I've gone here a lot because the food is so delicious! We went to try their new item, the Puffy Pitas, and they were amazing! They were light and fluffy, but still hearty. It was the best mashup between a taco and Mediterranean food. I usually get their bowl which is always delicious and their pita is a great option as well! Anything you get here is good and I love the customization that they provide! We went during a rush, busy dinner time, and the staff was really nice and fast in bringing out our food! Used to love this location! We ate here almost once a week in the spring. Things have changed and the new crew SUCKS! I ordered the Original Bowl, but asked for Greek salad as the base. It makes ordering easy because I like everything in the bowl. It's was easy to order that way, but no more!! The new manager was SO NITPICKY!!!!! The person helping me asked if I wanted to substitute something else for the fact I didn't want banana peppers, and she gave me added olives. The manager freaked out and shook her head saying "we don't do that!!" When I went to check out she changed me $16 for a custom bowl. I told her I had ordered the "Original Bowl," and she said "it doesn't work that way!" Changed me for the original bowl and corrected the employee. Then my husband ordered an original bowl, with braised beef. There wasn't much left, just a tiny amount. The employee didn't know what to do....no statement of "looks like we are out of the braised beef...would you like something else, chicken or gyro meat? He just stood there, and then just moved on with filling the order. Didn't address it at all. The meat is the main thing you're paying for and we got the smallest portion with a bunch of garlic cloves!!! Seriously!?! Then as my husband was eating the small portions of meat, he said it was mostly fat. Then he bit down on something hard and almost chipped a tooth! Ridiculous!!! It came with half Greek salad and half lemon rice with all the fillings you want....Kalamata olives, onions, feta, roasted garlic etc and I pretty much got all the fixings and it was absolutely fantastic. I heard about this place before and decided to go after a hike. The menu all looked good and they have variety, even letting you make your own like chipotle. Ingredients all seemed very fresh and decent prices for the large portions. I got the classic gyro and my husband got the sweet potato bowl. I had the original bowl without olives and peppers. In place of those toppings, I was able to select other toppings I wanted in place of them. I had the chicken with tazziki sauce. This bowl was so good!!! The pitas slices that come with your bowl are really good too. I liked how they were soft, with a little crisp to them and salt. I had leftovers the next day and the bowl was just as good. I also tried the zucchini fries and really liked them. I will definitely be back and loved my order. I ordered a bowl with chicken The bowl was 3/4 full of salty yellow rice, a tin scoop of chicken, a tablespoon of "greek salad " made with tomato and cucumber. A teaspoon of feta, black olives and garbanzo beans instead of yellow peppers. Everything was extremely salty with no middle eastern taste whatsoever Overall I am really disappointed with the flavor and quality of the food. I got 2 strips of soggy pita bead. Staff is courteous and will let you try sauces and offerings as a sample beforehand so you know what you're ordering. We had the chicken salad and a few gyro/pita related things. The food was satisfactory but felt somewhat low effort. The Zeus was okay but the flavors didn't feel very authentic. I had the chicken salad which had pretty tough chicken and a blend of flavors that didn't quite taste right together. The entire pieces of garlic were thrown in and didn't contribute that much. I could order the same at Sweetgreen for the same price but have a more complete and well-blended flavor profile. The gyro is over seasoned and there is nothing particularly stand out. That being said, there is nothing wrong with the restaurant. The ambiance is nice and it's very easy to find a seat and get your food quickly. I ordered a build your own bowl with the lemon rice and Greek salad blend. I then did the traditional gyro meat. My toppings were olives, spinach, banana peppers, garbanzo beans, feta, and tzatziki sauce. The lemon rice was cooked perfectly and I loved the flavor. The gyro meat was so good and tender and they gave me a lot of meat in my bowl. All of the flavors were fresh and just delicious. I tried a bite of my husbands lemon chicken and that was really flavorful as well. We also ordered a side of hummus and pita. I asked the employee, and he said they don't make their pita in house but somewhere else makes the dough and then they cook it at the restaurant for the first time. The hummus and pita was good. After hearing tales of how good the Ogden location is, I was happy that one opened closer to me. After trying it, I would definitely consider this one of the best Greek restaurants in the valley. I ordered a custom bowl and really liked the way that all the flavors available worked together. I definitely suggest the roasted pepper sauce. I also had the feta fries, and they were fantastic. A really good french fry loaded with tons of flavor. I was really impressed with my experience over all. The short coming was the preparation time in my specific visit. It took a while to have 4 bowls assembled. This may have been attributed to the time of day, new employees etc, but If there were a line it would have taken forever. I'll be back regardless. I've been here 3 times, due to other people I'm dining with, wanting to go. I have never liked it. I tried it again this 3rd and last time about 2 weeks ago. I got a Greek salad and chose one of the chicken options as my protein. I have NEVER had drier chicken. It was inedible. I would have taken it back but the guy who served me was very gruff and unfriendly and I didn't want to deal with him. So I just picked it out and ate the lettuce. I would have loved to have gotten a side of fries or something else to go with my salad but the prices are really high and I didn't want to pay more than I was already paying, $15 for a small salad with inedible meat. Food is decent, but way overpriced. Have been here several times now and they are always understaffed. Hadn't been a problem until today, when I was told fries would take a few minutes. No problem, I thought. As we finished our lunch and I asked about the fries, which hadn't been delivered, I was told three more minutes. Easily 5 stars. The food, the cleanliness and the staff all deserve five stars. I really appreciated the simplicity of the menu. Most modern restaurants that allow the "create your own" option has the most disorganized and messy menu full with too many options and sides. It's overwhelming and confusing. Not this place. You have a small section for "Tradition Gyro or Bowl" and then a separate section for "Build it your way" (see photos). The menu is easy to read and easy to order from. I was initially going to order a bowl, until I realized the Gyro is FRESH, and made there on the spot, so I ordered the Santorini's style gyro with half lamb half lemon chicken (they were out of the garlic chicken). You can pick white or wheat. Instead of rice, I put fries (which were also made on the spot). The fries were amazing. The tzaziki was amazing. Everything on the gyro was top notch. We ordered the donuts (aka "Loukoumades") which I thought were really good too. Again, fresh. Comes with a total of three. They put this lemon glaze on top. Totally worth a try. Don't come here. The gyro meat is overcooked and crispy. The presentation of the "original" is horrible. Everything falls out once you try handling it. We ordered 2 of them plus garlic fries. The fries came out cold about 10-12 minutes after we had ordered and were absolutely disgusting and cold. Took the fries back to the counter within a minute of trying them and was offered a free meal card and I politely declined and just asked for our money back. Hard pass on this place. read more
