected the worse and now with the right plan. I can't wait to go back. All you need is a decent insurance and everything will be taken care of. If you don't even have that they are willing to work with you. EVERYONE IS SUPER NICE & PATIENT. And that says a lot coming from me. Pablo is cool AF man! I came here for a molar extraction, and it was one of the worst dental experiences I've ever had…read more After the procedure, I ended up in the ER from the intense pain. I had reached out to the office multiple times for help, no response. Not a call, not an email. Nothing. They charged me upfront for a temporary partial that was never adjusted or fitted properly to my mouth. I tried to make it work for days, but it was so bad I eventually just threw it in the trash. That's money wasted. They also charged me for a CT scan that, over two months later, I still haven't received. This isn't about whether the dentist is skilled. I don't doubt Dr. Faris or Dr. Alhamdi's education. The real issue is the complete lack of care, communication, and follow-up from the front office. I even emailed them letting them know I'd be contacting the State Dental Board, and guess what? Still no reply. I high doubt Bianca forward my concerns to either Dr. They told me I needed root canals, crowns, and fillings, but I'm still sitting here two months later, in pain and completely in the dark. I'm genuinely concerned for my health and my teeth. Do better please. No one deserves these.

When we got a collections letter, we called and they said don't worry about it and that they would send it to the Navy. We continued to get the bills until the second collections letter arrived and we just paid it to be done with it. This has been going on for over 6 months. For those who aren't familiar with military medical, they refer you out to civilian practices when they don't have capacity to get you in. All required medical care is covered by the military for Active Duty personnel. Since my husband was retiring, that's what the Navy did. It was a requirement for his discharge from Active Duty and in no way his responsibility to pay. It's really frustrating that this small business could not get their communication figured out, and now we have to try and get reimbursed $1,000 from the military.
