Sushi roll (I can't remember the name)
Kelly M.

I have so far only tried a few sushi rolls, but I am already impressed. They have immaculate service and the quality of the food is intoxicating. I love the beautiful ambiance too - it's always to clean and refreshing!

Lobster Rangoon, hot and sweet (like my wife) All these pics were taken halfway thru lunch. You get 6 of these per order. Delicious $6.50

This place rocks! Tucked away in a small strip mall, it doesn't look like much till you get inside. I always have the feeling I am on a cruise ship here. Contemporary decor, cozy and comfortable. The windows have a black screen to block outside light, warm orange lights set the mood. You are treated like royalty here. Everytime we come here the service is empecable. Shelly was our server today and she was outstanding. We like the Lobster Rangoon for starters. You get 6 and orange sauce. I was a little late snapping the pic. It shows just one. It was hot and fresh, and SO good! $6.50 Next was a Superman Roll, we always get it and it never disappoints. Crispy on the outside, subtle and bursting with flavor inside. ($12.00) full size. All these are lunch prices BTW. Main course was awesome. I got the Steak & Shrimp Hibachi and my Wife got just the Steak. Your steak is cooked to your specifications. It is definitely Sirloin and it melts in your mouth. Served with rice and stir fried vegetables it is SO SO good. We live in Covington and I feel comfortable saying Sapporo is one of the best restaurants here.

Hibachi chicken

Got here right at opening. Ordered the chicken lunch portion hibachi. It was very affordable ($9) and they didn't charge extra for the yum yum sauce which was nice. Food was pretty good. I also ordered a sushi roll (memphis roll) which was decent but not as good as the hibachi. Service was fine. Very fair priced menu. Would recommend.

Bland "Japanese" food. In reality it's Chinese buffet food on different plates. I wasn't impressed at all.

You know the food must be exceptional when customers are willing to drive two hours just to enjoy…read morethe barbecue. That was certainly the case for me, and I'm glad I made the trip. Today I ordered the lunch special: pulled pork barbecue with fresh homemade coleslaw, crispy French fries, and a Dr Pepper. Everything was delicious, fresh, and exactly what I was hoping for. I had the pleasure of meeting Kenzie, who provided excellent service, and the manager, Cory, who was friendly and welcoming. I learned that Kenzie makes all of the restaurant's homemade fried pies. Cory recommended the chocolate fried pie as one of his favorites, and after trying it, I completely agree--it was absolutely outstanding and the perfect way to finish the meal. The restaurant itself is older and a bit dated, but it is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, hometown atmosphere. During my visit, there were plenty of locals dining in, and I noticed a steady stream of customers picking up to-go orders, which says a lot about the quality of the food. I have high standards when it comes to food, customer service, and cleanliness, and I'm happy to say this restaurant met every one of them. If you're looking for authentic barbecue and friendly service, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It's definitely worth the drive. John Lobato, DIT

Met some friends for lunch. I tried the pulled pork and ribs combo, with baked beans and onion…read morerings as sides. I appreciate being able to choose onions rings as a side but my ribs were so-so, the beans bland ($23 with iced tea).. The others had chicken or pork sandwiches and even a fried pie to go. They were pleased. Service was good. Ambiance? Basically a large diner.
