Sapori was really good. I had the chicken alfredo and my wife had the lasagna. We also shared breadsticks and crispy Brussels sprouts. Our mixed drinks were perfect. And, after our meal, the owner came over to ask us how everything was. The food and the service were excellent--we'll definitely go back to try something else. Our only complaint is that it's loud, so it was hard to have a conversation. It's also a small place (max seating 59, not including the patio), so reservations are a must. We went to try Sapori for lunch. We started with the garlic cheese bread (which is from Slate-which we love). My husband had the clam pasta (can't remember the actual name). My daughter & I both had the tomato bisque. I added the kale salad which was my absolute favorite part of the entire meal. My oldest daughter had the kids pepperoni pizza. We came here on a Tuesday evening and were sat right away, no wait, which was a nice surprise. They started us off with complimentary bruschetta, and our server was attentive and very friendly throughout the night. For entrees, my friend had the lamb ragu and the sea bass milanese. The lamb ragu was a bit gamey with a hint of nutmeg(?), and the sauce was on the sweeter side. The sea bass was a hit - moist, flavorful, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes. I ordered the spaghetti and chicken Parmesan to go. The spaghetti was much heavier on the pepper than I prefer, but still edible. The chicken Parmesan came with a chunky marinara and a side of spaghetti. It was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The ambiance, however, was lovely - cozy, and moody. read more

The interior is the polar opposite of the former restaurant (Tucci's). While it was dark and mysterious, Sapori is light and airy and inviting. The complimentary bruschetta is reminiscent of Ti Amo's. Our server was friendly and gave us time to decide on our meal. We weren't rushed at all. I started with the Sapori salad and it was delicious. The dressing reminded me of Tucci's lemonata vinaigrette. I went with a special, the Chicken Marsala. It was delicious. The baby carrots on the side had a smoky taste that complimented the rich sauce well. Chicken Piccata and the penne with vodka sauce rounded out our table. The only thing that wasn't five stars was the bread sticks. They were a bit pastry like but the sauce was good. I would return! Aall of the staff was friendly and inviting. Friend and I went tonight after we decided on pasta. This place is phenomenal, you must go. The lamb and rigatoni are as made perfectly. The cheesy sourdough bread was so good we didn't have enough room for our dinner. My friend chicken Parmesan was hand breaded, flavorful and tender. This was our second visit to Sapori before JBros at the BOK, and it did not disappoint! Libby has waited on us both times, and she's been phenomenal. She's yet to miss with a drink recommendation. The pumpkin spice espresso martini was so good... and honestly, dangerously smooth. Highly recommend trying it while it's in season! We've sat both outside and inside. Outdoor seating is perfect for people-watching on Cherry Street, but we also love the cozy, relaxed vibe inside the restaurant. The pumpkin ravioli was my favorite seasonal dish. i've been randomly craving chicken parm & last night was the time to cure that craving (outside of the fact it was my bday). i remember this spot being tucci's, what i don't remember is what i ordered (it was so long ago when i even came here). sapori had chicken parm when i saw the menu online & this was the spot i had my mind set on for my bday dinner. it was all worth it. the service was really good. we got greeted the moment we walked in, we had reservations & i guess since there were seats available that they didn't think nothing of it. we got seated outside (great view of cherry street sitting out front) & the weather was nice. there was complimentary bruschetta that came out with the water. after placing the order, the food didn't take long to come out. the chicken parm was good, i enjoyed it. a nice sized piece of chicken & crispy (as stated on the menu... "so so crispy") to my liking. plenty of spaghetti sitting under the chicken, left me full once i was done. i ordered the tiramisu to go & it was really really good. it tasted like pistachio played a part in it, coffee too. i'd get it again. we enjoyed ourselves overall & there were a few dishes i'd come back to try, like the spicy pesto primavera. read more

This was the first time we've been to this restaurant and it was an absolute disappointment. The house offering of bruschetta was fair at best. The topping was decent, but the bread was completely soggy. Continuing in the theme of soggy food - the menu advertises their chicken Parm as so, so, so crispy. It was so soggy, bland almost in edible. The spaghetti and sauce served with it had the strangest metallic taste. I'm confident the pasta is not homemade nor is the sauce. The only highlight was the garlic cheese bread. In addition, the entire order, including salads, cocktails, and entrées came out within 15 minutes. The restaurant was pretty empty, so not sure why the entire meal practically came out at the same time. Maybe I presumed the pasta would be in-house and homemade, but it was clear that it is bagged pasta so disappointing will not be returning. read more

I was very excited to try out this restaurant. The space is cute and they have a great location. The bruschetta we were given had very stale crostini. Next our appetizers arrived separately. The cheese on the garlic cheese bread was cold (not even room temp) and the arancini were different flavors - unsure if that's intentional or not. My Caesar salad (which was good) arrived but then a few moments later my salmon piccata arrived. I will say the salmon portion was very generous. Pasta sauce split on husband's carbonara and the pancetta weren't cooked. Scallop risotto was a miss as the dish was two dollops of risotto and scallops on the side. For $8 they give you four very small carrots that weren't cooked well and had no flavor. Chop salad was good, the kale was tender and had a lot of flavor. Swing and a miss for us. The meat sauce for the lasagna was rich and has a great depth of flavor, The carbonara is undoubtedly the best Tulsa has to offer. Luxurious, creamy, packed full of flavor. Just an outstanding dish. We also added the Sapori side salads which were simple but in the nest possible way.
