Ordering by phone was easy and food was ready in 20 minutes as promised. Antipasto Salad was terrific and dressing was outstanding. Got a medium margarita and a large cheese with pepperoni, onions and mushrooms. For $76, I was hoping for better pizza. read more

Date: May 10, 2025 Hubs is a huge fan of Italian food, especially NY pizza so yelped around and found this spot close by. We called to see if they did delivery but delivery doesn't start until 4pm and it was barely 3pm. So we decided to just order and pick up. The male who took our order was very sweet and patient while we decided what we wanted. Ordered an Italian sub and a large pep pizza and came by to pick it up. They have a small parking lot In the back which was super convenient as street parking was limited. And they have a couple tables outside as well as a couple inside. We almost decided to eat there but it was 100F that day and their AC was down so there was no way. Took our food back home and enjoyed. Pizza was a little oily but delicious nonetheless. Crust was really good. The sub on the other hand was a bit disappointing. It was super hard and had no flavor whatsoever. Felt like a school lunch sandwich. We were a little sad. Glad the pizza was good but ultimately not a return spot for us. read more

As someone originally from the Northeast, it's hard to find a decent pizza joint in LA that sells true NY style pizza. Santino's is by far the best NY pizza I've had in LA. Service is always great, it's super easy to just call directly for pickup and they usually have a pizza ready in 20-25 minutes. If you prefer to eat in person, they have a nice seating area and obviously more things on the menu than just pizza! There's street parking on Woodman or Ventura. So if you're a Sherman Oaks local or just stopping by, definitely check out Santino's for a true NYP slice. read more

Looking for a good thin crust pizza in the Valley, this is your spot. We've been coming here for years. The pizza is hot and fresh. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce. It's the kind of pizza that you want to eat hot, but it burns the roof of your mouth. Never taken the pizza home, but I would definitely recommend eating in the restaurant. This is the type of pizza that doesn't stay hot long...and it's definitely worth eating fresh! The service has always been very polite and helpful. The staff is always friendly. Santino's Pizza has always been one of my favorite places to get pizza pies. There are a bunch of places in LA now that make great pizzas and different styles, but I always find myself craving Santino's. I think it's their pizza sauce! Not too acidic or sweet, kinda like a "Marcella Hazan's tomato sauce" in my opinion. In addition, they use fresh topping ingredients and the ratio of cheese to ingredients to sauce are always perfect! Never soggy. Santino's pizzas are thin crusted all the way around and doesn't have a thick fluffy edge or crust. This thin crust pizza comes out chewy; and if you eat it right away has a slight crisp- it's good stuff! My absolute favorite is their version of Margherita Pizza. It's excellent! In my neighborhood nothing compares to Santino's, so I make the drive to Sherman Oaks when I can. Sherman Oaks area has great pizza spots and Santino's is one of them. read more

Love this NY style pizzeria! Popped in here for a slice of cheese pizza and a drink. The gentleman at the counter was super friendly and the thin crust pizza slice was delicious. The inside is small with 5 tables but I really liked it. Street parking can be tricky around here but there's parking behind the restaurant. read more

Well, this is pretty good pizza. And the antipasto salad was amazing. Very good tavern style thin crust. I wouldn't call it New York but they do. Didn't try the Sicilian. I'll put it up in another review. Yep, I'll be back. The pie was pretty good. The sauce is lightly seasoned and all the toppings on the Everything pizza were well balanced. We got a pep and extra cheese for balance and it holds a fold, with no topping slide off. Even on the 10 topping Everything pizza. Really good cheese, and a good tavern style dry, crisp crust. They say they do cheese slices during the day. It's worth a stop. If you're walking by. Parking is a bit tight. The place itself is a counter style spot, I think there was two tables and chairs. The antipasto salad was fantastic with good helpings of everything. That's a must try. Like I said, we'll be back! read more

I feel bad bc the guy who works there was nice... but I literally just went in for the first time to order a slice... I was going to go to Whole Foods but this had such good reviews.. I am not impressed at all. The crust isn't bad, but it's thin and they do that thing some places do where it looks like they just basically threw the toppings on and if you try to eat the pizza they all fall off! It also was def not a big slice. Additionally, I lived in Manhattan for years and this doesn't ring true to nyc pizza. And last but not least, they have dine in but no public restroom. Like I said... I've had their pizza a few times. Highly prefer the square Neapolitan: nice thin crust. Sauce has tons of umami and not overly sweet. Crust is crisp but still had enough chew. Not too much cheese. Last night though -- oh man. I had the Neapolitan but I added anchovies and crushed tomatoes. A-maz-ing. Anchovies are tricky because some places will just throw on strips of them whole. Leaving really fishy bites and then nothing for the rest of the pizza. With this, it was chopped up and mixed in with the sauce. And it was perfectly balanced with the freshness of the tomato. The only thing that was better was when I reheated it this morning and tore up some fresh basil on top. Perfection. read more

We have been coming to Santinos for almost 15 years. It is the best tasting pizza we have found in there Sherman Oaks-Encino-Van Nuys area, worth the 15-20 minute drive it takes us to pick it up. But our favorite pizza, already expensive at just under $25 four or five years ago, now costs $40. For one pizza! We are, sadly, going to find somewhere else that is more reasonably priced. read more

NY pizza this is not, but it's still decent. The portions are difficult to gauge in the pictures, but the medium pizza is enough for two, and the small Caesar is really small, enough for one. Depending on how hungry everyone is, of course. Upon first reveal, I was concerned about the crust, as it looks more like the frozen pizza kind rather than NY, but it was tasty. Because it is so dense, though, it makes for a much greasier pizza, as it can't soak up any of it. So grab the paper towels beforehand, if that's your thing, and blot some of it out. Sauce was thick and tasted like tomato paste, not fresh tomatoes. Pasta cold so I don't think it was freshly made. Service good. Nice waiter. I wanna give a huge shout out to Isaac and Frank for being so welcoming. I went on a first date and we arrived pretty close to closing time, but Isaac went over all our options and made some super great suggestions about what to try for our first time there. He was extremely friendly and clearly knowledgeable about which sizes are best and which pizzas are best to eat the day after! Since we were there for a while they started closing up, but they never made us feeling pressured about leaving. I would come back just for their awesome customer service. I'll cut right to it: Santino's NY Pizza has the most authentic tasting NYC style pizza I've ever had since moving to SoCal from New York City. No matter what part of New York you grew up in from Brooklyn to the Bronx--there's one thing all New Yorkers share... their love of pizza! While growing up and living in NYC for 23 years before my move doesn't qualify me as a pizza expert, I can tell you has engrained as sense of what proper pizza should taste like. Even the store is reminiscent of old school NYC pizza parlors. You can eat in as there's enough seating for a small group or order to go. The staff is great and the owners are some of the nicest New Yorkers you'll ever meet--in LA or NYC! This is the GO TO pizza spot!!! I don't go anywhere else anymore. It's a hole in the wall spot with meter parking and I believe a small lot in the back. We always get the Margherita Pizza and now have expanded to the Pesto Pizza. They always hit the spot. It's a thin crust pizza and doesn't have too much oil that when I'm finished eating, I don't feel heavy and groggy. The staff is extremely friendly and our order is always ready on time. What saves this from being a one star review is the food. Specifically the pizza, which was quite good. The reason for the poor review is the service. The cash register employee who took the order and served, was on her phone having a personal conversation via an earbud the whole time she was taking my order and got several items wrong. Even after I asked her to pay attention, and pointed out the fact that she was on the phone and actively speaking to a friend while I was giving her my order, this did not prompt her to get off the phone and pay attention. It was very frustrating and frankly rude. And several items had to be changed/remade and required me to correct. Is this generational? I don't know, but if you are employed this means you are being paid to be present and do your job. She poorly represented the business and provided substandard customer service. read more
