    BIANCA PIZZA

My partner and I wanted to try a new pizza place and we found Pizzana on Yelp! The restaurant wasn't busy when we got there but we sat inside to take in the ambiance of the restaurant and take our time looking over the menu. We decided to get a pasta plate and pizza to have good grounds on how the food taste without extra toppings. It was super yummy and the serving sizing was perfect we took leftovers home. Only downside is they ran out of burrata but I like knowing they will pull a pizza off the menu if they don't have the ingredients they can trust

PEPPERONI PIZZA : 4 stars and yummy
    Dakota D.

Stopped here for a rest and a bite. Pizzas did not disappoint. Pepperoni pizza: 4 stars and yummy. Delicious pepperoni pizza with slightly charred, bubbly crust, the kind of pizza where the pepperoni edges are crispy and curled up from being roasted in the pizza oven. Crust is thin with just the right amount of chewiness. The pizza sauce is a little sweet, delicious flavor, bubbly cheese, and basil thrown in for good measure (see photo) Charlotte was my waitress tonight five star service all around very friendly and efficient fast friendly service. I recommend getting a seat on the patio for some good people watching. The pizza here is good. I look forward to my next visit at this location or West Hollywood.

I have given this place, so many tries. But I feel like either this location is not great or as the company has expanded overall, it's quality has gone down. Every single time I order from here the pizza comes out incredibly mushy and soft. It's like they're in a rush to get it done and the oven is too hot. It's soppy in the middle and charred on the outside. I live down the street, I've complained about this in the past. Hoping that the service would get better, but for the price I would honestly rather get any other pizza.

This place is a neighborhood hang with lots of families with kiddos. Can get very busy around 5:00 pm with a wait time if you don't make a reservation. It's not very big inside and the acoustics can be a bit challenging if you have sensitive ears...I placed my pizza to-go so I got to do a little "people" watching while waiting. The hostess and servers never slowed down. The small outdoor patio in the front was packed as well. 20 minutes later my pizza was ready and I headed home. They are known for their sourdough pizza crust. My Margherita pizza was okay. It didn't blow my doors off. I would like to try their pasta dishes but thinking later in the evening would be better for me to come back to dine in...avoiding the noise, crowds and tired babes:) *Street parking only on Ventura Blvd and side streets (read the signs to avoid a ticket) ~ and that's all I have to say about that ~

One of the best pizza places in California! I always believe if close your eyes and point anything in the menu and it is delicious then you are in the right restaurant. The service is great the ambience is a little loud but it is a family restaurant.

Recommend making reservations on Resy, there seemed to be limited seating in the front that I could see. The interior is clean and very modern in the wallpaper and cute placemats. Service was good and we especially liked the tiered pizza table stackers! Highlights: - Corbarina Pizza - honestly the most delicious thing we got! The san Marzano tomatoes really make a difference. The squash blossoms are more for show as they don't change the flavor in my opinion. The tomato sauce was so tasty, burrata was slightly cool and melty on the top. - Carciofi arrostiti - my only complaint was the dish was a little small for $18, but the flavor was super lemony, toasty and fresh. Definitely will be coming back to Pizzana!

Waiting patiently for their pup pizza!

Ottimo! This small place packs a punch. Cute and very authentically Italian - from the food, to the music to the coordinating colorful graphics on the wallpaper, placemats and artwork. Loved every item we had: carciofi arrostiti, pizza ai funghi and crespelle alla vodka. Normally I take photos but I was so into the food and the ambience I got carried away and just sat back and devoured it, enjoying every bite. The pizza is truly delicious - they have 'lunga levitazione' , which means the dough is allowed to rise for 48 hours which makes it much more digestible. Our server Charlotte was excellent and checked on us during our meal frequently. And a big thank you to Cameron who gifted us a pup pizza which our hounds enjoyed immensely. Will definitely be back with my son for a GF pizza. Grazie!!!

    DIAVOLA PIZZA BIANCA PIZZA

I used to love this place! But unfortunately they've fallen off the ladder quite far for me :( the Fennel on the bianca just felt like they didnt care at all, it was like 2 pieces per slices thickly cut and plopped on there. The Diavola is usually a go-to for me but it was overwhelmingly salty :( finally, the chili oil lacked significant flavor and spice. Maybe i came on a bad night, but reproducability is an important factor. These pizzas aren't cheap either. Hopefully they do a quality check soon and fix these issues.

My boyfriend and I decided to check out this Pizzana location because we were craving some good Neapolitan style pizza. We had been to their silver lake location so we knew they had amazing pizzas. It was a beautiful night so we decided to sit outside. We ordered the caprese salad for our appetizer and two pizzas, the Cacio e Pepe and the Diavola. I think our waiter and the chef in the kitchen was having an off night because first we were brought the wrong appetizer and then the wrong pizza, and then were told that the chef burnt our pizza which is why it was taking so long to remake it. Our waiter all seemed all over the place and out of it. I imagine they were just having an off night. Thankfully the salad and pizzas we ate were fresh and delicious. I think they were just having an off night!

Incredible product, service, and a nice atmosphere. Thank you to the staff for making my wife and I feel so welcome. Mac N Cheese, Diavolo, Cacio e Pepe and Margherita were the 4 pizzas ordered. Incredible product. Thank you for the perfect day off.

Parking was very easy with a lot behind it. The service was very fast and the staff was very friendly! I have only been to the Brentwood one but I love how they serve water and the water pitcher with ice!! I came in between 4-6 for their half off margheritas on weekdays!

    Gluten free PEPPERONI PIZZA
    Yolanda P.

Just ate Pizzana tonight while waiting for my dog at the vet. Long wait for mediocre pizza. Order a gluten free pepperoni pizza. The dough was tasteless and the pizza needed salt even though it was a pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni was burnt and I had to take most of the off. My family said the Margherita was ok. Very expensive for what it is. Super disappointing. The one waitress that seemed to be servicing the entire restaurant was super nice and the best part of the entire experience.

    CLASSIC CHEESE PIZZA
    Heather S.

Had take out the other night and was pleasantly surprised by Pizzana. I'm a sucker for breaded cauliflower and this version was really well done. It had great breading and the aioli dipping sauce really added a great touch. Cheese pizza was pretty good. I usually don't like crust, but this one was a really great consistency. I preferred the flavors of the cacio e Pepe pizza, but both were good even as leftovers!

I made a reservation for Easter Brunch through OpenTable for me and my son. We got there about five minutes before our reservation at noon and the hostess told us to wait outside until they were open. Not a problem. HOWEVER, she never came back out to get us once they were open which was my first red flag because she left us waiting about 10 minutes past our reservation time. I go back inside to ask if we were going to be seated for our reservation and she asks under what name...mind you I was there before opening so she already had my name and time for reservation before no one else was there yet. The food itself was great but our service was absolutely terrible. We weren't checked on throughout the meal (again the restaurant was NOT crowded) and after completing our meal I realized the hostess deleted my reservation. For those who use OpenTable you know you get points for every completed reservation. I reached out privately to management first about my overall experience to hopefully rectify the issue. I wasn't looking for any incentives but that they at least train their wait staff better and resubmit my reservation in the system so I could both redeem my points and leave a review. It never happened. In an economy where everything is expensive just stepping outside I really value good service as well as good food. If the food is great but service is terrible I will never go back and this is that spot. Discrimination shows up in different ways and I will not patronize a business who blatantly does not show all of their customers the same level of respect and service. Posted pictures so you know I'm not a hater...food was great. Service was absolutely not it lol.

We found parking in the back area and as soon as we entered we were greeted by the staff. My son ordered Pollo Siciliana and I got the farfalle al Salmon. I also got a glass of Pinot Grigio which is actually good. They give you a complimentary bread and an olive dip. I love the warm bread and the olive dip that comes with it is a welcome change from the ordinary. I enjoyed my pasta and the sauce is really rich and creamy. My son's pasta is good if you like tomato-based and not cream based sauce. My favorite is when they give you a complimentary tiramisu dessert. We were even given extra slices to take home. That's a nice touch that will certainly make us go back for more. They have a few tables and I would say it's a good place for a casual meet up or for families.

With World Cup matches keeping people home or at raucous pubs, this little restaurant was quieter than usual this Sunday night, so we were seated immediately and were tended to by the owner. Take note: he started here as a busboy 26 years ago and now runs the place; he cares quite a bit about everything, and it shows. Yeasty, house-made bread is served warm, accompanied by a very lightly seasoned olive tapenade that's a cool and refreshing start to the meal. My wife ordered the Salmon Limone for her entree, a generous portion of fish, lightly grilled and served atop pasta (normally dressed with a lemon butter sauce, but exchanged for a creamier, herbaceous pesto). The salmon was perfectly cooked and sported a subtle flavor that contrasted well with the heartier, more richly rendered pesto. I opted for the Scampi Limone for my own entree, featuring 6 jumbo shrimp, butterflied and poached, resting atop angel hair pasta with the aforementioned lemon and butter sauce. Initially, I had been expecting there to be a more aggressive use of garlic, but I quickly came to enjoy the gentler preparation, and the buttery foundation of the sauce. Before our check was delivered, a half portion of tiramisu was brought to our table gratis, a gesture we really appreciated. It provided a lovely, sweet send-off, as did our host, who shook our hands and invited us to return. There's just one caution about Spumoni. There is another, completely unaffiliated restaurant with the same name in Santa Monica, and even when you have clearly searched and located the Sherman Oaks venue via Google, clicking on the website link will take you to the website for the other restaurant and, consequently, their menu, which is completely different. The owner says he has tried, but has been unable to get the glitch corrected. To see the menu for this place in Sherman Oaks, you need to look at photos in its Yelp profile or on Instagram. That strange glitch aside, do give Spumoni a try -- it's likely you'll like it.

Thank you to their awesome manager Jacob who provided excellent customer care to us on both our visits. Reserving this restaurant with Jacob was easy and very pleasant. We had an excellent experience both times here at Maria's Italian Kitchen. Our first visit we had Denise as our waiter and she was great. Thank you Denise. She made recommendations and was considerate and attentive in regards to food allergies as our child has peanut and tree nut food allergies. She made sure that food items on our menu did not contain peanuts nor tree nuts. For our first visit we ordered Calamari Fritti, Rosemary Bread Basket, Fettuccine Alfredo with Gulf Shrimp, Calamari Fra Diavolo, Chicken Piccata and Cheese Pizza. All our meals were freshly cooked and brought out in a timely manner. Portion sizing was just right. Denise stopped by several times to replenish our water and check on us. For our second dining experience at Maria's Italian Kitchen Jake was our waiter for our child's birthday party on a Saturday afternoon for party of 18 people. Jake was also excellent and attentive to the individuals with food allergies. He made sure that the kitchen was aware and informed us that none of the meals and food items for our party had peanuts, nuts or pesto. Thank you Jake. Our party ordered a variety of meals and food items on the menu. Perfect portion sizing and options. Some of our guests took their food home to go. We had 3 orders of Calamari Fritti, 4 Chicken Piccata, 1 Shrimp Scampi, 1 Large Shrimp Diavolo, 1 Chicken Marsala, 1 medium Cheese Pizza, 1 Large Carbonara, 4 Large Alfredo, 1 Large Alfredo with Shrimp, 2 Kids Cheese Pizza, 1 Honey Chicken with Fries, 4 Basket of Bread, 3 Coke, 1 brownie sundae and bottle of Peroni. We will be back here to dine with other family and friends and to book another birthday with Jacob in a few months. Thank you again Jacob, Jake and Denise for the delicious meals and excellent customer service.

I went with the antipasto wrap meal: chips and two cookies included! Beautiful and colorful presentation! The wrap was packaged well and stuffed with antipasto salad. The toppings were perfect, lots of cheese noted and fresh overall. Perfect way to celebrate nurses week at work.
