Saporito's is a wonderful joint just 10 short minutes from downtown Warwick, NY, and much like the town of Warwick, Saporito's is small, cozy, and appealing to the creative eye if we creative people. Their restaurant sign oozes with swagger, or as the young ones call it nowadays, "the RIZZ." Yeah, this place has that Rizz, no cap. The inside is nice and the workers are pleasant to deal with. The pies are beautiful works of art. The likes of Michelangelo would tear up from the pristine looks of these pies. I ordered a plain slice and a penne vodka slice. The plain slice was tremendous, but the vodka slice stole the show. It was thicker than most penne slices that I know. It was square shaped, the crust somewhat risen. So well shaped, cut, and crisped that every bite crunchatized me...cap'n. The penne was perfectly cooked, and the cheese was delicious. but the sauce. Oh the sauce. Oh mama of the earth, wind, and sky. Oh father of the waters and the land. I was seeing stars and other galaxies. I was transported into a world where time stood still, and all you could see, hear, feel, smell, and taste was this wonderful vodka sauce. I've had plenty of penne slices in my days. Best pizza in the area in my opinion (though everyone has different tastes for pizza.) I almost always go with the thin crust sicilian as it's nice and crispy and also freezes and reheats really well--the pies are really big. Have also tried their salads and they are very generous portions and they give you two fresh breadsticks with each. I can definitely say this has to be one of my favorite pizzerias. The bacon chicken ranch slice has my heart in addition to their chicken salad. Only thing is they forget certain things like the dressing and things like that. But even when they do, they still try to make it up for you. I ordered the cheese pizza and it was delicious my daughter had the chicken milanese and she loved it. The pizza had the right amount of cheese and sauce without being dry or overly wet but just perfect. The flavor of the pizza reminded of the pizza that I had growing up in NYC with a good thin crust that was crispy but a little floppy in the begining but crispy the rest of the way. The sauce was not over powering and balanced perfectly with the cheese that was flavorful. The pizza was good but the garlic knots!!!!! Hands down the best garlic knots I've ever had, and my boyfriend agrees. They were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, the marinara sauce was very good as well and I'm not a marinara lover. I absolutely love this place and their staff. First off the pizza is fantastic, so happy they opened up here because we didn't have a go to pizza place and now we do. Absolutely worst place I have ever ordered from. I told them my order 3 times to make sure it was correct and I still got the wrong order. Also they make cheesesteaks with American cheese any other pizza place puts mozzarella. The salad was terrible as well as the meat on the cheesesteak.
