    Fried Calamari
    Suchot K.

Giving this place a 3.5 Stars. Mainly because of quantity to price ratio and some reasons below. Came here on a Friday night for dinner. Very busy and recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Staff is very friendly and service was surprising quick. Fish was good quality and generously portioned, however generally I do think everything was very overpriced compared to other locations in Boulder. Fried Calamari - Appetizer came out quickly and the calamari were sliced to decent sizes. However I personally didn't like the breading type. Also the calamari was quite bland. Avocado and Sweet Potato Rolls - Avocado pieces were generous. Rice wasn't too sweet. Sweet potato was fried well and had good eel sauce, however it was slightly undercooked. Again really surprised by how expensive these rolls are.. Chirashi Bowl - Fish was cut thick and was good quality. Favorite was the Escolar. It was sweet and fatty. Salmon was also really tender and fresh. Other fish were okay, but still good quality. Rice was also cooked fine, mushroom was really well flavored However I'm still not sure that a 10pc (referring to fish only) Chirashi bowl is worth the $33. I didn't find it really filling or worth the price. Maybe if it was $10 less.

New sushi restaurant and it's fantastic! The staff is amazing. Super friendly, gracious and attentive. The food is very fresh and flavorful! We started with appetizers - edamame, miso soup, gyoza and shumai. We had the Sunrise Roll and it was so festive and delicious. We shared a few traditional rolls - shrimp tempura and spicy tuna roll. All were fantastic. The waitresses are so great! They really appreciate your business and want to be sure you have a pleasant experience from the minute you walk in. Pros: Great food Very nice staff Good for dates, friends or family Nice atmosphere with plenty of seats Cons: None

Beautifully crafted sushi with exceptional service. We had: * Mushroom soup which had great flavor (not watered down) * House salad with ginger dressing (thick not thin) * Tuna nigiri & sashimi (extremely generous and lusciously fresh pieces) * Miso ramen (thick noodles and pork was perfectly cooked) * Pink Lady roll (yummmy! Only would have liked more spice but that's just me) * Sweet potato roll (crispy yet sweet with generous amount of unagi) * California roll (my 14yo loved it, but he always loves them wherever we go) We will be back!

Bam! Looking for some hot ramen to warm up your winter night? Perhaps you want some affordable sushi with great service? Then stop by Sapporo Sushi & Grill in Erie! I was at Lowe's and slid on over to pick up their Volcano Ramen to go and was I glad I did. Super tasty ramen that hit the spot. It had an above average heat level that took me by surprise by I still enjoyed it. The little side salad was also greatly appreciated. While I took my order to go, I'll definitely be back for lunch sometime as the ambiance looked great and the staff was very inviting and friendly Cheers!

First let me say that the service was excellent, no problems there. We had salmon and yellowtail sashimi, unagi, rainbow roll and a shrimp tempura appetizer. The unagi came cold, and we told our server. He fixed that in record time with a new order of warm unagi. We was not impressed by the sashimi, especially the yellowtail. It was not sliced carefully - just a small slab of fish. The sashimi could have been presented better. The yellowtail was tough, had some skin on it, and we did not enjoy it. The manager did not come over to apologize about the unagi, as is general practice in American restaurants and is good for business. Lastly, the price: $67.50 before tax and tip. For two people and a not so big dinner, that is too much. It's Boulder prices, but this is Erie. The decor is similar to the decor at Sumo Sushi on Ken Pratt in Longmont, but I do not know if it is owned by the same folks. Given that we live in a part of Erie that pretty much is in between both restaurants, I will prefer going there. Their presentations are much better, the chairs and tables more comfortable, and if there is a problem with anything, the manager will come over.

We came back and things are now in order. It's also much easier now to get a table. It was less loud and the food was excellent.

I tiki ramen taco bar... and it somehow works!…read more I've been here many times. I like the tacos, my wife likes the ramen, and we both like the drinks. I like that the menu is constantly changing, so I can always try something new. There are usually a few staples, too. The tacos are priced reasonably so you can try several flavors. Every now and then there's one I don't like as much as the others, but that doesn't ruin the experience. The ramen is priced well for the amount you get, too. The only thing I consistently haven't liked is their guacamole. But I do like their avocado and salsas. They have a decent happy hour and, recently added, a "taco Tuesday." The kids menu options are pretty good, too. The hot dogs are a hit. Sometimes the buttered noodles are, too. The tiki drinks are great fun, and they're always trying something new. In the past, they've put lemonades in fun cups (like the hedgehog cup) so our kids can enjoy a "fancy drink." The service is pretty fast and consistent. They bring you a nice jug of water to help yourself with refills.

So it was shocking that I found such a good bowl out here in Erie. I got the Hellfire Ramen, a tonkotsu-based ramen served with their house spicy sauce, chili oil, pork shoulder, and a soft boiled egg. The broth was rich and flavorful, the spice level was perfect (quiet hot but still maintaining a good balance of flavors), and the pork shoulder was tender but still has a bit of nice toothsomeness. Overall, this was an excellent bowl of ramen comparable to any of the top spots in Denver. The only slight downside is that the broth was just a tough too salty for my liking, and I would've preferred a soy marinated egg over a soft boiled egg. They have other ramen here was well, such as a chicken-based shio ramen, a regular tonkotsu, and a Thai curry ramen. I definitely would return to try the other ramen. If the other items on this menu is as tasty, I wouldn't hesitate to give them 5 stars.

It should've been clue #1. We were sat at a table. The menu wasn't overly impressive. I'm not a fan of seeing dimsum, soup dumplings, etc. on the menu when the restaurant is called "Ramen" (just means they're trying to do everything and not one thing was specialized) so that was clue #2. But we stuck around and ordered. Food was just so bad. The ramen broth had zero flavor. It tasted like water (would've been nice to have some salt or msg). The eggs were cold and definitely premade in the fridge so biting into it was weird since it was the only cold item. The unagi don wasn't done right. The unagi did not taste fresh (definitely something frozen and heated). There was too much lettuce so the proportions weren't right. The spicy and salmon and spicy tuna rolls were just very mid. The chicken karrage was just some fried chicken in very old oil. It was very dry. The sauce tasted like it was poured from the sweet sour sauce bottles I buy. Overall, food wasn't great. Would not come back.

The waitress who took us to our table did so with a very bad attitude. She placed the menus on a table located in the middle of the restaurant. Since I was with my one-year-old baby, I thought it would be better to sit at a table at the end of the restaurant so we wouldn't inconvenience people walking by or trying to leave. I politely and respectfully asked if we could move to the empty table at the end. She did not respond to me. Instead, she threw the menus on the table, turned around, and walked away while complaining to other waitresses and giving uncomfortable looks. Of course, I stood up with my family and went to speak to another waitress. I apologized and told her we were going to leave because the situation felt very uncomfortable. I explained why I had asked for the other table, and she responded, "Do you want the table or not?" As someone who works in customer service, I believe employees should be very careful about how they speak and behave in front of customers. My experience at this place today was horrible.
