Sorry Petrella's it's a no for me. The best part of my meal honestly was the bread. I'm was visiting Pensacola and a cousin recommended this place. I walked in and it was pretty busy. So I imagine it's quite popular. Customer service was good. Menu is large. I ordered the Chicken Rigatoni. It came with spinach, mushrooms, chicken and a tomato cream sauce. You also have a choice of soup or salad, I chose Caesar salad. Salad was good. A little too"wet" for my liking but edible. The pasta was what I didn't like. No seasoning at all. The chicken to me tasted like the bagged already cooked cubed chicken you can buy at a store. Nothing tasted authentic. Me personally, I would not recommend. read more

Stumbled upon this little gem. Not a large obvious restaurant but when we entered the hostess was super nice and we were added to a wait and while we waited more and more people joined so we knew it had to be a local favorite. We ordered the calamari app which my husband loved, I liked it okay. It was missing some seasoning or something for my liking but my husband disagreed. He ordered a thin crust pizza and devoured it and said it was one of the best pizzas he's had, I ordered the shrimp and crab mahi, again he loved my pasta, I thought it could use some fresh parsley or something but it was overall delicious. Now the desserts? My favorite part! The tiramisu was so good and the Italian beignets? I'll be dreaming of those. They are a must! Our server was so nice and kept our baby entertained as well. We were a group of 12 people. We went at 2 PM which is a great time of day for them to put together enough tables. Everyone really enjoyed whatever they ordered. The only negative thing that I have to say is that I have been going there for years and this time their garlic bread appeared to be just leftover rolls that they put some kind of oil on. Nobody ate theirs. When you go to an Italian restaurant, you really expect the garlic bread with real butter. They have the best lasagna that I have had anywhere else ! read more

Stopped in for a late Lunch. Service was very good super fast ordered a lunch and had a salad in two minutes. Ambiance is ok it is a strip mall next to Publix and Philly Cheesesteak. So the side salad was fresh and good. WOW The restaurant has been here 24 years!! We tried two different dishes: Chicken Alfredo The chicken was cooked very good, the sauce was creamy. I got a salad which was good. Everything went downhill from there. Service was honestly amusing from how horrible they are and treat people. I even asked for the manager and a line cook came out. I ordered the chicken piccata and I'd honestly gagged from how bad it was and dared a family member to try it for $10 who went and threw up. The special being spaghetti on Monday definitely should not be considered special in any way. Even my kids wouldn't eat it. Great service, good atmosphere, and very reasonable prices--at least at lunch, when entrees range from about $14 to $17 and come with soup or salad and garlic bread. The flavor overall was fine, but definitely didn't knock our socks off. The minestrone side was good, but a bit light on flavor. I don't mean this to sound insulting, because it's not a bad soup, but it reminded me a bit of a good canned minestrone. Fine. Nothing particularly effusive I can say about it. The salad side was honestly my favorite part of the meal, not because it was particularly special, but because it was larger than expected and it's hard to mess up this basic of a salad. Was it indulgent? No. It had exactly one cucumber slice, two grape tomatoes, and maybe three small rings of onion, with some croutons and a sauce cup of dressing. But it was, by far, the best thing I had, mostly because it felt fresh and didn't feel like a brick in my stomach. The garlic bread was disappointing. It was a simple, standard, fluffy baguette like you'd get at Wal-Mart halved and saturated with melted butter/margarine and, if there was any, very little garlic or herbs. I'm used to getting much better bread at Italian restaurants, with maybe a pat of whipped butter to spread onto it or an oil-and-vinegar dip. This felt like something my mom would serve on family spaghetti night but somehow even less satisfying. Sort of too wet and salty but still bland. Too fluffy, no nice crust. I didn't end up eating mine, and my partner mostly used his to sop up the overly abundant cheese in my dish. I got Alfredo spinach manicotti, and I wouldn't get it again nor can I recommend it. It tasted, if I'm being charitable, just okay, by which I mean it tasted like greasy cheese and not much else. The manicotti itself was fairly pleasant, since it was at least a bit milder. But the entire dish was literally submersed in a sea of melted cheese that had seemingly been overheated and had separated slightly, becoming so stringy and greasy I had to constantly pull at it like I was eating a cartoon pizza, and which I had to wait to cool so I could peel the entire layer off to eat the manicotti beneath it. The small amount of spinach that topped it was mostly lost to the cheese. This was one of those dishes I didn't look forward to eating the leftovers of and which I can't imagine most people--even true cheese lovers--would be able to actually eat as is. It was just so so heavy, like eating one big block of mozz melted in butter alternative. I have to admit that even finishing half left me feeling kind of...gross; a feeling I for some reason subjected myself to a second time with the leftovers. (Another reviewer says this dish is ordered frozen rather than made fresh, which kind of sucks if true, but maybe that means the other food would be better?) My partner got the portobello-topped chicken, which comes with a massive pile of spaghetti. He said the noodles were good, though there didn't seem to be quite enough sauce to get a good coat on all them, so some were dry. The chicken, though, was very tender, and he enjoyed the mushrooms. All in all, we might give it another shot, just because it's an affordable place and close to my OB's office, but I might just go with a salad next time, because I'm not sure I trust the entrees. I think they could really elevate some of the basics here, and reign in the excesses. Just having a better bread or actually using some garlic and spices on it would help. Maybe add more subtle flavorings and rely less on the overload of fats. I rather oddly didn't detect any garlic in anything we had. It just kind of felt like everything was missing...something. read more

My husband and I went to Petrella's for their all you can eat Spaghetti & Meatballs Monday Night Special for only $8.99 per person. It includes a delicious salad, the yummiest buttery garlic bread, and spaghetti with meat sauce and super tasty meatballs! The salad was terrific... and the dressings seemed homemade and fresh... I had the blue cheese (awesome), and my husband had the thousand island (awesome too)... lots of veggies and the best croutons... truly a meal in itself!!! The all you can eat is truly all you can eat... but the portions are so generous, i challenge you to get seconds... although we did get seconds on the meatballs (yep... they allow that)!!! Our server Ally was like the energizer bunny! She was taking excellent care of so many tables masterfully! She was so friendly and made everyone feel like they were her only guests! We live close by, and have been here multiple times... and each time it's really great! It's no wonder this place almost always has a full house and has been a staple around here for decades!
